Free Speech That Mocks Islam Is National Security Threat for U.S., Prominent NJ Imam Tells TheBlaze

Imam Mohammad Qatanani Tells TheBlaze That Free Speech Mocking Islam Should Be Pursued by Dept. of Homeland Security

There are religions that promote turning the other cheek even when mocked, but it appears Islam is not one of them. According to one of the most prominent imams in North America, Islam never condones violence, but it also, under no uncertain terms, “ever accepts” speaking ill of the Prophet Muhammad.

In fact, so grave is mockery of the prophet considered, that the cleric – Mohammad Qatanani, who leads one of the largest mosques in New Jersey – even believes free speech that criticizes Islam poses a national security threat to the U.S. and that those responsible should be investigated by the Department of Homeland Security.

“We, as Americans, have to put limits and borders [on] freedom of speech,” Qatanani, leader of the Islamic Center of Passaic County (ICPC), told TheBlaze. He explained that while Americans may ”have the freedom to speak their mind, ultimately, they “have no right to [talk about Muslim] holy issues” as it will incite “hatred or war among people.”

Qatanani said he thinks agitators who slander Islam, or, more specifically, the Prophet Muhammad, incite violence and hence, pose a national security risk that threatens the safety of Americans at home and abroad. Thus, America should disregard its First Amendment as it is typically applied and instead act in accordance with sharia law for the ultimate “good” of society.

In an exclusive interview with TheBlaze, the cleric, who was nearly deported in 2008 for failing to disclose his former ties to the terrorist organization Hamas on a 1996 Green Card application, explained that Muslims are required by Islam to respect the law of the land in their host-countries. He followed up that statement, however, with a treatise on how those who slander the prophet be pursued legally.

While some leaders within the Muslim community have spoken out against the anti-America driven violence in the Middle East, many have qualified their condemnation with moral equivalence, treating a film dubbed “Innocence of Muslims” (which some claim served as the catalyst for the attacks), with even harsher disdain than they do murder. Qatanani said the Obama White House should take legal action against the filmmakers.

“My position is that White House has to say strong in its condemnation [of the filmmakers] and take this person to court. If he is innocent, we will accept that… The government has strong case against this person.”

When asked what can be done to prevent future attacks, Qatanani invoked Homeland Security again, suggesting that the department actually step-in to prevent artists, composers, movie-makers, or satirists (among others), from producing works critical of Islam and the Prophet Muhammad. He believes it is in America’s best interest to quell this kind of free speech as it “ruins” America’s image abroad and will ultimately hurt people.

Qatanani’s statements make it appear that, in so many words, the cleric is advocating for the U.S. to operate by sharia law – the religious law of Islam – when it comes to freedom of speech as it relates to Islam. If so, it would seem to echo comments in a previous report on TheBlaze outlining Islamists’ “10-year plan” to make slandering Islam unlawful on an international level.

American freedom versus Islamic freedom

One of the most revealing insights made by the controversial faith leader came when he juxtaposed American freedom with the type of freedom permitted under sharia law.

The imam acknowledged that observant Muslims view freedom only through the lens of that which is permitted by the Quran and Sunnah, the two sacred texts of Islam, and is therefore much different from the way Americans view freedom.

“They [Muslims] think our [American] freedoms are too much,” Qatanani said. “The freedom of the American people is so different from their [Muslims'] freedoms. We believe freedoms have limits and rules, otherwise we will get people into trouble…Freedom according to Islam must be according to the Quran and Sunnah. You can do [anything] you like within the teachings of these two resources. This is the difference and main reason [for the conflict].”

A different standard of freedom?

“People there [in the Middle East] don’t understand the American Constitution and freedom of speech,” Qatanani said. We have to understand each other because misunderstanding is a killing issue… The issue of Prophet Muhammad is very delicate – they [Muslims] will not accept in any way, anybody who talks badly about Muhammad.”

He went on to explain that not even Jesus or Moses, who Muslims also revere as heroes and prophets, would be permitted to speak ill of their ultimate Prophet Muhammad and stated emphatically, and repeatedly, during the interview that Muslims will never ”accept” or tolerate such slander even in the U.S. under the auspices of freedom of speech.

