S.E. Cupp to Conservatives: ‘Chill Out’ — Romney Loss Does Not Equal End of GOP

S.E. Cupp to Conservatives: Chill Out Romney Loss Does Not Equal End of GOP

S.E. Cupp (file)

While some conservatives fear another term from President Barack Obama would spell disaster for the United States of America and the Republican Party, TheBlazeTV’s S.E. Cupp advised conservatives on Monday to “calm down” and understand that the GOP is not doomed if presidential nominee Mitt Romney loses the election.

During MSNBC’s “The Cycle” on Monday, Cupp reacted to a widely circulated Politico report that argues the Romney campaign is struggling with infighting and is accused running a “campaign of caution, one that puts all the emphasis not on how good Romney could be but how bad Obama is.”

“First, kudos to Politico,” Cupp said. “This campaign has been notoriously hard to access if you are a journalist not named Fox News.”

“I have a message for my conservative colleagues who seem to be engaging in this circular firing squad: Calm down. Let’s chill out a little bit,” she added. “This is not the end of the party as we know it. We will not be shutting down the party if Romney does not win.”

She went on to say that “a couple bad weeks” on the campaign trail does not speak to the kind of  “leadership” failures that have damaged President Obama’s reputation, saying Obama’s nearly four-year presidency shouldn’t be compared to a Romney campaign cycle.

Co-host Steve Kornacki chimed in, saying Republicans will refuse to look in the mirror and change their ways if Obama is victorious in November.

“If you can think back to the last incumbent democrat to seek re-election, that was Bill Clinton in 1996, and the Republican opposition to Bill Clinton in his first term as president was as heated, as intense and as unyielding as the Republican opposition to Barack Obama has been.”

The difference, he said, was that after the GOP lost to Clinton, they “changed” their strategy, something he doesn’t think will happen this time around.

The GOP does not DESERVE to continue if Obama is reelected. Our Republic will not withstand four more years. Our only hope even with a GOP win in the White House is to get a truly conservative senate and for the People to watch their every move.

“IF” Romney loses the election, the GOP won’t matter if we also lose the house and make no gains in the senate.

Whatever else happens in a 2nd Obama term, impeachment proceedings need to go ahead on him and Holder needs to be tried for being an accessory to murder and aiding & abetting drug cartels.

What else? Well, I’d suggest we all move to Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Utah & Oklahoma. This would give us a nice area to defend when the country collapses and civil war breaks out. What leaders and laws they have right now, that we don’t like, we can vote out and change before the SHTF…I hope.

I think Romney is being declared a loser all of a sudden to try to scare the people who are about to jump off the GOP band wagon into voting for him….Our politics and media are soo corrupt i always look for alternative messages. They never say what they really mean, always some plot behind it.

They have brought this image onto their selves…It is no ones fault but their own…

To make change you have to actually start somewhere, and no better election than this one where the country has been on alert for government mishaps and people were awakened. Romney win puts everyone back to sleep. Vote Gary Johnson!!!

With as many RINOS as the GOP, I do not care so much. I care about Ideals not temporary grouping of people.

We have had elections stolen from us. Al Franken won over Colemen by less than 400 votes. Around 1,100 convicted felons voted 1/3 rd of them have been convicted of illegally voting while behind bars.

It swung the Senate over the Democrats & Harry Reid.is the leader. Any Bill that the Republicans pass Reid will kill. It matters.

Vote Fraud goes way back the Democrat Party. LBJ was committing vote fraud in the 1930s.

The GOP doesn’t seem tough enough to stand up to Dems. If they can’t, who needs them.

Miss Cupp….the GOP is a machine and I could care less if it fell apart. Same is true for the Democratic party. Americans will not “chill out” when their freedoms are being taken away from them nor should they chill out. In fact, they should be frieking out. We have gotten to the point where government can prohibit you from digging on the beach, having bible studies in your home, jailing citizens “suspected” of terrorism for an indefinite amount of time, judicial bodies overturning the will of the majority in many U.S. cities, and you have words of advice like “chill out”. This is about freedom. It is about liberty. It is about justice. Those three words affect all people of all parties and all religions. They involve all Americans and are worthy of a massive friek out when in jeopardy. And believe me…..they are in jeopardy….for all Americans…..even the ones with ideas I despise.

