Famous Gay Actor: ‘I Can’t Think of Anything Worse Than Being Brought Up by Two Gay Dads’
Well-known actor Rupert Everett has caused quite a stir in the LGBT community for saying he “can’t think of anything worse than being brought up by two gay dads.”
The actor, who is gay, played a major role in the 90′s hits “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and “Shakespeare in Love.”
The Telegraph has background:
The 53-year-old told the Sunday Times Magazine that his mother Sara had met his boyfriend but “still wishes I had a wife and kids.”
“She thinks children need a father and a mother and I agree with her,” he said. “I can’t think of anything worse than being brought up by two gay dads.
“Some people might not agree with that. Fine! That’s just my opinion.”
Ben Summerskill, the chief executive of a gay rights group, reportedly responded: “Rupert should get out a little bit more to see the facts for himself.”
He continued: “There is absolutely no evidence that the kids of gay parents suffer in the way they are being brought up or in how they develop.”
Apparently this isn’t the first time Everett has made a controversial statement on gay parenting. According to the Huffington Post, Everett said in 2009 that the idea of two men having a baby is “egocentric and vain.”
“I think this surrogacy thing is crap. It is utterly hideous. I think it’s egocentric and vain. And these endless IVF treatments people go through. I mean, if you are meant to have babies then great. But this whole idea of two gay guys filling a cocktail shaker with their sperm and impregnating some grim lesbian and then it gets cut out is just really weird,” he allegedly remarked.
After his most recent statement, Everett made it clear that he is not speaking “on behalf of the gay community.”
“In fact,” he said, “I don’t feel like I’m part of any ‘community’.”

Anyway, now Rupert is going to be the ‘Uncle Rupert” of the LBGT movement just as the Blacks that don’t tow the Democrat/African American line are ‘Uncle Tom’s’.
I guess if you don’t tow their line, your opinion doesn’t matter and is actually disrespected. For God’s sake, he lived in that world. He’s a living/breathing example of experience. His opinion should be respected and considered (In reality, he’s probably changed many lives because of his honesty and personal integrity).
I gotta say, tolerance is a one-way-street with many in the Gay and Black Community. It’s really sad…how can anyone actually have respect for that kind of one-sided behavior?
Can’t Everet Rupert’s opinion at least be respected? Must he be ousted for having a differing opinion?

I’m not saying they can’t be love and nurtures by gay couples I’m saying it’s not normal and that the best chance a child has is in a traditional family atmosphere . Those were my first thoughts. He’s in the same position as a Black conservative.
I could care less what consenting adults do in private, but am disgusted by those in-your-face gays for whom their sexual preferences define their entire being — the type one sees making fools of themselves at gay pride parades and demonstrations. This guy is apparently not flamboyant enough for the “flaming f_gs.”

A lesbian told one of my friends that it is the greatest sin to overcome..but with the help of the Holy Spirit..it can be overcome..One must be willing to turn one’s life over to Christ and let Him do the work in them..For this life is incredibly short..and after this..eternity.. For the workers of iniquity will have their reward here..but not in the after.. there will be weeping and nashing of teeth..and their worm will never die..

Wowee!! Rupert, prepare for the HATE from the angry fringe gay element in this country who want to normalize gay parenting and adoption. It’s NOT NORMAL and in the long run deprives kids of either a mother or father. It screws them up. I don’t give a damn what the psycho babble studies and grown kids from gay unions say. Something is missing and that missing element is a Mom or Dad. Thanks for speaking your mind Rupert and DO NOT APOLOGIZE for it.

We shall sodomize your sons, emblems of your feeble masculinity, of your shallow dreams and vulgar lies. We shall seduce them in your schools, in your dormitories, in your gymnasiums, in your locker rooms, in your sports arenas, in your seminaries, in your youth groups, in your movie theater bathrooms, in your army bunkhouses, in your truck stops, in your all male clubs, in your houses of Congress, wherever men are with men together. Your sons shall become our minions and do our bidding. They will be recast in our image. They will come to crave and adore us.
Women, you cry for freedom. You say you are no longer satisfied with men; they make you unhappy. We, connoisseurs of the masculine face, the masculine physique, shall take your men from you then. We will amuse them; we will instruct them; we will embrace them when they weep. Women, you say you wish to live with each other instead of with men. Then go and be with each other. We shall give your men pleasures they have never known because we are foremost men too, and only one man knows how to truly please another man; only one man can understand the depth and feeling, the mind and body of another man. All laws banning homosexual activity will be revoked. Instead, legislation shall be passed which engenders love between men.

I am sure there are men who simply love other men, however, the militant side of the movement has shown to be very aggressive and cunning in luring the young men into their clutches. Hey, Michael Swift wrote it, you should search him out and inquire as to his motive in putting those words to paper. Secondly, everything written within the above has been accomplished over the past 25 years, that in and of itself expresses their ideology better than any thoughts we can write about here on a blog.

Posted on September 17, 2012 at 6:41amThere is nothing “legit” about same sex marriage. The dynamics between a husband and wife (aka, Mom and Dad), are a very large part of growing up. Who is the sane one when both moms are having a menopausal moment? We really do sync our periods. How does the gang up of PMS work? If it weren’t for my husband, my children would not have survived PMS. Simple as that.

Posted on September 16, 2012 at 10:49pmOh the tolerant left didn’t take long to show their tolerance. I couldn’t imagine being a kid with two gay dads, knowing how cruel kids can be. No matter how many times it is shoved down the throats of kids in school, they always find out who is different, how they are different, and they zero in on it for ridicule.
LGBT or whatever just show their ignorance when they ignore this aspect of childhood. I don’t care if the kids show higher test scores or graduation rates, it has to be rough if their situation is found out and the fear of it being exposed has to be harsh.
I am sure this is what he is referring to, but it will be lost in noise of the screaming left wing banshies who will inevitable shrill their loudest intolerant rants as they do whenever anyone has different views or steps off their predesignated plantation.

Posted on September 17, 2012 at 12:49amLet hypothesize this: If being “Gay” is caused by a “Gay Gene” that as Lady ga ga states “You were born this way” Then why would nature create a group of people who, by their very nature cannot reproduce? Science and artificial insemonation aside (since that has only existed for 50 years and you can’t expect evolution, which takes 10′s of thousands of years for minor biological changes) to sudden made a group of people conform to a behavior that by its very nature would end that “gene pool” since they can’t reproduce. So by being gay not by choice, but by nature, that means nature is trying to extermination these people, do they have a flaw in their genetic blueprint and nature is trying to stop this flaw from spreading so nature made them gay so they can’t reproduce at that gene pool will dry up and die? Something to ponder and discuss the next time someone says being gay is not by choice, they are born that way…

Posted on September 17, 2012 at 9:33amIt is generally better for a blood relation to raise a kid just as it is generally better to have kids in the sweet spot of reproduction cycle just as it is generally better to have kids the normal way & not go though “Heroic” efforts, when the normal way is better & less expensive.

Posted on September 16, 2012 at 10:20pmI like this man for his honesty. I pray he gets saved and becomes a part of Christ’s community. He will need to repent from that lifestyle and ask Christ into his heart. I do pray for him.

Posted on September 17, 2012 at 12:51pmI agree Bravo. A child should be raised with a mother and father who for the most part teaches their child to love, respect their parents and maybe how to fish and have a good time without violence and not hate. Each parents teaches their children things that even teachers should not get involved with. God Bless America.