At one point Qatanani said that it is essentially fine to mock Jesus or Moses (as Americans often satire various religious figures) but that is absolutely verboten to mock Muhammad. Later, he added that Muslims would be equally upset if anyone were to slander Christian or Jewish figureheads.

On the embassy attacks

At the end of the day Qatanani was consistent in his call for peace, however, he was particularly fixated on the “Innocence of Muslims” as egregious enough to justify violence.

“I believe the producer of the film’s [goal] was to have people hate each other. We are against the bad reaction, but the producer wants people to react that way [rioting]. He has a hidden agenda.”

In fairness, TheBlaze has reported that the filmmakers appear to be dubious characters with checkered pasts, and perhaps even ill-intentions. That said, they were certainly within their “right” under American law to produce the movie, whether tasteful or not. Qatanani pressed that irrespective of context, such movies and rhetoric will be exploited by extremists and thus, America has a responsibility to prevent inflammatory material that could agitate jihadists from reaching the mainstream.

An interesting point to note was that throughout the discussion, Qatanani repeatedly called for peaceful action and condemned violence as being anathema to true Islam. Conversely, he referred to the attacks on U.S. embassies abroad that left a U.S. ambassador, two Navy SEALs and one additional civil servant dead, as merely ”a bad reaction.”

He then repeated calls for peace and maintained that such “bad reactions” go directly against Islam’s peaceful nature.

“We condemn any bad reaction that is not peaceful. That is not Islamically acceptable, even by the teachings of the prophet. It is unacceptable.”

So who is Qatanani?

Qatanani’s notoriety soared in 2008 when U.S. immigration authorities attempted to deport him.

Born in the Palestinian city of Nablus, Qatanani was arrested, pleaded guilty and was convicted in an Israeli military court in 1993 for aiding Hamas during an uprising that same year. When he immigrated to the United States in 1996, the cleric failed to include information about his ties to the terrorist group on his U.S. Green Card application. The omission, along with the cleric’s checkered past, prompted immigration officials to file a motion to deport Qatanani and his family.

Qatanani and his attorneys have since minimized the cleric’s history, maintaining that he was merely among hundreds of other Palestinians detained during the uprising and that he had been convicted in absentia and later subjected to harsh interrogation tactics, even “torture.”

Ultimately, Qatanini and his family were granted permanent residency in 2008, but the case is currently being appealed through the New Jersey Immigration Court of Appeals. He is also suing the FBI and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency for the release of any records that bear relevance on his ability to remain in the U.S. The imam filed his suit under the Freedom of Information Act in a U.S. District Court in Newark at the end of June, 2012. His suit claims the of Departments of Justice and Homeland Security have ignored his requests for records for more than five months.

It should also be noted that Qatanani has been much admired, not only in the Muslim community but interfaith communities as well. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has even embraced the cleric, calling him a “friend.”

Miseducation?

So what does one of America’s most high-profile and perhaps controversial Islamic scholars think is really behind the animus Islamists harbor for the West? “Miseducation.”

According to Qatanani, “miseducation on both sides” is fanning the flames of discontent in the “Muslim or Arab world…and the solution is education for everyone.” For the cleric, misunderstanding can, and clearly has, led to “killing.”

“The people here don’t understand the Arab world, how they think and deal with holy issues — issues related to the Quran and Prophet Muhammad,” the imam told TheBlaze.

The imam clarified his position by saying that there is an onus on each and every person — Muslim or not — to weigh the potential harm that could come from his or her words. The message Qatanani was attempting to convey is that “we have to stop” putting people’s lives in danger and sabotaging Muslim-American relations with anti-Islamic language and imagery. He did not address the lives that are put in danger from actual acts of agression waged by Muslims who are not respecting another culture’s “law of the land.”

Qatanani said that in these sensitive times following the Arab Spring, Muslims abroad “want to be close to America” but that saboteurs are getting in the way. “I believe that understanding each other and education is the key,” Qatanani said, adding that cross-pollination is possible if Muslim and American scholars travel to one another’s regions to educate the public.