If Obama wins it’s not the end of the GOP, but it is the end of our country. It will prove that the US has moved to communism as the new norm. And it doesn’t hurt when the Dems (commies) make laws prohibiting any (illegal alien) from having to show an ID to vote. It’s the end of the US as we know it.

The Republican establishment stands between us and re-establishing a Constitutional Republic. … I think the coverage of this convention as I saw it today is both sophomoric and superficial. I think the references to the conservative TEA-party uprising there, of the rules of the Republican establishment, has been awful. It’s been written off as some kind of a Ron Paul kook-event, but it wasn’t, and it isn’t. … The Republican National Committee is an establishment bureaucracy. Your beguiling charms don’t work on me Ms. Cupp. Yes you’re beautiful, but it must end there. I’m beholden to no party because the Constitution is a writ of laws, not men or parties.
If this country elects Obama again it is lost, period. It will prove the point that there are more takers than producers. That we are nothing but a society of personalities, and no substance. The country has been compromised by socialists, just as we were warned during Viet Nam.
4 more years of Obama Economics and we will be Europe, a semblance of a once great country who does nothing but pander to specific groups, classes, races, and genders based on what the “GET”.
Say goodbye to the constitution because Obama will do as he pleases, and the sycophants will go along drinking their Kool-aid all the way.
Obama is the worst president we’ve ever seen. He’s not incompetent, he’s set to destroy our way of life. This is fact.

S.E Cupp is, I fear, not seeing things correctly.
I believe that Romney will lose, and I also believe that no Republican will ever be elected again.
The reason for that is simple math, to wit, 90 percent of Republican votes come from white people. In 1960 white people were 90 percent of the population of the United States. Today the white population is just under 64 percent, and when you consider that 90 plus percent of Blacks, 70 percent of Hispanics and 60 percent of Asians vote Democrat, Romney or any other Republican needs about 60 percent of the white vote, doable, but unlikely.
Young, single white women between the age of 18 and 30 tend to vote Democrat. White gays, mainly because they want to get married, vote Democrat as do 75 percent of Jews and most union members—at least until they can retire and move to a red state with no income tax and become Republicans. All of this makes it hard for any Republican to garner 60 percent of the white vote.
If Obama is reelected, I believe that by 2016 it will be impossible for a Republican to be elected president, because Obama will do all that he can to encourage even more mass immigration, which will likely place—at long last– Texas and Florida firmly in the Democrat column.
The GOP has destroyed itself by encouraging mass third world immigration over the past 40 years, despite the fact that simple math would indicate that said immigration would not redound to their long term electoral benefit.
      So yes, the GOP s

Five trillion more in debt, over 8% unemployment for years now, no budget going on 4 years.

But I would choose a good moral, God fearing man over a Marxist any day. If the GOP fails, then it is time for the TEA PARTY to come to the front. Our country is in some sort of civil unrest. More like a Cold War of ideologies. If the left is not defeated no telling what will happen as people demand their freedoms and liberties. But likewise, I have no choice but to state it that the forces of bad won’t give up and so if Romney wins plan of these goofs on the radical left to incite violence or plan ways to fight Romney. So something has to give. The Line is in The Sand.

But that is not all. You have to understand that we have radical Islamic groups out there infiltrating the country. So that is yet another issue to deal with.

But if the GOP loses the most likely result is many will push for creating a new conservative party.

WALKABOUT, I had no idea. I have lived practically next door to Communism on two tours in Europe. One tour I was literally next door to Czechoslovakia, then moved north later where I was closer to the DDR. Have been near, on, and across both borders. On a couple of occasions you couldn’t have driven the sharpest needle up my rectum with a sledge hammer. Met plenty of the Cubans early in the Mariel Boat Lift too, but later half of that stay in Miami I was on the Krome Ave site that took in the Haitians.
I hope you will not have to live under that repression again.

If Barack Hussein Obama wins, America is over. There WILL be civil war, because principled patriots won’t just sit and watch as Obama death squads begin to commit genocide against conservatives. And there’s no question that the Barack Hussein Obama Regime will follow the example of their fellow traveler, Mao Zedong, because they have proven, with their actions, that is precisely where they’re headed.

