Former Secret Service Agent Tells Wilkow Obama Administration Has Shown ‘Sheer Incompetence’ in Handling Libya Attack

On Friday, TheBlazeTV’s Andrew Wilkow hosted former Secret Service agent and GOP Senate candidate Dan Bongino to discuss the facts surrounding the deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya earlier this week. U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three of his staff were killed when an angry mob of Islamists stormed the compound.

Bongino said there are only two possible reasons the U.S. was as unprepared for the fiery assault as it was.

“Either this was the worst threat assessment done by completely incompetent people or the threat assessment was accurate and was ignored,” he said. “And a valid question is, was it ignored for political reasons? I’m not making accusations, I don’t have the data. No one at the State Department is talking.”

The former Secret Service agent went on say the State Department has shown “sheer incompetence” in handling the situation and accused the Obama administration of having a “history of secrecy” in similar situations.

“We’ve seen this before with this administration, politics before security,” Bongino added.

Agreeing, Wilkow readily admitted that he is no security expert, but said with an anti-Muslim video running on state-run TV, “you might say to the embassy, you know what, just keep an eye out.”

Not fair! Obama is busy campaigning. American deaths, intrusion on our soil, desecration of our flag, and intelligence meetings make him very sleepy. He cares a lot, about “free” birth control pills for women provided by religious institutions that don’t believe in contraception and abortion.

He is also against “irresponsible” and “unpatriotic” spending policies.

If you live in Maryland, Dan Bongino needs your support. He’s an excellent and energizing candidate and we need to get him elected. There’s a group in Maryland that “supports” Dan, but they have chosen to send busses to Pa to campaign for Romney. Seems to be some political payback in the works for an upcoming candidate in 2014 . Dan need ” boots on the ground” in Maryland. Dan will also be the keynote speaker at the Cecil County Tea Party on Saturday, Sept. 29th at Micks Crab House on Pulaski Highway from 11 to 1:00. Yes you are and no you don’t!

So what do Wilkow or Bongino know about it? What a great interview subject/story! Not! Just shooting from the hip. The lips are moving with no substance or evidence for the claims.

If attacks by hot-head idiots in the mideast at American facilities is a sign of incompetence of the president then I would assume it holds true for any president or attack? There have been attacks of US diplomatic facilities during past administrations such as Reagan, Carter and George W. Bush. (12 attacks during Bush years…8 under the helm of Don Rumsfeld, who had the brass to attack Obama for something that occurred with Rumsfeld’s all-knowing guidance?)

Here is something that really should bring suspicion and questions. 17 of Gov. Romney’s 24 Foreign Policy advisors were with the W. Bush administration. You know the same administration which witnessed September 11th. (and were warned in advance about terrorist attacks on American soil.)

If Wilkow and Bongino are genuinely concerned about security & presidential response they should be looking at and condemning Mitt Romney’s hasty, knee-jerk political reaction that occurred between the Cairo and Libya attacks and then his second inappropriate, idiotic statement after the USA had suffered loss.

      You’re absolutely right:

      1) NO mention whatsoever of those who were injured. It’s as if they don’t exist, or it doesn’t matter if an American is wounded in a terrorist attack.

      2) We don’t really know how Stevens or the SEALs died. Smoke inhalation, my @ss. My educated guess is they were taken hostage and that’s why: a) those who were able to exit the compound could not find him and left without him; b) nobody knew Stevens’ whereabouts for several hours, and c) Hussein & gang were silent as to the SEALs’ identities.

      3) We don’t even know if the two former SEALs came back home in one piece, given what happened to Daniel Pearl and the fact that these al-Qaeda affiliates HATE the SEALs. Again, my gut feeling is that they were tortured and worse, but because they worked for the govt., their families were compelled to remain silent. It is very telling that the attackers did not film the dead SEALs or their manner of death, perhaps so they can keep on pretending this was all about a movie and Hussein won’t be forced to hunt them down.

That ‘peace through strength’ bit might have passed in the war on communism but these are different times

These people in the middle east have suffered at the hands of brutal dictators for decades. Across the middle east, many of these dictators were puppets of the US or western governments. Now, they have removed the chains of dictatorship and feel empowered. They are pissed, islamists, poor, and feel like the rest of the world hates them.

If we try to ‘show some force’ and set them straight – it is going to backfire. We cannot control a billion islamists. They dont fear our guns or bombs like they used to. The game is changing and we cannot rely on the game plan from 30 years ago

I did not say to follow the exact strategy we used decades ago. Peace through strength is a foundation that results in a different outcome. Less apologizing, more direct statements about how we will defend Americans–especially on our own soil.