“So we need to build that bridge. The Muslims living here in U.S. can do that.”

Mostly the readers, if you do not like to read any post it is the option of the reader to bypass such. That is why we have freedom of choice, it also why there are so many different restaurants, types of clothing, cars, homes, etc. We are as a people have our likes and dislikes and no one is ever going to change this. For that also I am glad. So enjoy or disagree as well as comment or not. It is a on going process in life, it is how we learn.

      Here’s some truth
I hope that only a minority of muslims are prepared to follow every law of the koran.
I hope there are Muslims who would hide unbelievers.
As there were Christians who hid Jews during WW II.

Islam is made up of deceit, brutality, coercion, and absolute control.
      Their book teaches
      hatred not love.
      Revenge not forgiveness.
      Violence not peace.
I am talking about islam and the people who claim to be true followers of same.

Islam is not about ANY of the things Christ teaches.
      Islam is against The Christ.

      1 John 2:22-23
Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever ACKNOWLEDGES the Son has the Father also.

Hmmm; that could almost make mohammed the false prophet, could it not?

Ever wonder why they treat their women with such ugliness and contempt?

      Daniel 11:37
He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god, for he shall exalt himself above them all.
The desire OF women not the desire FOR women.

Was it not a woman who gave us our Saviour?

The Trinity is blasphemy to the Muslim.

The very essence of Christianity is based on the Holy Trinity.

Guess what, we don’t even swear at any person who denies our Triune God.

Well, maybe some us do. Sometimes.

I know we always have to put a caveat on our comments: “not all Muslims are like that but islam is” So there!
I hope there are Muslims who would hide unbelievers as there are Christians who would hide even a homosexual Muslim, who wants to keep his head.

Islam is not about peace but total submission.
Islam uses these systems to deceive humanity:
      education
      propaganda
      family
      banking
      proselytising
      violence
      military
      politics
      law-sharia
      Maybe not in this order.

Islam is much more dangerous than communism.
Unfortunately there are those who agree and smile to your face while plunging the knife in to your heart.
Even committing EVIL, never mind lying, is allowed in islam as long as it furthers the cause, which is to control the world.

All these attacks are part of a strategy.

They produce a video, cartoon, book or a tv show that insults islam. Unless they can find it on the internet, of course.

Then, because of all these “insults” to their so called holy book, they are totally justified to commit revenge to these actions.

The violence will increase until the world finally says:

YES, you are right and we are wrong. For the sake of peace (false peace) we will create a law that the whole world has to abide by.

For even mentioning the name of allah as a non-believer you now must be fined or beheaded.

Isn’t there something like it already on the books at the UN?

It seems that Obama doesn’t need much of an excuse to sign any

This is ridiculous, contradictory and plainly illogical. This guy needs to think a bit more deeply before making such claims. In short Americans should NOT use “free speech” when and where Muslims are concerned (unless of course it’s to praise them for whatever reason) within a critical context. Irony here being that this Imam is using his “free speech” in a critical or chastising manner of Americans to let Americans know they should not use their “free speech” in a critical or chastising manner of Muslims and/or their prophet. Makes sense right?

Mr. Imam, if I, an American, went to Pakistan would I have the ability to voice my displeasure at how Muslims are burning the American flag and how it offends me? My pleas for the Muslims to stop doing that would fall on deaf ears, why? Well because in a Muslim country Muslim law rules over all other laws, correct? My American objections to Muslim behavior would not be wise because to you Islam is the one true “way” and all other world views are an abomination thus your insistence that America follow sharia law. Odd how you use “free speech” when it suits you yet deny others the same right when it goes against you. Your world view is illogical and contradictory therefore it cannot stand.

Think 9/11..3 muslim men were issued visas to come here and were trained at a naval base in Florida..Bush was briefed daily up until the incident and the Israeli Massad followed them up to it with front row seats and hi fived it..Also think of the 700 billion in TARP which went to Sharia Compliant Banks like Citi Bank and Goldman Sachs..which fund organizations funding terrorism. and Al Franken after being cheated in by Clintons..inviting 300+ muslims to key positions in our government..our presidents are puppets being used by the un Federal Reserve to bring in the Communist New World Order..David Rockefeller of the Rothschild/Rockefeller 13 family unfederal reserve.