S.E. Cupp is NOT a conservative; she’s an atheist ‘Progressive’ who poses as a conservative. She’s Glenn Beck’s worst hiring decision of which I’m aware. Everybody else on Glenn Beck’s team seems to know what they’re talking about.

The more I hear S.E. Cupp, the more she exposes herself as a ‘Progressive’ blowhard. She reminds me of Newton Leroy ‘Newt’ Gingrich, but without the history expertise, the philandering, the media exposure, or the multiple ex-wives.

If S.E. Cupp were on a ballot in a primary election, chances are I’d be supporting her opponent. She’s unfit to represent the American right on a national scale, which is why MSNBC hired her.

A loss in this election would not be the end of the GOP, it will take a win to destroy the GOP.

Should Romney get elected, it will only be because those who knew better abandoned their principles for the sake of removing Obama.

Romney is a one issue candidate. The issue: Romney is not Obama.

…there are about 5 billion other people about which you can say the same thing; not much of a recommendation.

It took a president as abhorrent as Obama to get anyone who is even mildly conservative to consider voting for Romney.

It takes a candidate as vile as Romney to insure that Obama has any chance at all of winning this election.

Conservatives do not have a candidate running in this election.

Obama wants to destroy this nation; maybe getting Romney into office is how he plans to do it.

@WANGO: Thanks for compliment but I could never be a Liberal at my age (I’m over 25) because I’ve learned:
      1) GOD expects us to turn to Him to overcome obstacles – therefore there must be obstacles to overcome. That’s how we build Character – the ability to solve problems. GOD is the Great Creator. Creativity is all about SOLVING PROBLEMS.

      {done the Liberal way, everything made hunky dorie for everyone/all the time, there would be “no problems” and we’d all have -0- character, we’d never know how to solve problems}

Solving problems, encountering obstacles and solving them, CHOOSING to HELP OTHERS vs. being TOLD to do so; FREEDOM to excel ; FREEDOM to say, do, be whatever I want to be. NONE of those things exist in the LIBERAL WORLD. I first noticed that in High School! While we all thought we were being so ‘rebellious’ in our dressing style (we were from our parents) but WE WERE ALL ALIKE!! I still remember that revelation and how funny I thought it was at the time – still do.

FREEDOM is something that I’m sure too many people don’t value. FREEDOM is everything. FREEDOM allows you to dream; work on that dream; learn; be creative.

The best things I believe we can do for each other is LEAVE EACH OTHER ALONE. NOT try to close doors (like that sawed-off little self-centered dope Bloomberg) but picture ourselves and every other Human Being alive as being on different Mountain paths…all heading towards Heaven. Don’

CONTINUED @ WANGO: Stay off of my path unless you are there to help and I’ll stay off of yours.
Life is so short. By the time we’re up and walking, thinking and talking we’ve blown about 1/5 of it. Then it takes another 5th to acquire the funds/skills to do the “dream”(s) then 1/5th enjoying it and fighting the fight, 1/5 trying to save it –then 1/5 trying to pass it forward… BUT!! ALL THE WHILE GREAT LESSONS LEARNED. God doesn’t care if we are ‘successful’ by earthly terms or not. HE DOES care if we’ve learned to tell the truth, do what we say we’re going to do and when and have grown out of the “my worth comes from external directions” (what other people say, what stuff I’ve acquired, how I look etc) . Liberals are stuck in the HIGHSCHOOL rebellion phase. They think they are soooooo different, but THEY are all alike. God forbid that someone has another way of doing things. So, no thanks. FREEDOM is way too important to me than to be trapped by people who claim to be “individuals” but are ALL alike (Code Pink Broads for example); People who don’t require individual effort from themselves. Depending upon GOV. is a satanic trap. IT robs us of all our real FAITH; it builds nothing but fat. My way might be the more difficult way, but I have a joy that never ceases and no matter what God has allowed to confront me, I know I can turn to HIM and then rely on the muscles he’s allowed me to build to get through it/over it !!! If you cannot win against the clown in this White House with this foreign policy record, and this economy you might as well face the fact that you are utterly incompetent.

