Fox’s Chris Wallace to Robert Gibbs: Obama ‘Has Time for Whoopi Goldberg, But He Doesn’t Have Time for World Leaders?’
Senior Obama campaign adviser Robert Gibbs on Sunday defended the president’s plan to appear on ABC’s “The View” while skipping any private meetings with world leaders gathered in New York this week for the United Nations General Assembly.
Appearing on “Fox News Sunday,” Gibbs told host Chris Wallace he has “no problem” with Obama’s decision to swap one-on-one meetings with his foreign counterparts for a joint appearance with first lady Michelle Obama on the daytime talk show. The Associated Press described such sessions as “where much of the U.N. works gets done” and said Obama was leaving Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to handle more of them.
“You say that he’s got schedules, that foreign leaders have schedules,” Wallace said. “He has time for Whoopi Goldberg but he doesn’t have time for world leaders?”
Gibbs, the former White House press secretary, insisted Obama would be “actively involved” in the U.N. proceedings, to which Wallace said Obama was “giving a speech.”
“Chris, they have telephones in the White House,” Gibbs said. “Last week, he talked to the president of Egypt. He talked to the leader in Libya. We don’t need a meeting in Washington just to confer with leaders. We’ve got a strong — ”
“But he does need the time to be on ‘The View’?” Wallace interjected.
Attempting to flip the conversation, Gibbs said he was sure that if the president was doing an interview with him on Fox, Wallace would “have no problem with that.”
“Well, he hasn’t, but that’s not the point,” Wallace countered. Asking whether Gibbs truly has no problem with Obama’s plan, Gibbs replied in the affirmative.
“Chris, you’re the president of the United States every minute of every day,” Gibbs said. “This isn’t just about one meeting on one particular day in New York. The president is actively involved and engaged in the most dangerous place in the world every single day of the week.”

Obama has said he knows the Quran and indeed has quoted from it often. 2. Mohammed says in the Quran that when your enemies (infidels) are strong, you bide your time, be patient. When the infidels show signs of weakness, you strike with overwhelming force and violence. So why has Obama shown such weakness and conciliation toward the Muslims? 3. Obama has been instrumental in gutting the Middle East of leaders, though not America lovers, have kept the Middle East stable and maintained the uneasy standoff with Israel. 4. Much of his speech in the last year since the bin Laden’s take down have been over the top in inciting Muslim resentment (why is it okay to spike the football relentlessly on killing a most favorite son of Islam, but not okay to make a stupid video?) 5. Since the Ambassador’s killing, Obama and his administration have actually been the equivalent of hyping the movie! Couldn’t ask for better PR for maximum exposure. 6. Why would a gay Ambassador be assigned to Libya without BETTER than average protection? 7. With the Muslin Brotherhood represented in OUR OWN government at the highest levels with access to the President, (Huma, among MANY others, does a leak seam such a stretch? It is obvious that the terrorists knew exactly where to find the Ambassador.

Posted on September 23, 2012 at 10:11pmThere are a couple of things you guys need to understand. Presidents don’t generally meet with foreign leaders to talk sports or the weather. Their time is valuable, and when leaders meet it’s generally to reach agreements on issues that have mostly or completely been worked out among diplomats. US Presidents don’t give other leaders face time just for fun, or to let another leader yell at them. They meet when there is serious business to discuss and business that has mostly been worked out in advance.
Sorry to tell you but meeting with foreign leaders isn’t like you walking across the street to talk to your neighbor. Nor do US Presidents bow down and kiss up to leaders like Netanyahu who demand their time. US Presidents don’t kneel to other foreign leaders will and arrange change their schedules accordingly. The US is still the only superpower, and US Presidents don’t have to suck up to any country.

The liberals complain about the percentage of taxes that Romney pays. He has NO income, his money comes from investments and he pays a capital returns rate of 15%. His giving to charity make anyone in the Obama administration look foolish. Biden gave the least but he is funny by the gift of stupidity.

Ambassadoe and three other Americans murdered or a campaign stop in Vegas? Which is more presidential? Admit that the spontaneous acts of violence caused by a movie clip that was nearly three months old was really pre-planned. Of course to keep perspective only refer to the incidents as speed bumps. Now that is presidential!!

yes me too. Not every post. But it has been happening more and more. And not just on the blaze. When i visit huffpoooooo I get it every post. But they never posted any of my comments anyways.
I reccomend going to huffpooooo to read the true propoganda of the enemy. Also reading the comments. As much as the comments make my blood boil, it does give me a good insite into the stupidty and ignorance of much of America. Never mind that they get thousands of posts for almost every article they put up on that site. But they also constantly repeat posts, and just the posts that are very communists leaning. especially the lies. They are commies and so currupt that i can right a book on just the evidence and examples of there corruption for each day of the year.