Mohammad Qatanani and people like him really need to think about what it is to be an American, what it includes and what responsibilities it it demands. Since he must have had to swear to this oath when accepting his “US Citizenship” he should read it again in its ENTIRETY every day if need be.

Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America

      Oath

“I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the armed forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.”
The last time I checked free speech was part of The Bill of Rights to the U.S. Constitution. If he feels he cannot abide by his oath then maybe he may want to consider relocating to a place more in line with his way of thinking. There is no picking and choosing which rights you like and how you implement t

Muhammad, under American jurisprudence, would be in jail today, if he were alive, as a pedophile. Aisha was SIX years old when he married her, and NINE when he “Consumated” the marraige & he? is who islam follows, and venerates! How truly sad, and satanic! Muslims, of course, IGNORE this truth, and try to justify it as O.K. re historical reality in Arab countries. Something to be proud of?
I pray for all Muslims to find TRUE love, and TRUTH, in Christ Jesus!

I agree with you completely. If Qatanani doesn’t like our rights and freedoms he can leave at any time. He won’t be missed. Why should we have to change our laws? Why doesn’t he go back where he came from and change the Sharia Laws. I don’t subscribe to his religion and am not bound by its laws. If you don’t like our laws, rights, and freedoms then get the Hell our. We don’t need you and don’t want you here. Take a hike Qatanani and you can take Obama with you.

This movie is very inspirational and points out how God is being removed by a few and how we just accept it. It goes to the heart of America and shows how our military provides freedom for the world and how at home we take it for granted.

Go ahead and try to stop our free speech. We will offend you until every last one of us is gone. Muslims hate freedom because they are a religion of satan. Satan loves the fact that women and gays are still stoned to death. Satan loves that women are treated like dogs. Satan loves that suicide bombers kill many other people on in the name of their “god”. Satan loves the fact that your koran says to kill anyone who won’t become a muslim. Our government keeps telling us islam is “peaceful”, but I think its time to tell them to stop peeing on our leg and calling it rain.

He is arguing that this is one of those “catch 22′s” of free speech. Like shouting “Fire!” in a crowded theater.

What he is saying is that Muslims are required by their faith to defend their god/prophet when he is mocked or ridiculed. He is careful to say that Islam does not condone violence (despite the fact that it not only condones it, it revels in it) But then he implies violence will occur if you insult the prophet.

So he is suggesting that because violence/death/destruction is certain if the prophet is insulted, it would be the same as shouting fire in a theater, an act that the Supreme Court ruled is not protected speech, because the goal wasn’t to express an opinion; but to cause a panic.

I think it’s obvious to even the dimmest American that the real test of Free Speech is precisely what the Iman want’s to ban. This supposed “Hate Speech” is exactly what our founders were talking about.

If you can’t insult someone’s religion, philosophy, or politics, then we don’t really have free speech.

The Iman loves free speech when he can freely talk about the destruction of the Jews, and Christians, he doesn’t like it when the same talks bad about his religion or him.

Grow up sport. This is America.

What’s truly maddening is the support this type of claim will receive, oddly (predictably?) enough from leftist, progressives and a helluva lot of secularists and/or nihilists. These are the apologists and enablers who won’t just defend the cleric’s right to spout this call for repression. Many will actually assert the cleric makes a point that must be not only acknowledged, but acted upon. There’s a disconnect I can’t wrap my gourd around, other than these folks agree with the followers of Islam on one shared tenet: The all-mighty feeling trumps all. Oh, and as many leftists assert, free speech is really not such a good thing… especially when it can be practiced by everyone (not just your club).
Screw your feelings and, as a matter of course, screw my feelings. If you cannot condone free speech because of your mental state, then you are a danger to yourself and/or others. Time to seriously think about how to deal with such threats. This is a form of mental illness. I’d say it’s an Axis II Personality Disorder. You can’t just let unhinged people like this out amongst the general population. I’m not saying all Muslims are bad. Hell, many fall in lock-step out of fear. But the rabble rousers and ring leaders? Oh, they merit a probable cause hearing.
When your ideology or religion threatens others’ lives, you are (duh) the threat. Can’t handle free speech? Time to juice you up and/or lock you up. This is just nuts.

