CAIRO (AP) — Al-Qaida’s branch in Yemen has praised the killing of the U.S. ambassador in Libya and called for more attacks to expel American embassies from Muslim nations.

The statement, posted Saturday on Islamic militant websites, suggested al-Qaida was trying to co-opt the wave of angry protests in the Muslim world over a film produced in the United States denigrating the Prophet Muhammad.

Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula said the killing this week of Ambassador Chris Stevens in an attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi was “the best example” for those attacking embassies.

It said protesters’ aim should be to “expel the embassies of America from the lands of the Muslims” and called on protests to continue in Muslim nations “to set the fires blazing at these embassies.”

    a more effective approach……………helicopter gunships, assault weaponry, etc. give these folks something they understand.

    maybe a byproduct of this would be to regain some of the respect we lost by electing a poosey president.

Also what draws suspect is the fact that some agencies, I believe have issued solicitation for a whole lot of weapons (i.e. Social Security Adm, National Oceanaic And atmopheric adm., Dept of Homeland Security). A solicitaiton was issued by each of these agencies for bid in FEDBIZOPS. Why would Soc Sec Adm want to purchase 154000 hollow point bullets shipped to 41 locations:which includes: Los Angeles, Detroit, Oklahoma City, dallas, houstton, atlanta, denver philadelphia, Pittsburg and Seattle??? Something is up, but we wont know until we get closer to the elections. Makes one go hmmmmmmm??? Well all I can say is prepare for the worst but hope for the best.

I like to think I follow a Jesus who has the ability to pick 2000 pound Bingo tables in the synagog and throw them across the room. Don’t get me wrong, I do on occasions enjoy the Chicken Casseroles at Church, but I would much rather get up in the morning, and put on the whole armor of God and go out and blow Satan’s wig off every chance I get with the word of God.

    Folks, these aren’t noble savages who, but for our presence, would go about their business in peace. That lie is getting REAL old. Having said that, I’m all for leaving the vast, Islamic world to wallow in its own brand of misery. These people aren’t our friends, don’t wanna be ‘converted’ to our values and are masters at identifying enemies. Our representatives (R & D) need to stop thinking we can win hearts and minds in any concern dominated by this brand of crazy. That is a maudlin platitude to excuse interventionism. I believe most Americans are quite done sacrificing our sons and daughters to the ol’ “hearts and minds” meat grinder.
    Ignore the enablers and apologists. They are predictable and have argumens based on different rules for different peoples & dependent upon ignorance. We either get out of these geographical armpits, or we allow our reps to relegate our military to the role of social worker/cop/convenient target. I say if these wizards wanna save the Islamic world, they need to put their butts where their mouths are.
    Respond as needed. Play nice when you can. Bring down the hammer when you must. Most of the Islamic world is addicted to hate. Only the addict can choose to change. You can’t force it and we don’t appear to have the resolve to beat the zealots into submission (as they wish to do to us).

      America chose to back the interests of American and European Jews over the indigenous Muslims in Palestine. That choice has consequences. We made friends with roughly one million Jews, and enemies of roughly one billion Muslims. The Muslims occupied lands full of natural resources that are beneficial to America. The Jews occupied a tiny strip of land of little value.

      The choice was foolish. We made that choice. Quit digging. Get out. They’re all nuts.

      I would suggest you look back a map of Muslim conquests beginning in the 7th and 8th Centuries. Nearly all of the Muslim countries in existence had Islam “imposed” upon them centuries ago. It explains all the arabic architecture in the Iberian Peninsula. The only reason Spain and Portugal aren’t muslim today is because they’d been kicked out by the 12th Century. The stated goals of Islam have not changed, they were simply put on hold after the fall of the Ottoman Empire…until now. The growth of Islam in Europe and Southern Asia is all a part the subtle conquest of those regions. Your comments seem more anti-jew than pro-Islam, but your argument that this all started in 1948 is a little shortsighted. This would have become an issue no matter what Truman did. It’s all a part of a larger movement that has more to do with a tainted ideology than it does mere political expansion or pay back for any actions on our part, real or perceived. Having dealt with these folks gun barrel to gun barrel I can assure you this will not end simply because we leave the region and isolate ourselves. We will be fighting these mutts for a very long time…overseas and within our borders. You can whine about the past all you want. Who started what, blah, blah. It’s all moot. Following the paper trail and recorded comments prior to the Iraq invasion, I’d say it was a war justified by the people who wanted it, not just in the U.S. and not just on one side of the ideological spectrum.

