Who’s the Woman Behind the Viral Video ‘Obamacare Summed Up In One Sentence’?

On Wednesday, Glenn Beck played a viral video that has been viewed more than 800,000 times. The video, “Obamacare Summed Up In One Sentence” features Dr. Barbara Bellar, a Chicago woman who is also running for a State Senate seat in Illinois.

Dr. Bellar is not your typical politician and certainly does not fit the mold of a “Chicago” politico. In fact, she’s:

An ex-nun
An Army Reserve vet
A family practice physician (as she says, “from cradle to grave, from diapers to diapers, from womb to tomb”)
A lawyer
A motorcycle-riding, animal lover

TheBlaze spoke with the unique candidate and discussed the video and her candidacy for the district that covers southwestern suburbs of Chicago as well as the city’s 19th Ward — a Democratic stronghold. She won the Republican primary after winning the endorsement from the Chicago Tribune last spring.

So what’s the story behind the video? The GOP candidate was speaking at a “Women for Romney” event in Chicagoland in late August. There, she delivered a run-on sentence blasting Obamacare and its implementation. To be clear, she didn’t write it, and it’s been attributed to many different folks — including Donald Trump. But Trump did not write it either, and we do not believe he has ever used the full sentence. In fact, it has been bouncing around the internet since March 18, 2010 (that’s the earliest post we could find).

But while she cannot take credit for writing the clever rant against the Affordable Care Act, Bellar does say that she should get kudos for her delivery and that her status as a medical doctor adds credibility to the presentation. You can watch that delivery below:

“So, let me get this straight (this is a long sentence), we’re going to be gifted with a healthcare plan we are forced to purchase, and fined if we don’t, which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn’t understand it, passed by a congress that didn’t read it, but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn’t pay his taxes, for which we will be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that’s broke. So what the blank could possibly go wrong?”

Single payer is the real solution. Get your head out your ass, if your going to say it’s a government take over of the economy. Healthcare shouldn’t be for profit, it should be for healing. Single payer reduces costs, as the whole system is connected to each other. Not having someone else get the bill (insurance company). Insurance companies want to reduce their costs, so they reduce payments, so people die over profits.

I have a solution, i have see a couple of libs on here asking for one. It is not an easy one, but obviously I could not describe all of the details on one reply. But this is just the first step to a way out. We would go to a cash only visit in doctors offices. Now this would be for anything minor, cuts, scrapes , stiches, broken fingers and such. Each patient would be labeled a level of care, each level of care would come at a certain cost. If you reached a high level (such as a level 10 for example) you would be rushed to the hospital. You would have insurance for hospital visits only. Cut out insurance for drs offfices and this would save billions alone. I could keep going. But you can see where I am headed. At some point , we are all going to have to go to a cash system and cut out insurance. Insurance (medicare and medicaid) are gigantic weights on our system. they are necessary in some cases , but every patient needs skin the game to help with the cost. No more free rides.

That is marvelous. haha She would get my vote in a corrupt Chicago minute. Let’s send the corruption out of our cities and our nation. Let’s put in honest men and women where the corrupt were!! Send them packing for fear of the criminal charges of theft from the American people. Let’s do an Elliot Ness round up. These corrupt people belongings, banks accounts all over the world can be confisicated to pay back the American people’s coffer. Go back to the gold standard, right after the fed is totally abolished. Tell the world, that the welfare spigot has dried up. No money to be sent out as Americans first and then out of our abundance we make Godly decisions on helping our poor, then other countries. We are putting our house in order. Let our honest churches minister to the 3rd world countries as they do a much better job than gov’t. Free Americans from being the slaves of 3rd world despots compliments of the Federal Government. Let Freedom ring! I like that one long sentence. A girl after my own heart. hahahah