This is how they plan to get all of us to convert to their religion. First the get our govenment to agree with them that is is a national defense / security issue. This is not such a far pletched thing with Obama in office. Then they get the the govenment to agree to limit anything being said or done against their false prophet and thus limit our freedom of speech. Then they will say that the Christian religion is anti Moooohhhaammmeed and get our freedom of religion revoked.

There is going to be only one way for the issue between Muslims and Christians to be resolved and it will be with the armies of the lord doing battle against those who persecute us for our beliefs. I for one would gladly give up my life for my lord in order to put and end to what I consider to be the religion that has inflicted so much hate, anger and death to so many innocent people who refuse to believe in their false prophet. Soon youtube will be inundated with videos bashing Muhammad. This will cause the Islamic Bubbas all over the world to have a tantrum/fit/episode/meltdown – whatever the PC term is for those little outbreaks that come from those suffering from “Extreme Islamic Dementia Disorder”.

It’s how the people deal with people of any extremes. The people will not treat Islam any differently, nor should they. On the same note, SNL used to be edgy; even had Madonna rip a picture of the Pope once. Hey Madonna, you really think the Catholic church was evil and fascist? Well, go rip a picture of Muhammad on SNL, that’ll be edgy and serve any even better point. ABSOLUTELY CORRECT !

Garments of fire have been prepared for the unbelievers. Scalding water shall be poured upon their heads, melting their skins and that which is in their bellies. They shall be lashed with rods of iron.
Whenever, in their anguish, they try to escape from Hell, back they shall be dragged, and will be told: “Taste the torment of the Conflagration!”
      Quran 22:19-20, “The Pilgrimage,” Dawood, p. 333

Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends. They are friends with one another. Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number. God does not guide the wrong-doers.
      Quran 5:51, “The Table,” Dawood, p. 116

What I find funny is that these Imams and those high up in Islam say that the best thing to do is be a martyr and strap a b omb to themselves and blow up innocent people. They say it is the surest way to be with Allah, plus they get 72 virgins if they are successful.

Well here is my question…..why aren’t these Imams and those high up in Islam not being a martyr and blowing themselves up for Allah? Why do they tell everyone else to do it, but they don’t? Instead they stay in there little protected mosques of hate and tell others what to do. If it is the surest way to be with Allah then they should lead by example, or are they hyprocrits who don’t really believe in it but get everyone else to pay homage to them and take care of them……I’m just saying if that is the surest way to be with Allah then they should be the ones doing it but they are cowards because they know it is a lie…..it is just sad that so many fall for this stuff.

@ Bluefish49…..good point, however, remember that liberals/democrats are doing all they can to ban guns and if Obama gets back in office….I won’t be surprised if this doesn’t happen. Remember, the UN is trying to do a backdoor to our second admendment and just about all the democrats supported it. Luckily it didn’t go through but believe me that won’t stop them.

Don’t be surprised if an “executive order” comes down that will either ban or severly limit our rights to own gun…..and if that doesn’t work, they will go after the ammunition. Obama already supported a 500% tax on any ammo sold. If they can’t take our guns, then they will go after the ammo…..and if they succeed with that, what good is having a gun….unless you want to use it as a paper weight.

