‘Your Values Are Killing Us!’: Gay Rights Activists Storm Values Voter Summit
Several gay rights protesters stormed the Washington, D.C. hotel hosting the Family Research Council’s annual Values Voter Summit on Saturday, shouting, “Your values are killing us!”
Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum had just concluded his speech in the ballroom when roughly six protesters unraveled a large rainbow-colored American flag outside in the lobby and began chanting. Almost immediately several security guards grabbed the protesters to drag them outside. One protester in particular resisted, causing him and some of the security guards to fall to the floor.
TheBlaze spoke with one of the activists afterward who identified himself as Charles Butler with the gay rights organization Get Equal.
“The first guy put me in a headlock and I was losing consciousness. That’s why I fell the first time,” Butler said.
Asked whether he felt Get Equal had accomplished anything, Butler said, “I think it’s too early to tell. … We’re trying to call into question the organizers of this summit’s values and how they affect LGBT people,” he said. LGBT stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender.
“A lot of people don’t know about all of the stuff [Family Research Council President] Tony Perkins says about us. Calling us pedophiles,” Butler said, referring to a 2010 interview in which Perkins called pedophilia a “homosexual problem.”

Posted on September 15, 2012 at 3:58pmThere is something very wrong to me with any people, male or female for whom their claim to fame and recognition is their sex lives. Do not some of you think this very very strange.??
I am not saying that people do not have sex or sex lives. It is just that when this seems to be your main debate point and point of demanding respect and the public purse…it does not ring correct to me.
I say this because people are more than sex and sexuality..yet here we have this one group who demand recognition based soley on their sexuality and sex lives.
I know heteros who also have this fingerprint as their sole life skill. I dont approve of neither do I respect them.
What also I find very interesting is that the so called….conservative political party does not teach this line of thought to their followers…telling me that they are pro this movement by acting as a guilty foil in this ignorance.
In otherwords …the so called conservatives do not want thier people to be able to think this through for what it is.
People are more than sex and sexuality..much much more. When you fully understand this concept…it tells you something very very important about the true nature of politics/leadership…and it’s subversion for votes and maintainance of power. And I mean both political parties…for the conservatives cannot possibly be so ignorant that this aspect of thinking never occurred to them.
People are so much more than sex and sexuality. Don’t let any of them

All they seem to talk about is how oppressed they are because of their sex life, how much we don’t understand their sex life, etc. etc.
Personally, i could really care less what they decide to do in their lives, but they do not receive the approval from me that they so covet. I will also not let them denigrate the things which I hold sacred in my life, simply because they want to feel just like the rest of us. I thought that being unique was something people strove for in life?

Just stop the emotions and Jerry Springer stuff…step back and watch wildlife in it’s natural habitat.
I dont have alot of use for two legged wildlife.

The one I dont quite understand is that minors cannot attend certain movies by ratings without adult supervision. Yet they are teaching and preaching rampant runaway sexuality from the school system and changing what is acceptable and not acceptable and moving the line as needed by politics. I find this very strange conduct from Govermnent running the movie ratings system as well as public education. Quite a contrast or double talk/speak to me.
And I think their goal is exactly that …to get people so dumbed down that they are totally unawares that you dont define yourself by your sexuality. A world turned upside down.

Conservatives believe in the power of the individual.
All of this lumping people into a certain set of characteristics because they are in a group that has some common values is a very narrow viewpoint and is not reality for any group of people.
Conservatives stand for limited government and fiscal responsibility so that people can determine their own path in life.
Other than that every person is a unique individual with varying opinions of different subjects. I do not believe that every conservative has the same views on social issues so stop pigeonholing.
To assume that any group of people has the exact same views on every subject is ridiculous.

