TheBlaze TV Celebrates One-Year Anniversary With Beck’s Return to Traditional TV and DISH Network Launch

TheBlazeTV Celebrates One Year Anniversary With DISH Network LaunchContinuing on an upward trajectory, Wednesday marks the one-year anniversary of TheBlazeTV– formerly GBTV — with a significant expansion into the world of satellite television. Partnering with DISH Network, Glenn Beck’s online 24-hour news, information and entertainment network will now be available on television exclusively on DISH, joining a host of channels including MSNBC, BBC America, CNN, Current, Comedy Central and FOX News.

After launching exactly one year ago, TheBlazeTV rapidly grew into one of the world’s most subscribed-to online streaming networks. TheBlazeTV will be available to DISH viewers on channel 212 as part of DISH’s America’s Top 250 package or a la carte for $5 a month. The channel launches on Wednesday, September 12, at 5 p.m. EDT.

TheBlaze and its host of established and emerging talent including Andrew Wilkow, S.E. Cupp, Buck Sexton and Will Cain, will offer its programming as a free preview for all DISH customers through Sept. 26.

Of course, TheBlazeTV will continue to be available online at TheBlaze.com, where on-demand programs can be accessed with the click of a mouse.

“After being phenomenally successful with his online streaming network, we’re pleased to host Glenn Beck’s return to broadcast TV, especially during this exciting and important political season,” said DISH CEO and President Joseph Clayton in an official press release. “With Glenn’s return, DISH is truly the one stop for news, opinion and perspective across the full political spectrum.”

Excited for the future, Beck added, “TheBlaze has helped revolutionize television over the Internet and now we are excited to bring the revolution back to traditional television.”

“TheBlaze will be home to news, information and entertainment programming with the facts and stories people care about most and we look forward to kicking things off with DISH.”

Christopher Balfe, CEO of TheBlaze also weighed in, stating that the goal of the company was to “deliver TV over the Internet, not Internet TV.”

“Twelve months later, we’ve succeeded beyond our wildest imagination with content that built one of the world’s largest subscription streaming networks,” he added.

The line-up of programs will continue to grow, as well as feature all of the familiar faces people from around the world have come to know — from The Glenn Beck Program to Liberty TreeHouse, Real News From TheBlaze, to a brand new program hosted by Andrew Wilkow.

What’s more, TheBlaze.com concluded August with its best month ever, hosting over 9 million unique visitors and is led by a formidable team of media veterans including: President and CCO Joel Cheatwood, formerly a Senior Vice President at FoxNews and CNN, President and Chief Revenue Officer Kraig Kitchin who co-founded Premiere Radio Networks, and Betsy Morgan, President & Chief Strategy Officer who formerly served as CEO of The Huffington Post and as a Senior Vice President at CBS News.

TheBlazeTV can now be found on DISH channel 212

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Awesome! TheBlazeTV has a production quality that puts cable and TV networks to shame!. It is so refreshing to have panels, hosts and guests that are able to hold respectful conversations and make their points in a civilized environment. It has a fresh, modern, clean, smart look, not reliant on overproduced music and flashing ticker graphics (ala cable and network news) to distract the viewer. TheBlazeTV does interesting camera angels that make you feel like you are sitting around or across the table with the the participants. We stream it into our kitchen and enjoy the conversations on topics covered by TheBlazeTV. Congratulations on expanding your distribution so more people will find you!

This is good news and it is time that Christians start to behave like liberals and support people that we want to succeed. I know Glenn has talked about not boycotting and I am not advocating that but supporting Christians and Christian businesses has been a top agenda point for me for the last 20 years. I support Christian films as much as possible, Local Christian owned businesses like Chik Fil A. The more of us that do that the more Christians will feel the freedom to speak their minds and stand up for their beliefs.

Hallelujah! Living in the middle of a pasture in South Texas, my ISP did not have a high enough download speed to access Glenn Beck internet and I had to give up my subscription. I have Dish and am a happy camper today because: “He’s b-a-c-k”!!!! Congratulations, Glenn. You have been sorely missed.

That’s great! Where can I return my ROKU device?
Plus, I’ll be saving $120 a year in GBTV subscriptions since I already have DISH Networks.
I’m glad to see Glenn beg his way back onto traditional TV. That’ll be the only place to see Glenn once the Progressive Republicans get Obama re-elected and he shuts down the Internet.
Sorry to see Glenn’s dreams go up in flames…. “The Blaze”.

Terrific news! I’m sure there were moments when Glenn and company thought, “What are we doing? This will never work!” And then came GBTV and The Blaze and now this. Glenn, when you turn everything over to Him you relinquish control. See what happens? See what you did? And I have the feeling we’re just getting started.

You’re cutting things too close, as far as timing goes, for me but there are still almost 2 months and you can get the message out to a lot of people. Congratulations! Keep surprising us!

“will now be available on television exclusively on DISH” is hardly “traditional TV”.

I’d like the real story of why Beck is not on FoxNews anymore. He got canned, but why?

Add my congrats for a job well under way; while I use regular cable and not satellite, I’m happy to continue my $10/mo subscription and stay with my ROKU and laptop. Satellite TV in Florida is too ‘iffy’. I join others in saying that I hope it’s not TOO long before Glenn gets back on regular cable and goes head to head with MSNBC, CNN, and even FOX. Remember … revenge is a dish best served cold, and the Blaze will certainly leave them out in the cold!

I’m right there with you. And I don’t even see any benefit to switching to regular TV when I can choose what programs, and when I want to watch. But the good news is, he said that would still be available to us- and yet he will be able to reach millions more! That gives him mainstream access, without the mainstream baggage. I think it is a win for everyone- well, for people who prefer truth over lies.

Congratulations to Glenn and his hard working staff! The public that could not afford to pay has missed a lot of important information since he left FOX. This is a giant leap forward for us. His message is important and needs to be out there. It’s frightening where this President is taking this Country. I have to admit that I really enjoy the ON Demand feature of GBTV that allows me to watch his show on my time schedule. Here’s to hoping that he’ll fill the same 5:00 slot on Dish that he had before on FOX. Next step will be a cable network.

Congratulations Glenn and ALL involved – great work. What BlazeTV is doing needs to be seen by more and Dish should be an excellent venue. I, personally, will not subscribe to Dish because of a past problem that they just ignored until I reached a “higher-up” in the company, but I am going to go the Roku route. I will let all my friends who have Dish, and I know many, to watch. Truth is spreading and The Blaze is burning brightly – I could not be more excited. America needs MORE Blaze.

Ok DISH! You have just redeemed yourself after dropping AMC and making me miss The Walking Dead!!! Can’t wait!!! I have found it really hard with our busy family and my work to be able to watch Glenn’s show everyday or to even catch up on the ones I missed!

Don’t fret…At the end of each season, AMC offers the Walking Dead series on DVD. I purchased it for my son as a Christmas gift last year and will continue each year.To get the series at a discounted price, I see exactly which one it is on the AMC shopping site, then go to Amazon where it’s at least $20 less.

I’m so happy for Glenn, but I can’t get Dish or any satellite TV or radio because my apartment is in a “dead spot”, i.e., I’m behind a building in my complex and can’t get a signal. (Not all apartments here are like that; my neighbor across the way has a big DirecTV dish on his patio.). However, I plan to move to a 55+ complex next year, so you can be I will be a subscriber to Dish at that time.

You couldn’t have announced ONE month sooner, huh? I re-upped with DirectTV for a 2-year contract beginning of August, and I was kicking around the thought of switching to Dish. This definitely would have made my decision for me. Now I’m stuck for 2. Oh well – Yea for Blaze TV!!!!