Exactly: These ignorant, pompous, macho creeps think they can TELL us anything? That is only because we have a President (now) who doesn’t believe that any nation should be exceptional. He wants the world to sit down on the lowest level (because it’s more fair) He is a sick, psycho. He was raised by Communists (but didn’t hear from those living under communism and refused to admit how terrible communism was when it FAILED) .
OBAMA knew about the threats to our Libyan Embassy. It was inconvenient to his plans. He cares no more about that SLAIN AMBASSADOR, the TWO NAVY SEALS and the other PATRIOT than he does about any AMERICAN. WE are his enemy. HE is a traitor. We need to start impeachment proceedings immediately.
PEOPLE who think Obama will support them and who are wrong: GAYS; (Obama is one, he’s also Muslim, he’s not going to help you); WOMEN: wrong again. Obama is a Muslim – women are chattel to them. AND NOW THIS:

DO YOU GUYS REALIZE that the Obama Health Care is going to demand that even OUT OF WORK
(thanks to Obama’s policies) people will be FINED if they don’t pay for HEALTH INSURANCE? 6 Million of them… SO a person gets fired because we have the WORST Economic policies IN THE WORLD; they can’t get re-hired…they can’t sell their homes and go to where jobs are because of FANNIE/FREDDY; they can’t start their own businesses thanks to regulations EPA and other. Any person living in America that thinks Freedom of Speech should be limited, they are not true Americans and they need to pack their bags and leave this country forever. We will not be lectured by someone with ties to terrorists who want to destroy our way of life.

“Liberty is meanginless where the right to utter one’s thoughts and opinions has ceased to exist. That, of all rights, is the dread of tyrants. It is the right which they first of all strike down.” – Frederick Douglass

If the government tries to appease these Islamic radicals by editing our freedom of speech, they may well find crowds with torches and pitchforks marching to Washington. We are rapidlly approaching a point in history where vigorous exercise of the 2nd amendement by those unwilling to bow to intimidation/threats/violence will be required to save the 1st.

It is clear that the Dems and a large segment of the left are willing to allow erosion of the 1st if that allows them to control or ban the 2nd. A two pronged attack by Islam and the left on the very foundations of the nation. Traitors, all of them.

      Hey Iman De-Mon,

The only reason you get to spew such anti-American hate
is BECAUSE of OUR free speech.

This is OUR country…with rights by OUR founders.

I would love to hear you try to lecture Adams, Jefferson, Madison
and fellow patriots on how & why America should zip it up.

      The same radical Islam,
      comfortable cutting off innocent heads,
now, feels the need to cut of American speech-
      when PIGS fly, BOZO !

Go back to the desert & preach your sharia ****,

There have been numerous attempts in recent years to make it an international crime to “slander” Islam. But if they make it a crime to speak ill of Islam, that pretty much makes Islam the only legal religion. If you say that Jesus is the way to God, they will accuse you of slandering Islam. The law can’t be repealed because they will say you are slandering Islam. You can’t add other religions to that law (also making it illegal to slander Christianity or Judaism, for example), because they will say you are slandering Islam. If you oppose a theocratic government, they will say you are slandering Islam. Everything is a “holy issue” to an extremist.

If this is passed into law, it will permanently destroy every semblance of freedom.

@U.N.Hater who posted, “Why did the blaze take my post down for telling the truth. Rise up people our government is OUR ENEMY!”

Clearly you didn’t really mean what you just wrote – The Blaze provides this forum for our use based upon its “Comment Policy” and “Terms of Use.” The First Amendment does not apply here. So your encouraging people to “Rise up because our government is OUR ENEMY” is misplaced.

Glenn Beck and his network aren’t parts of the government. And while I also understand the discontent we all have regarding the government, that surely doesn’t make it our enemy. After all, who is it that hires these people? From what I can tell, we still elect those who create these stupid laws. The real problem is those who simply don’t vote at all. If they’d do a little thinking and a little more voting, I’m confident that Mr. Obama and his family would be evicted come next January.