I have a theory that the militant homosexual activists on a conscience level or even sub conscience level are not truly happy with who they are and feel on some perverted level they must make others bow to their ideals or make life miserable for as many others as they themselves often feel.
I personally do not make my sexuality any part of my outward personality and feel the need to either engage in conversation at work or any other time about it. I certainly do not wear my sexuality on my sleeve as these people in the video seem to do.
“Your values are killing us?” Really? this the the latest phrase of the day? They simply cannot stand others who disagree with their point of view or lifestyle. “Accept our way or the highway.” That actually seems to be their mindset. Where is the tolerance for a differing viewpoint? Oh yea tolerance only counts if you agree with them.

They will begin aborting those babies too. Just like they now are trying to pick the sex of the baby and abort a girl if they really want a boy. It is just a matter of time before they will make the claim that they don’t choose to have a child that might be gay. Can you people not see that a baby is a baby! Not some glob of cells that can be murdered just because a person deems that child not worthy of life?

This is the major problem. When GBLT folks demostrate for equal rights all you can think of is what they do in the bedroom. This disgusts you because you are not GBLT. If you demonstrate for equal rights (whatever the cause) what you do in the bedroom does not pop into people’s minds.

But in the New Testament Christ is clear that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. We are not to judge lest we be judged. Jesus broke bread with tax collectors and sinners. Who are we to judge these folks? “He who is without sin, cast the first stone”. Only Christ was without sin. They are children of God too.

As far as the marriage issue goes, the church defined marriage. If you want to have a legally binding civil union service, go right ahead, but to call your union a marriage is outrageous.
Conservatives are blamed for racism, but yet Christians have always been at the forefront fighting for civil rights.
Conservatives are blamed for homophobia, but yet Christians don’t interfere with those who choose to live the lifestyle.
Conservatives are blamed for being greedy, yet we are the most charitable people in America.
We believe in a free nation, a free economy and your free will. But no matter what laws the government passes you will never make me accept homosexuality as normal. It is as deviant as a pedophile and your biggest supporters are attaching their sick deviance to your cause.

There is no getting away from the sexual aspect of both. When you can get beyond that fact then we can move on. But since you can’t relate nothing with change. But who you sleep with is not the entire meaning either. Homosexuals have the right to love someone of the same sex. Some people just haven’t put themselves into this senerio. Think about this, It is the norm that everyone is Homosexual and you aren’t that way. Society is telling you that Homosexuality is right and Heterosexuality is wrong. How would that make you feel? You fell in love and were attracted to someone of the opposite sex and society is telling you that this is wrong. On another note, I don’t feel that same sex marriage should be a key note topic this election year. We need to be concerned with the economy and jobs and our freedoms. We all need to see this and unite and stop fighting with each other. I have been shunned by the gay community for feeling this way and they don’t seem to understand what is at stake here. If I wanted to get my point across I never would have done it in this fashion. It is total disrespect and only makes the entire community look like fools. We are not all that way and please do not group every gay man or woman into this category.

Some liberals don’t appear to value marriage therefore cannot comprehend why most conservatives, and even many liberals, resist gay marriage. Marriage is about family to us, not sex, but all you hear from liberals is sex, sex, sex. In marriage, our contract with God, we devote our lives to family. The gay marriage concept erodes marriage’s definition into little more than sex partners. To real conservatives, marriage is a far more important concept and we will not erode it.

This has always been something that has amazed me that anyone can sum up their lives by one subject. I have many gay friends who have whole and entire lives and the sex part as simply a part of that life. But for anyone to make that one aspect of their life the sole theme seems to me to revield a damaged personality. Move on, love the one or more that you love but where does the need to make it a headline some from? I think it comes form an empty warehouse with no other inventory.

The church can define whatever it wants. The US laws on marriage are not based on church laws. Heck, some Christian churches DO marry gays. Are you saying you suddenly support gay marriage? Current US federal law is clear: marriage is between a man and a woman.
As for the civil union portion, that’s completely bogus and you know it. The Republican platform is clear: civil unions are not to be included. Including civil unions in the marriage plank was resoundingly shouted down during the convention. You may personally think that way, but the Republican party does not.