They had every right to bomb the living p*ss out of Iraq during the Gulf War…yet we imposed conditions on them to keep the conflict from going regional. That is just one example.       As for support, we support, train and equip nearly every arabic military that does not sponsor terrorist activities as a national policy. Egypt has over 1100 M1 Abrams tanks, 1700 American M60A3 Tanks

      Sorry…cut myself off. To continue, I have been on training missions to nearly every friendly country in the region, including Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt. The only friendly country in the region I haven’t been to as a trainer / advisor was ISRAEL. We have supplied these Arab nations with some of our most sophisticated weapons systems, armored vehicles, aircraft (to include F-15 and F16s, Hellfire Missiles etc) and training. In the case of Egypt we had even given them license to build the M1A2 version of the Abrams under license in their country. This is a tank capable of devastating Israeli armor. How is that “unconditional” support for Israel. We equip them to fight the Israelis…I disagree with it, but it is part of our foreign policy. Aside from the hardware and training we have also given these governments billions in aid and other support over the years. We train their pilots in the U.S. and their troops train on our bases here and abroad. Their junior and senior commissioned officers attend some of our military leadership schools. I have attended schools here in the states with military members from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and the Arab Emirates. But in 30 years I never trained with an Israeli in the U.S…. Now this is just on the military side…I haven’t enumerated the political and humanitarian support…but I do recall the U.S. spending hundreds of billions to resort old mosques…not synagogues or temples. Unconditional support, really?

    This crazy dream of spreading Democracy to the middle east has been a dismal failure and a massive waste of American lives and taxpayer money . These societies do not appear to be civilized enough to handle the responsibility that comes with freedom and most likely this is why they always end up with one of two forms of government
    A) oppressive dictatorship rule . or B) oppressive Theocracy
    Enough is enough ! We need to …
    1) remove all of our troops , diplomats , etc from the middle east
    2) Immediately cease all foreign aid spending to these countries
    3) Use our returning military to secure our nation’s borders and expel all foreign trouble makers back to their country of origin
    4 ) develop our own energy resources and technology to their fullest capabilities so we are not sending our money to support our enemies in the middle east .
    This Amercan strategy of paying other (hostile) countries to be our friends is insanity

      Yes. Our international Lefties, the OWS types, are all riding on that Anti-Capitalism, Revolution Express Bus . Trouble is, they all have different destinations in mind. And even worse, they all have the morals of an Alinsky disciple whose only code is the Rule of Radicals whose goal is taking power from those who have power and giving it to those who don’t . Trouble with that goal : many of those who now don’t have power , are uneducated, intolerant , angry savages who should NOT have power.

      Yes. So at what level do non-Islamic concerns respond to encroachments into their borders and societies? No different rules for differnt peoples. If you wanna live subject to a medieval set of rules, then stay where such repression is imposed and generally accepted. These ‘noble savages’ should not be allowed to bring such “principles” to other non-Islamic countries. That is just as insulting and invasive. The should be no apologizing or enabling of such ham-fisted disregard for the values of host countries. NO DIFFERENT RULES FOR DIFFERENT PEOPLES.

    Excellent distraction from Iran’s nuclear activities and Assad’s slaughter in Syria.

    Pull up some obscure “movie” clips from Youtube, fire up the religious perverts to organize violent demonstrations, set the ME and Africa on fire, kill some Americans in revenge, distract the press and throw western governments off balance. Scare them to death so they abandon their right to freedom of expression. Confuse the Americans so that they apologize and make the most stupid statements to explain away the phenomenon – like “this is not an attack against Americans”. This is the best US administration to confuse because they are so WEAK and their minds are in perpetual confusion anyway, so it is quite easy to further confuse them. Keep their heads spinning.

    The ones who are benefiting from this are the mullahs in Iran and Assad. This sure is a great way to paralyze the US and Israel, not that it takes much to paralyze the US these days.

      what makes you think the slaughter in Syria is the government killing the people? Most of the murdered people are killed by the “Rebels” aka Al Qaeda supported by the US. They show the bodies and say look what Assad did and nobody can or wants to verify who did the killing, because it supports Obama’s agenda

      Actually lots of Americans are brave enough to go mono e mono.

      They just don;t want to do so when the government will be there to lock them up.

      But if they knew there was no government or the government would not intervene. Various people would coalesce it groups of mutual self protection & throw out the Islamicists.

      As it is the government would arrest people responding to Muslim violence 1st & only arrest a few token Muslims thus leaving the families of those protesting Islamicists exposed to Muslim violence..

      You look at the glass half empty, while I look at the glass half full. There are plenty of men and women who have stared straight into the face of radical Islam “over there”… what makes YOU think they (we) won’t do it “here” when push comes to shove. Yee of little faith.

      I’m not dumb and i’m not a republican and i do not hate my country. I have seen this country going downhill for decades. Now with Obama it’s on a speedrail downward. People say they fear the government. My family has been hear for more than 250 years. So don’t tell me i hate my country because i see it become’ing cowardly. Forgive me for getting mad at what my country has become…We all let this happen and we all need to stand up! I hear we need to find a new way to communicate in fear,we can’t stand up cause the government might get us and throw us in jail. Does this sound like americans to you?       If by American, you mean politician (R or D), I agree with your post. So the question is: Do our reps speak for us? Nope. Most are cowards. WIth the occasional theater performance of bravery from the likes of Peter King. Fear has certainly worked its magic on most Rs and Ds. I’m all for letting cooler heads prevail, but not to the point of excusing terrorism and believing zealots can be “Americanized.” Most politicians (rembember Bush?) believe we can force people to love us. I believe there’s a word for such an act.
