Clinton Blasts Anti-Islam Vid Blamed for Mideast Unrest: ‘Disgusting and Reprehensible’

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Thursday sharply condemned the anti-Islam video blamed at least in part for sparking deadly protests against American missions in the Arab world as “disgusting and reprehensible,” but said there was no justification for the violence.

“To us, to me personally, this video is disgusting and reprehensible. It appears to have a deeply cynical purpose: to denigrate a great religion and to provoke rage,” Clinton said. “But as I said yesterday there is no justification, none at all, for responding to this video with violence.”

Clinton said the U.S. government “had absolutely nothing to do with this video” and absolutely rejects it content and message. Still, she said the U.S. has a “long tradition of free expression” and “we do not stop individual citizens from expressing their views, no matter how distasteful they may be.”

“There should be no debate about the simple proposition that violence in response to speech is not acceptable,” Clinton said. “Violence we believe has no place in religion and is no way to honor religion.”

rick warren and other churches bringing in the muslims and the koran into their churches with their members and teaching the koran is uterley dumb trying to appease the muslims. the god of the koran is satan the God of the bible is God the 2 don’t mix. appeasing the muslims so they will kill you last. dumb. if you see a church teaching chrislum this is what it is. this is not a church

  I didn’t watch the inauguration in 2009, but when I heard and read that rick warren prayed in the name of esa, the muslim’s Jesus, I got sick. He acknowledged a false god. I threw out the couple of books I had of his, and a year or so later, I read his church was having financial difficulties. Go figure. God told us we’ll reap what we sow.

Gee, I wonder how much it is going to cost us for the Muslim World to love us! I suspect the Muslims would rather see Hillary in a top to bottom curtain than a pant suit!!! Maybe the Muslims do not like our war on women, after all they hold them just below goats in their society and birth control to them is out of the question!!! Time for another apology tour!!!!

I can go to Netflix or HULU and find 30 or more videos that are more offensive,Disgusting and Reprehensible towards Christians.Do They riot and kill people? No. But Of Course Clinton can not blame the Muslims.Clinton blames the film. Here comes Fast And Furious against the first amendment. It is called Political Correctness but the goal is the same.

Interesting. Abortion, the killing of an unborn baby is a civil right to Clinton. Sodomy is a civil right to Clinton. Islam, which has NO real democracies, NO human rights where they rule, VIOLENCE where they rule, is a great religion to Clinton. It is Disgusting and Reprehensible to criticize Islam, but to say anything against a Christian is normal. More evidence that what the Bible says is true. In the last days, people will call good, evil, and evil, good.

In attempting to twist the narrative as to Mitt Romney “jumping the gun” I didn’t see a single news program that included as part of the statement fom the embassy in Egypt; the part about how somone(the filmmaker) “abused their free speech rights under our first amendment.”
That’s the part that Romney was responding to. And his response to that embassy statement happened “BEFORE” anyone had announced anything about Libya(not when the event happened) but when it became local news.

why is our secretary of state commenting on some video? her remarks are completely offensive. The focus should be on the murder of a U.S. Ambassador and co-workers on U.S. territory, clearly an act of war. This is the true face of Islam, stop making excuses and face the enemy.

  I heard Limbaugh’s show today and he said there were reports the ambassador was raped prior to his murder.I haven’t heard or seen anyone else report this but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least.
  It is an act of war to kill our ambassador but Barry will fix this by sending billions of dollars to Libya and Egypt.

I agree with Mrs. Clinton, I would not like to see Jesus portrayed in that way, the problem is that, I had seen it portrayed like that, I have seen bibles burned and crosses dip in human waste (and called art paid with our tax money) I have know of Christians being persecuted, beaten, put in jail or killed, but still I have not storm any embassy, church or building, nor burn any flag of any country.

Mrs. Clinton stop making apologies for us, these attacks have nothing to do with the film, they just plain hate freedom of religion, expression and of government, just as much as most liberals.

I’m still waiting for an Official declaration to the Arab world that America is a Democratic Country where freedom of speech and freedom of the Press are guaranteed by our Constitution. Obviously Hillary has kowtowed.

How would you like to be a U.S. Marine trying to guard an American Embassy in the Middle East and your Rules of Engagement do NOT allow you to SHOOT TERRORISTS coming over the Embassy Wall ? How would you like to be a U.S. Marine enroute to one of those embassies to reinforce the Marine Contingent, BUT with NO Change in your Rules of Engagement ? How would our American Armed Forces like to actually vote in the upcoming election without interference from their OWN Commander-in-Chief ? How would YOU like to defend ALL of Obama’s FAILURES ?

The continuous claim the film is responsible for the uprisings proves this admin is clueless in leading this nation. America is not buying their bs! Nothing would please me more than to see this woman and the criminal-in-chief in orange jumpsuits. They aided and abetted these countries (Libya was bo’s war) to arm them and allow the militants who hate America into power. In my opinion, they are responsible for bringing these attacks against America with their standing up with these muslims and against America and its citizens. And, it is now known that security WAS NOT allowed to use live ammo.