Militant muslims have literally slapped away the open hand offered to them by Obama. They lust after murder and destruction. Chanting for his death by the tens of thousands. I’m glad that people like Andrew Wilkow are speaking up.
I wish the lame-stream media ABC, CBS, and NBC, would pull their heads out of Obama’s **** and smell the brimstone. Obama is evil. American citizens should be told the truth about Obama, before the November election.

Let’s see what we know here. Dear Leader and his buddies had a 48 hour notice of the impending attack and did nothing. One ambassador was sodomized, dragged through the streets for close to an hour and killed while three of his people were also murdered. The marines and private security were not allowed to have live ammunition at either embassy.
The attackers were chanting “We’re all Osama’s now,Obama!” while having their fun on the anniversary of 9/11 when their hero attacked New York causing them to be dancing in the streets with joy!
Dear Leader and crew have been trying desperately to spin this somehow so they don’t look like the fools they are.
We’re supposed to believe the nonsense that this is because of a lousy film nobody saw.
We’re not supposed to believe it was an attack on America, which it actually was, by the fools in Washington DC and the bigger fools in our media.
    Incompetence, no. Treason, yes.
What we have come to expect from Dear Leader, absolutely!

We were the ones attack on 911. Shouldn’t we have been the ones burning the flags at the Middle East Embassies? Shouldn’t we have been the ones shouting and protesting the presence of these Embassies on American soil? Shouldn’t we be offended by our flag being burned? Who is apologizing to us for all the deaths on 911, or the death of our Ambassador and 3 honorable soldiers? Why do we sit back and take this abuse? Why in God’s name is this administration apologizing to anyone! Stop the billions we give to these countries. This is getting to be overwhelming and its time for a new administration.

    I call BS.

The Obama and his friends have orchestrated this event from Arab Spring to its conclusion.

What they’re losing control of is the media.

They will tell us anything to deflect inquiries into the real culpability and connection with Barry Soetero, Soros and his oil wells in Sudan-Nigeria-Uganda and the muslim brotherhood social club and debate society.

Be prepared. Learn to lift your **** in the air and bray to Mecca. Or is that MeCha?

Hopefully, the obama & Circus Co. will pack-up their circus tent Jan 2013 and head on back to Chicago land. Maybe obama will get his old job as Community Organizer back, and Michelle will become a dietary adviser for fat kids.

The true part of Mr. Bongino’s statement is he doesn’t have information.

The untrue parts are that he’s not making accusations and the State Department isn’t talking. The State Department is doing lots of talking. Mr. Bongino is to busy flapping his lips to listen.

@marybeth. And I forgot to mention….these wonderful folks you seem to support, IF granted power over the USA would certainly institute their laws. You would be subjugated to 1/2 of a man, have no say in what goes on. Could be raped and blamed for being raped. Your children would then become conveninient bomb delivery devices. Have you read any history? These immoral tribal third world folks want you to become emboldend to their “religeon”. I suspect you don’t even like religeon of any sort since it appears you have a secular agenda. Well, history is going to repeat again. The next few months will be very interesting.

If all you Keys are so scared, consider who is emboldening the enemy by publicly whining that the President is weak?

      Maybe Mr. Beck?
      Maybe Mr Bongino?

If you are afraid then you should tell them to either shut up of say how strong the President is and how those bad guys should be shaking in their boots.

The psychological war is important. The kind of negative statements that Mr Bongino is making in answer to Mr. Wilcow’s leading questions are retreats and white flags.

@marybeth. So, what your saying is that no matter how bad Obama is doing, we should have his back for psychological reasons? Please get out of academia theory and join the real world. These folks only respect strength backed up by killing. They do not care about the sanctity of life. They are emboldended to an in my opinion and fact check, a made up religeon. They have been doing it for 1500 years. Their indoctrination system for children is far superior to the DOE in America because in America we can still choose, albeit at great additonal cost to send our children to schools we believe are better. Anyway, Obama brought this on himself. He has the blood of those four men on his hands. Andy by the way, they were MEN of honor and were defending your right to spew your liberal left indoctrinated mind numbing lack of honest thought to what the real world is about thoughts. The real Martin Luther described the fourth commandment as the highest of all. Why? Honor your father and mother. Christians believe in love. Martin Luther pointed out the Honor was higher than Love. Oh My! How could this be? Honor is the highest respect for others, it takes diligence and persistence to love. To be honored is hard to achieve. It is very easily lost. Obama never earned it.

It’s not incompetence if you are forewarned and do nothing to defend those whom you are sworn to defend.

“As for the attack in Libya, in an online posting the night before he was killed, US Foreign Service information management officer Sean Smith warned of the impending strike. Smith wrote, “Assuming we don’t die tonight. We saw one of our ‘police’ that guard the compound taking pictures.”
