It’s no secret that the foreign policy of the United States tends to reflect the world views of the occupant of the White House.

Sure, there used to be some homage paid to the notion that “politics stops at the water’s edge,” but that hasn’t really been true for generations. Particularly if you are out to improve the world, you are going to wind up exporting your own ideas about world improvement.

Free-market types will urge freer markets, even when these take the form of the kind of corrupt privatization that gave rise to Russia’s oligarchs. And the Obama administration, well, it thinks the wealthy need to be taxed more — everywhere.

“One of the issues that I have been preaching about around the world is collecting taxes in an equitable manner — especially from the elites in every country,” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in her speech at the Clinton Global Initiative Monday.

Although Clinton noted that she is “out of politics” domestically, the audience was already chuckling at her clear reference to the debate over tax policy in the presidential contest.

“It is a fact that the elites in every country are making money. There are rich people everywhere, and yet they do not contribute to the growth of their own countries,” Clinton said.

The “tax everyone” remark comes at the 20:37 mark:

What Clinton meant by “contribute to growth” was revealing. She listed contributing to building schools and hospitals rather than domestic business investment, which is the conventional meaning of contributing to growth.

This is something that I hadn’t realized was a part of the goals of U.S. foreign policy: higher taxes around the world on the wealthy. But now we know it straight from the mouth of Madam Secretary Clinton herself.

They each got $ 8 million apiece for their Ghost written books and I bet they love they fact that they only have to pay 15% on the profits that the 4 16 million makes.   You don’t need people to stop paying taxes to accomplish REAL change in this country. All you have to do is have folks change their witholding amount to ZERO. You still pay SS and Medicare every paycheck, but ZERO goes towards Federal Income Tax. For those who get all their money back in tax refunds will still owe nothing come April 15. For others, they will have to write a check for the taxes owed. If enough people, or rather, enough of the right people (i.e., the highest wage earners) did this, I predict it would only take a few weeks before the schmucks in D.C. start to panic.

AGENDA 21 at it’s best. Take away the right to own property, I can proudly say I had a direct hand in getting SO Cal Edison to offer the Digital meter OPT OUT. They just came out and replaced my digital with the analog, of course I had to pay $75.00 to replace even though they hopped my fence to change out in the first place and I have to pay $10 extra per month as a penalty for going against Agenda 21. This is a small victory but it is mine. For all of the skeptics research at democratsagainstagenda21.com this left wing, lesbian, tree hugger is against it and is knowledgeable.   Congratulations on your accomplishment! There was much uproar in our community in Southern Maine against the smart meters too. Finally they agreed to offering an Opt. out. but we have to pay an extra $12/mo.

Someone ought to remind her that she is rich and elite! How much extra did the Clintons pay? They like anyone calling for higher taxes can pay more, pay down the debt make gift payments to the government anytime they want!

Tax the 50% of people that don’t pay any taxes at all. The country would more than double its own revenue stream.

Why? Because THEY didn’t build this country; the other half that have paid taxes did that.

In truth, it wouldn’t matter if the United States government collected 100% tax on everybody on the entire planet; they’d just misappropriate it and borrow more.
