See a Heckler Be Led Out By the Neck During Paul Ryan’s Speech
You have to admire the gumption of liberals who decide to protest conservatives right in the middle of their own turf. Whether it was the protester who tried to shout down Sarah Palin at CPAC, or the man who brazenly rushed the stage while Rep. Paul Ryan was speaking, the simultaneous oversupply of guts and undersupply of self-preservation is quite something to behold.
Now, there’s another person preparing to join this hall of protest fame. Mediaite reports that Paul Ryan was heckled today during his speech at the Values Voters Summit — a gathering that parallels CPAC in political orientation, but which is generally focused more on social issues than on economic issues:
During his Friday afternoon speech before the Value Voters Summit in Washington, D.C., Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan was heckled by a protestor who was promptly escorted off the premises.
As Ryan spoke about critics labeling Republicans “anti-government,” a protestor shouted something mostly inaudible except for the word “corporations.”

A protester is led away by security after he interrupted a speech by Republican vice presidential candidate, Rep. Paul Ryan, R- Wis., at the Values Voters Summit in Washington, Friday, Sept. 14, 2012. Credit: AP
This brief interruption of Ryan’s speech can be seen below:

There are several functions of money but about the only two things a person can do with it is either spend it or save it.
Austrian economics holds that if a person is thrifty and doesn’t spend all their money (blow their whole paycheck), they should get a reward.
That reward is profit. The bigger the savings (wealth) the bigger the reward (profit).
Government policy supports this view.
This explains why the rich are getting richer; why wealth being concentrated in fewer and fewer hands.
It’s not my theory. If it doesn’t make sense don’t blame me.

Congratulations on winning dumbest post of the week. How, pray tell me, does
“wealth get redistributed upwards?” How many poor folks own companies and employ people?
How many food-stamp and welfare recipients designed, built, advertised, and sold the iPhone and iPads? Yes, Apple is a corporation, too.
Please, do not post anymore about economics or how economies work, because you haven’t a clue.

Posted on September 14, 2012 at 4:47pmMarybeth, saving money creates interest and added income not profit. Profit comes from making money from goods and services. If you don’t have a good product or service yu lose money even if you try and save it. The only time that the rich really seem to get richer is when they stop investing because of the people who want to tax everything they have earned.
