Clinton Blasts Anti-Islam Vid Blamed for Mideast Unrest: ‘Disgusting and Reprehensible’
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Thursday sharply condemned the anti-Islam video blamed at least in part for sparking deadly protests against American missions in the Arab world as “disgusting and reprehensible,” but said there was no justification for the violence.
“To us, to me personally, this video is disgusting and reprehensible. It appears to have a deeply cynical purpose: to denigrate a great religion and to provoke rage,” Clinton said. “But as I said yesterday there is no justification, none at all, for responding to this video with violence.”
Clinton said the U.S. government “had absolutely nothing to do with this video” and absolutely rejects it content and message. Still, she said the U.S. has a “long tradition of free expression” and “we do not stop individual citizens from expressing their views, no matter how distasteful they may be.”
“There should be no debate about the simple proposition that violence in response to speech is not acceptable,” Clinton said. “Violence we believe has no place in religion and is no way to honor religion.”

Posted on September 14, 2012 at 11:36amHey Hillary, how about satnd up for our country for once. Stop apologizing to the world. America had done more good that harm and its about time this administration gets it. Its to bad the wack jobs get offended. Unfortunately they are quite easily offended by anything, but that is not who should be apologizing. We have been taking it on the chin since 1979. Its time they started taking on the chin.. We should be sending a clear message that we as a country will not tolerate any of our citizens being harmed in any way. If you do you pay the price. If you cant handle the job perhaps it is time for this administartion to retire. Reagan would not have apologized..

Posted on September 14, 2012 at 9:22amOk…upfront. Does the film maker have a right in America to put together such a film? Yes. I watched it last night. Tasteful? Probably not. But I’m having trying to figure out why one of our American officials apologizes for the film and calls it out… Bad taste? Here’s my reason I’m struggling with this. When was the last time an American official…acting on behalf of the American people, called out and apologized to Christians for films such as Bill Maher’s Religulous, or Dogma or many South Park episodes etc.
Seems to me that we need to simply and strongly call out those that move to violence because their “religious feelings” were hurt.
Ok…got that off my back. My guess is that this story is going to be just the beginning of many including stories of lawmakers who want to protect “feelings” by written law that will oppose our constitution.
Thanks for reading my brain cramp.

Posted on September 14, 2012 at 12:59am2 Questions, if I may?
1) What the hell are those flags she is sitting between and why is Ol Glory in the background??!! Is this a subtle message to their new (Arab) moral leaders? Is She Signaling our dhimmitude.
2) Why is the call by Ayman al-Zawari in a video just released encouraging believers to seek vengeance for the death by drone of just another #2 al-Qaeda leader, an innocent boy with a dream from Libya, not enough to provoke vengeance in the Arabs streets?

Posted on September 14, 2012 at 12:09amJMHO: Obama wanting to “police” the web, even signing EO on the matter. The Government screens everything we say and do online, yet this gets past their filters? Utube even ‘warns’ viewers of music video that might be offensive, yet this gets through? This seems to be a well choreagraphed plan that takes us one step closer to something big. This might be my last comment as we all know “we” are being watched here at the Blaze!

Posted on September 13, 2012 at 11:19pmI reject the fairy tale that these attacks were the direct result of “muslim outrage” in response to a 4 month old internet movie trailer on Youtube. The timing of these attacks was no coincidence…they were designed to poke the United States in the eye on the anniversary of the 9-11 attacks.
And it’s abundantly clear that the President, and our own intelligence agencies were obviously asleep at the wheel and 4 Americans are dead as a result.
We’ve been told for years that radical Muslims hate and attack us because of our “imperialistic foreign policy”…but now that we have a new guy in the White House….the guy who killed OBL (and can’t stop spiking the football in celebration)….the guy who likes to remind everyone of how many deadly Drone strikes he’s authorized….we’re all supposed to swallow the line of BS that our foreign policy is no longer to blame and that acts of terror against the US are now the fault of internet videos?
The same people prattling on about our newfangled, highly “nuanced” and “sophisticated” foreign policy and diplomacy want all of us to blindly swallow this simplistic, “official truth” sound-bite telling us that internet videos that aren’t “down with the prophet” and an obscure Pastor in Florida are now the biggest threats to our national security and stability in the Middle East.
It’s pure nonsense.
We look pathetically weak and feckless in the eyes of the world and in the eyes of our enemies. T

Posted on September 13, 2012 at 9:23pmChristians are attacked and killed around the world. In the US, they are mocked. Obama has attempted to force Christians to forgo their beliefs as relates to contraception, and forces taxpayers to pay for late term abortions, irregardless of their belifs against such immoral actions. Yet the same people get upset if they preceive that someone has “hurt the feelings of Islamists”.

Posted on September 13, 2012 at 8:52pmWait just a minute!
If anyone should be protesting in the streets it should be us in the aftermath of the slaughter/rape and torture of our citizens on 9/11.in Libya.
They say.. but you can’t condemn all Muslims.
Really? Aren’t they condemning all American? . killing Amricans there to help them? burning the flag of a country that sends billions of dollars to them while our own citizens live in poverty?
They need to control their citizens like all civilized countries.. no excuses.
Maybe Hillary should go and spew her pearls of wisdom in the square where all those really nice Muslims are protesting.. surely they will be kind and understanding because she has been so nice to them!.
I am so sick of this stupid liberal group think nicey nice with terrorists and ugliness towards fellow Americans… s.i.c.k.o.f.i.t.