After all, marriage was instituted by God as a union between a man and a woman, because 1, it is not good that man should be alone, and two, the union is designed to create a family, and third, the union of a man and a woman is ordained by God in order that they would commit to one another and not sin. Since the very essence of homosexuality is a sin in God’s eyes, what is the point? Just trying to make aberrant sexual behavior main stream? Why, I thought they liked being different.

That’s why the gay community strives so hard to normalize homosexuality. Removing it from the list of sexual disorders was the greatest boon to their cause. If it’s not a disorder, it doesn’t need to be treated. Thus, it must be accepted as normal.

There is much psychology behind this. I work with lots of “gay” groups. I remember the comment of one gay guy, telling me about a gay couple friends of his…who had been together for quite awhile. And when I asked, are they monogamous, he replied,”Oh, no!” As if, how could I think that.

Smoking is vehemently opposed and promoted as a health hazard in schools. Yet, the same people opposing smoking are promoting the gay lifestyle. On health issues alone, the gay lifestyle should be put ahead of smoking as a health hazard.
And the monogamy myth is too funny. Studies have shown 65% of gays have extra relationship if the couple is together for a year and 90% if they’re together 5 years or more. Plainly put: they cannot keep it their pants.

In my very early days of LE, the stats were the other way around. Have also read where so many psychologists, and psychiatrists have been monkeying with the stats by calling some of the man on boy molestation as heterosexual. To me, at best it might fall into the Bisexual category, but not heterosexual.

That being said, being homosexual doesn’t automatically make anyone a paedophile, it just means they are MORE LIKELY to be one.

I haven’t seen any evidence that we possess the kind of free will you are talking about. However, I have seen much evidence that we act as our brains are wired and our environment influences us. For example, brain injuries can often lead to changes in personality, reduced self control, increased agression, and so on. Neuroscientists can predict with some accuracy what we are going to do before we are consciously aware of it.
I’m not wishing free will away. I’m saying we don’t have it in the libertarian sense that we can act against causation.

Healthy people make decisions almost every minute of their lives. Yes, those decisions are influenced by what we have been taught and experience. But, we have a conscience and if it is well formed in morals, or believing in a higher being, then we are free to choose between right and wrong. Temptation can be very strong, we need to be strong in our beliefs or our moral code. If you are a Christian, then grace comes into play. Do we always make right decisions? No, but that is where forgiveness comes in and the ability to begin again.

I would not want to live in a world where we had completely beaten diseases, because if a new one came along that was unlike anything we had previously defeated and we were not prepared for, that new vector could decimate humanity like the Plague because our defense mechanisms were not strong from having beaten other diseases in the past. Also, like it or not. diseases help keep populations in check. Without disease, the human population would grow even faster than it already does and overpopulation which is a problem would be much worse. Every century of human history has seen plagues or pandemics, they help keep populations down.

I know you are a troll but, I’m going to respond just to help you understand a few things.
1- AIDS and HIV have been able to be cured since the mid 80′s. I have the equipment to do it and it takes about 30 days. Dr. Kaali found the cure about 1982 and I think it was the March addition of Science News that published it. (last page)
2- I have offered to cure gay guys with AIDS or HIV and they refuse it. Why? They get a free cocktail that keeps it in check and SSDI. They don’t want to lose that SSDI. And yes, these ARE friends of mine.
3- The problem with curing AIDS or HIV is the continued lifestyle were reinfection occurs. So why bother even trying with gay people? (men)
4- Dr. Beck went a lot further and published papers on how to make the 3 needed devices yourself if you have a little electronics background. He’s the inventor of the first electronic flash device for cameras.

As long as people insist on engaging in unnatural sex acts, they have to count on more diseases developing. Homosexual sex acts are unnatural because the defense mechanisms that are present in women to prevent infection with “natural” sex are missing when one confuses the proper function of a waste disposal unit.
BTW, disease will not be overcome in your lifetime. In the 1940′s when penicillin was first available, it would kill almost any germ or infection. Today there are strains of bugs that are not only resistant to penicillin, but to almost every known antibiotic.
