Who’s the Woman Behind the Viral Video ‘Obamacare Summed Up In One Sentence’?

On Wednesday, Glenn Beck played a viral video that has been viewed more than 800,000 times. The video, “Obamacare Summed Up In One Sentence” features Dr. Barbara Bellar, a Chicago woman who is also running for a State Senate seat in Illinois.

Dr. Bellar is not your typical politician and certainly does not fit the mold of a “Chicago” politico. In fact, she’s:

An ex-nun
An Army Reserve vet
A family practice physician (as she says, “from cradle to grave, from diapers to diapers, from womb to tomb”)
A lawyer
A motorcycle-riding, animal lover

TheBlaze spoke with the unique candidate and discussed the video and her candidacy for the district that covers southwestern suburbs of Chicago as well as the city’s 19th Ward — a Democratic stronghold. She won the Republican primary after winning the endorsement from the Chicago Tribune last spring.

So what’s the story behind the video? The GOP candidate was speaking at a “Women for Romney” event in Chicagoland in late August. There, she delivered a run-on sentence blasting Obamacare and its implementation. To be clear, she didn’t write it, and it’s been attributed to many different folks — including Donald Trump. But Trump did not write it either, and we do not believe he has ever used the full sentence. In fact, it has been bouncing around the internet since March 18, 2010 (that’s the earliest post we could find).

But while she cannot take credit for writing the clever rant against the Affordable Care Act, Bellar does say that she should get kudos for her delivery and that her status as a medical doctor adds credibility to the presentation. You can watch that delivery below:

“So, let me get this straight (this is a long sentence), we’re going to be gifted with a healthcare plan we are forced to purchase, and fined if we don’t, which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn’t understand it, passed by a congress that didn’t read it, but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn’t pay his taxes, for which we will be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that’s broke. So what the blank could possibly go wrong?”

ObamaCare and ‘you have to pass it to see what’s in it’ reminds me of the low-IQ football player who was chastised by the coach “Can’t you pass that football”? HIs reply: “Gee, coach, I donno–I’m not even sure I can swallow it!” Well guess what, Fancy Nancy, YOU might have passed it, but we’re not at all sure that we can swallow it! I think we need a new law–namely, that Congress cannot pass a law that exempts it from what it requires of others!

As a doctor AND a lawyer (good Lord, how do you do that?), I guess she’s in a unique position to assess this fiasco of a law. Fabulous sentence. Well done.

OBAMACARE is government over reach. It is wealth re-distrubution pure and simple. It ursurps the rule of law and gives a SMALL group of BEAUROCRATS total control over EVERYONE’s health care. That means rationing and justification for DENIAL of health care services. Look at Canada. Look at Britian. Does this kind of socialist healthcare system provide better healthcare? The answer is a resounding NO!! The Supreme Court’s ruling only amplifies this. The law is and always has been a tax. This is the first reason it should have been struck down. Now the government is TELLING US what we should believe, what we should contribute to someone else’s burden to the system, etc.

This is not what the FOUNDERS wanted for this country. This is what the FOUNDERS ensured should not happen by promoting the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Go to school AMERICA. Learn your heritage and FIGHT to KEEP it!

I’ve seen her speak. She’s amazing. If you look at the bottom of the picture, you’ll notice that she’s standing on the CONDENSED version of the Affordable Care Act. She’s about 5′ tall… and BRILLIANT and ADORABLE.

To those of you that mentioned NWO and Agenda 21, there is also a faction out there that believes that the optimal pop. count is about 1 billion (we are now @ ±7 billion)

What more efficient way to reduce it than through healthcare ? Sperm to worm…only the strong survive (i.e. those who produce taxable income, if you don’t, Adios). Margaret Sanger would be proud.

This doctor has no idea what she’s talking about. And, she’s terribly mean-spirited. I’m sure glad that I don’t have to rely on her for my medical care. She’s in desperate need of some education. I suggest she actually read the bill. And, she should be following the President’s success with his quitting smoking. He did so years ago. Silly trite lady. A shame.

I hope that woman gets elected, she might be able to turn things around for the bankrupt state of Illinois—who now have no kids in school because the Teacher’s union is on strike! All that while the Chicago teachers block the streets of Chicago with their protests and have a very obese leader of the union! Speaks volumns on how pathetic the state of Illinois truly is as well a Rahm Emmauel’s city!
