Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm made headlines last week for her wildly energetic speech at the Democratic National Convention. This week, the Current TV host is getting attention for an entirely different type of appearance — as a contestant on “The Dating Game.”
The video is from 1978, and if you can get past the bad hair and 70s clothes, it is pretty entertaining.
“Let’s have a big hand for the cute and curvaceous Jennifer Granholm,” the announcer says. He also says Granholm is from British Columbia and is, back then, “currently working in public relations.”
In the video, the 19-year-old Granholm has huge blonde hair, a low-cut blouse and jean suspenders. Some of the questions she asked the “bachelors” included, “What was the most famous girl you ever dated famous for?” And “What form of transportation should all girls be built like and why?” And of course, “Roses are red, violets are orange, when I take a shower…”