Well said Landon410. We all know that the “religion of peace” is actually a “cult” of anti-Christian zealots directly from hell. These people will cut off your head for speaking ill of there great religious leader “Muhammad”. So, according to this “Imam” it’s OK to harm or even kill those who do not bow down to THEIR great Prophet Muhammad. Seriously?? Sorry Imam Mohammad Qatanani, YOU ARE IN A CHRISTIAN NATION. You are here because we allow for FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND RELIGION. If we want to mock your great Prophet Muhammad or any other religious leader, WE WILL. Don’t like it? LEAVE. I swore an oath to protect this great country against foreign or domestic threats. And so have millions of others. You may want to tread lightly. THIS IS NOT A THREAT. But when you come HERE and make such a demand, well you better expect pushback. We WILL speak our minds, and if that insults your great Prophet, so be it. Looking at what’s happening now in the Middle East we can all see how your “religion of peace” is soooo tolerant of others who don’t “bow” down to your warped ideologies. We are sick and tired of your religions continued demands and threats towards those who don’t bow down to it. YOU my friend are a threat to OUR national security. Just like in 1800. Remember what we did back then when your “peaceful religion” kept attacking and holding Americans hostage for $$$?? Sooner are later the people in this great country will tire of all this BS and then you’ll see w

I respectfully decline to accept limits on my right to speak. I will of course accept responsibility for my words, I accept personal responsibility for all of my actions. But I invite the gentleman with the opinion that I need to curb my speech about islam simply because I have no right to speak about it to kindly turn his ears elsewhere, for he feels no similar concern for anyone else’s feelings about their own religion. Hindus may feel HE has no right to speak about theirs. Christians may feel he has no right to speak about Christ. Jews may feel he has no right to speak about Judaism. Wiccans may feel he has no right to speak about the Lord and Lady. Zen Buddhists may simply feel that he’s a figment of a snail’s imagination, and not care WHAT he thinks.

But if he does care what I think, and he decides to try to hurt me, I respectfully submit that self-defense is not violence, it is the antithesis of violence, since it is done in accordance with law and custom, with respect for justice and honor. Violence knows no boundaries, knows no law, has no honor. I will defend myself in accordance with the law, and send any attacker home in a big rubber ziplock bag, no matter WHAT religion they practice or feel they are defending.

‘Free speech that mocks…..is offensive….and it is a security threat??’

The idea of free speech protects even those who offend; thats the point. If it was censored, it would not be free now would it?

I find equally within the U.S. borders, they who offend christianity with their ‘free speech.’ Hawkins comes to mind, Letterman, MAtthews, Maddow, Leno, Maher, BEhar, Wango… Phil the atheist, etc; yet, I welcome their voices in the current land of the free. They have every right to make fools of themselves, as do they who call for the heads of infidels.

The sad truth is, that this push for speech ‘reservations’ and ‘careful what you say’ will find a soft spot in the minds of a weak and complicit media, who will make Islam fanaticals look like boy scouts, while painting christians as the true enemies of the earth. Oh how GOd is heaven is patient.

Spiritually, we know Islam is anti-Christ.

As citizens of a free nation of which an enemy has declared itself to be at war with- I believe that the only logical response would be to view that enemy as the threat to national security.

But only in this upside-down world could our leadership construe the free speech of the citizenry as the national security threat, as they apologise for our truthfulness. They wish to enslave us from within, to make us easy prey. But we will not be silent.

Islam does condone violence every day all you have to do is look at their actions. Their prophet muhammad had to be a mad man violent man judging by the actions of his followers. I know of no other religion that calls for violence like this one does. His so called religion demostrates it by their actions. Qatanani wants sharia law in the USA and happy until it happens. In other words the Islamic faith is so weak, immature, childish, self centered, naive, they cannot have anyone criticize or question them. If your “allha” is such a strong god then it would not be a requirement that you murder people who are not of your faith for whatever reason you deem that to be. That sounds nothing more than an excuse to act like a school yard bully.

For this guy to claim Islam does not condone violence is laughable. Your people are cowards. Only cowards hide behind their faith as a justification to murder others. He is a lair, all you need do is look at their past decades of repeated intent to destroy Israel and her people and anyone that are their allies or friends. No sir, you are a liar and your “faith” betrays you.

We have too many liberal judges that are allowing sharia law in the U.S. sharia law goes against our constitution. It is part of a religion and we have separation of church and state. If the government uses sharia law to restrict free speech that is extremely anti constitution.
If someone from a different country wants to come to the U.S. to live, they need to live by our laws not change our laws to theirs. Our language is English. Our Law is the constitution. Our Faith has always been based on the Holy BIBLE!