The GOP does not represent conservatives who want a Constitutional government as the framers intended. Both parties want socialism. Both parties are elitists. Really, S.E.??? Chill out? MSNBC has you now, it’s obvious. You have apparently chilled out; and good for you. Nice cushy gig at the enemy’s H.Q. Oh well, real conservatives won’t listen to your babbling anyway. Enjoy your chill. Oh, and by the way; I’m not FOX NEWS but I’ve enjoyed a very good relationship with the Romney campaign on my radio show. They have been extraordinary in setting me up with chats with Sununu, Gov. Walker, Rep. Chaffetz, Ryan Williams, etc.

Oh, and Romney will win; we can chill then. But only for a short time. Then, it’s back to work with no pauses, stops, or lengthy vacations by our new prez. Chill out….Very disappointing to hear you talk that way, Ms. Cupp.

Last time I chatted with Cupp on my show; she was far from her present stance. Real conservatives don’t talk the way she did in this segment. But, she is an atheist which means she is blown easily to false doctrines. Not saying politics equals spirituality; but if one is grounded in the Word, your worldview is fairly secure as well.

TRON’S right! Don’ t tell me to chill out SE! And ALLLOST is also correct! If Romney does happen to lose the election, a wholesale flushing of the establishment republican toilet will be the next step! Should be even with a win! And you can start with A for Arizona and get rid of that turdball McCain. Ronald Reagan won in a landslide by moving to the far right, conservative side of the fight, and while everyone likes to suck up to Reagan’s memory, none of them have figured out how to win like he did. Quit sucking up to the closet liberals you like to call independents!!!!!!

TRON, you are spot on. At my age I have never been swayed the way others have by Cupp’s looks, but have admired what she has said in the past. But, I think that she is being swayed now. I’ll take her with a grain of salt in the future until she proves one way or the other again.

      Hi TRONINTHEMORNING and RJJ too,

I’ve been watching what she’s been doing on MSNBC and my take is that Glenn put her there to upset things. Having a GB employee say that, “I have a message for my conservative colleagues who seem to be engaging in this circular firing squad: Calm down. Let’s chill out a little bit,” she added. “This is not the end of the party as we know it. We will not be shutting down the party if Romney does not win.” only means that she is trying to calm down Dems so they think they are winning and won’t try so hard.

No self respecting Republican watches MSNBC except a few of us here who enjoy the laughs or report the really good stuff to The Blaze to post. She’s a paid GB troll who is there to infiltrate and conquer, fighting fire with fire. And the MSN crowd is eating it up. LOL

Hey Tron, Colorado only has 9 electoral votes. Nobody cares what you think and Obama will probably carry Colorado also. The GOP selected one of the worst possible candidates. He is the guy that LOST to John McCain 4 years ago. Obama will pull a Ted Kennedy act on him and it’s over.

Hi MONK, have watched her a few times too. For the most part I do agree with her, but I get annoyed when Tourrettes pipes in. That is when I need a bucket full of dark red large sponges so that it will at least feel like I am throwing a brick through the screen.
Will try to remain calm though.

When I hear stuff like this coming from the likes of her we need not wonder why America is the mess that it is in. Wake up S.E.! I thought she was a pretty sharp gal but now not so much.

I’m not sure what party S.E. sees as being able to adjust. After rule 12/16 the party is assured of another RINO on the ticket if Romney loses this time. You really think that the Tea Party and Liberty movements are going to stick around for that? This vote for the RINO or you’re voting for the Democrat game will have been completely run out. What then?

Besides, there isn’t a 2016 election anyways. The constitution is on a respirator and a feeding tube at this point. Both options plan on Shaivo-ing it in the next four years. Whatever elections transpire in 2016 will likely look something like the North Korean elections.

I predict that if President Obama wins reelection, there will be four more relatively uneventful years during which nothing much will really change. There will be four more years of conservatives predicting that the country as we know it will not survive another four years of Obama, another three years of Obama, another two years of Obama, another year of Obama. There will be four more years of conservatives claiming that the Republicans lost the last election because they picked a moderate. During the last of those four years there will be a series of Presidential primaries and caucuses in which the Republicans will pick a moderate, because that’s what most republicans are – moderates. The Democrats will also pick a moderate, beginning one to four more years of conservatives claiming that a moderate Democrat is a radical socialist. Finally, despite four years of crazy predictions that there would not be a next election due to some kind of seizure of dictatorial control, there will be an election between the two moderates, the result of which will cause the radical elements of the losing side to predict that the country as we know it is doomed, and nothing much will really change.
