Tonight on Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor,” host Bill O’Reilly announced he will participate in a debate against Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart.
The debate is scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., at George Washington University on Oct. 6.
O’Reilly said the debate will center three issues: the national debt, American relations in Muslim countries and gas prices. It will stream online.
The debate will be called “The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium.” It will be formatted like a presidential debate, O’Reilly said, “without all the phoniness and pomposity.” There will be a Q&A with the live audience and those streaming it can submit their own questions as well.
Tickets for the live stream are available for pre-order at TheRumble2012.com for $4.95. O’Reilly said fifty-percent of the profits, “if there are any,” will go to “a bunch of very worthy charities.”
The New York Post‘s Cindy Adams wrote today that CNN anchor E.D. Hill will moderate.
O’Reilly and Stewart occasionally venture onto each others’ home turf. The last time the two met was in September last year, when O’Reilly appeared on Stewart’s comedy program “The Daily Show“ to promote his book “Killing Lincoln.”
Watch O’Reilly’s Talking Points Memo in which he announces the debate over on the Blaze Blog.
Below is the promo video for the debate:

Sep. 18, 2012 at 1:40pmO’Reilly is hardly a person that defends conservatives and even if he would, Jon Stewart is a comedian. All he has to do is avoid answering the questions and say something witty to make his fans laugh and just like that, makes Bill look silly. If you’re a liberal, you’ll enjoy this. If you’re conservative, you’ll have a heartattack watching this. I pass.

Sep. 18, 2012 at 11:55amThis is the one thing that always confuses me to no end about people who watch Glenn Beck. Do they ever ask themselves why Glenn NEVER participates in debate with people who don’t agree with his stances. And if so it is incredibly and completely rare.
Glenn, sometimes gets things right. But, the whole Occupy Wall Street narrative and his understanding of the domestic left is so off it is laughable. He would never have someone with this knowledge on his show because he would be confronted with actual facts. When he finds out that Soros actually doesn’t fund anything left of status quo organizations in any sort of large capacity he probably wouldn’t know what to do with his life. And his viewers would just be confused. Or with their hands over their ears yelling LALALALA

Yes, Jon Stewart would take it seriously and wipe the floor with him. Have you ever heard Beck respond to a challenge? All he can do is make personal attacks before he blows a fuse.
Jon Stewart actually deals in facts while Glenn simply deals in fear, conspiracy theories, and no facts.

Sep. 18, 2012 at 5:15amIf you think, as I do, that all of television is a “show”, then you aren’t offended. In the 1930′s in the Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland movies, they were always getting together a “show” to entertain people. No different now in TV; it’s all a “show” and not much else. Even Glenn Beck is putting on a “show” for people, as much as I believe in the guy’s sincerity and goodness. It’s all a show, folks. And by the way, Glenn is right-America is being set up in the middle east, poked at, prodded and needs to be extremely careful. The secret is – we don’t have to do a thing other than bring our troops home, send no money to any country, and hunker down for a good pray.

Sep. 18, 2012 at 8:50amI think ALL the churches in America should get together and pick a Sunday or Saturday and hold there services outside with loudspeakers. In the streets, if permitted or in their parking lots. Have everyone SHOUTING and petitioning God and make a new covenant with God that we will restore our Nation if He will intervene and soften the hard-hearted among us and serve Him and each other once more. We need to STOP this evil Federal government from installing itself as a “god” over us or our Nation will become fascist overnight soon and we will be gulag bound. Prayer and Real change is in order for each individual to re-secure our God Given Rights.

Sep. 18, 2012 at 2:23am…talk about late breaking. and I was looking to follow-up on two or three other ‘regulars’ comments. They have all gone to bed… as impatient as I am, will I do as I should, or just ahead and blunder all over myself? I want to say something about metal detectors at the doors, but as a few others have stated and chosen to “see it this way”, some of this is for charity. I’m suspicious of alot of charities and non profit organazations. The ones where you get some free tote or shirt etc can really not be all what they are supposed to be. Really they are selling someone elses business products, collecting the cash, spliting the money, and a whole lot less [money] than we think really gets to the true cause than would had we not recieved a free tote, t-shirt, hat etc… [I like like the stuff too but... really, how much??? (they paid for that) ... REALLY, THAT MUCH??]
Forgive me if I sound as though I do not believe in charity. I do most definitely, and I give more. Period. But 50% goes to charity, I am sure that is after “costs” of the event… Are there volunteers here? My local Fire Dept has an event, all the help is volunteer, and their is alot of help! And an ‘event’ means hosting headline music artist, not small time at all. Now how much does it cost to book the auditorium? Parking?
Ours is done in a field, if it rains you break out some plastic and rough it, they even let you bring in raincoats and umbrellas!
Parking is alongside the road, or you can pay to

Watch Bill O’Reilly as our after work ambassador reaching out those who think they know everything and hate him.

Sometimes people think they have their facts and theories right, but an honest person will keep an open mind and have their facts and opinions checked. How do they do that? (question1). One way is to have a dialog with others who have the opposite opinions from you. Don’t you want to hear other opinions? (question2) or you just happy to hear your own voice echoing in your “panic room”? (question 3). Wouldn’t world became a boring place to have just your opinions and other sheeply nodding in agreement? (question 4). Don’t ya think? (question5)
