Howard Stern Does It Again: Interviews Obama Supporters in Harlem, Hilarity Ensues

Remember back in 2008 when shock jock Howard Stern had his associates conduct “man on the street” interviews with Obama supporters? We’re sure you do. The results were both hilarious and depressing (depending on your political persuasion, of course).

Why were the results of the 2008 experiment hilarious/depressing? Because it became painfully clear that many of the people interviewed by Stern’s team had absolutely no idea what they were talking about or why they were supporting candidate Obama.

And if you thought it was funny (and/or depressing) in 2008, you’ll really enjoy the 2012 edition. Yes, Stern’s cohort once again descends on Harlem to ask a fistful of Obama supporters about the president, his accomplishments, and his GOP rival Mitt Romney.

What did the Stern crew learn? Well, among other things, they discover Osama Bin Laden isn’t dead, Romney is pro-choice, Obama is pro-life, and Paul Ryan is Obama’s running mate.

Now, it would be unfair to say that the folks heard in the following video are representative of all Obama supporters. It’s a small group of very similar people. Even Stern admits they didn’t interview a diverse group. In addition, the interviewer does set up some of the questions in a leading way. So take the results with a grain of salt:

2/3′s of Obama’s voters are just like that. The other 1/3 are Marxists who think America should be a quasi-communist country. They have convinced themselves that this is the path to prosperity. It’s a mental illness like stockholm syndrome. So many people long to be ruled over as serfs these days.

  Seriously, what the heck is wrong with people? Obama is counting on people being asleep at the wheel to win this one. And did you see the 60 Minutes clip where Obama says he takes responsibility for everything…to some degree? I can’t believe this guy even has a chance, and then you hear these Stern interviews and it’s like some of these people probably don’t even know what country they live in.

What ****** me off is that they have no relevant understanding of our countries history, and no understanding of what is happening before their own eyes. It’s as if they are deft, dumb, and blind.   It doesn’t matter if it’s 2\3, 1\2, or 1\3. What matter is that there are imbecils like this, on both sides, voting in America. This is why it’s imperative to get people with any sort of education to the polls. These people clearly have none (formal or otherwise).

  If I am not mistaken..a person has to be on the tax roles to serve on a jury..yet we have illegals and dead people voting..not to mention the welfare people.. I believe it was Ayn Rand who said that when you have over 50% of the populaton who’s on welfare..and they can vote to make the 47% support them..you have a problem…

  You really should have to show ID and pass a simple test to be able to vote.
  At least be able to answer who were the last two VPOTUS and who are the four people who are running for POTUS and VP. Maybe even know who Sec. of state is.

  So no one remembers when Bill Maher did something similar in a southern state (Mississippi? maybe?). He had a reporter go around and ask people why they were politically conservative. No one could answer coherently, and a few were even denouncing “big government” while collecting food stamps. Saying 2/3 of the Obama electorate is like the people in this clip is incredibly insulting, and only furthers my inclination that you watch a whole lot of Fox news and don’t care much for actual facts.

  My sister invited me to go see the new Batman movie with her and her friends. After the movie was over, I said to one of my sisters friend that the Bane villians reminded me of OWS. Obama and Romney both want bigger government, just in different areas. Obama supports gun-control, Romney signed a permanent “assault weapons” ban in Mass. Obama wants government run healthcare, Romney did it first in Mass. Obama appoints liberal judges. In Mass, all judges appointed by Romney were liberal. The issue isn’t that are ignorant people. There is on both sides. The problem is that the Democratic Party knows that these poor ignorant victims of liberal society will vote for Obama. So they drive busses around picking them up like sheep to get them to their polling place. Like lambs to the slaughter, they’ll line up chanting their savior’s name Obama! Obama! not knowing they are victims of one of the biggest scams ever perpetated on a race. Unfortunately most of these poor souls will never know real freedom or feel the pride of self reliance.

  You make some good points. Its like the Left Cultivates them, they don’t provide them with a good education that is the key to escaping their poverty. They do provide them with enough benefits that keep them just comfortable enough. They are not at all judgmental toward behaviors that contribute toward keeping them in their dependent state.   That depends upon how you look at it.
  It takes a brilliant plant to put a foreign agent in the White House and then use stupid people to keep him voted in and then a stupid man such as Howard Stern to interview these stupid people. What is even stupider is that some of these stupid people are going to vote at least once if not more, under people’s names who are either dead or too stupid to vote for themselves. It seems the whole thing is quite stupid, but actually it is quite brilliant on the parts of those putting Obama in office. What is even more stupider is that Congress and the news media is dead silent on what is really going on. It is not looking good for Obama to be voted out, so now what?

It would be funny it were not so tragic. It shows the level of education here in the United States, the taking
over of ethnicity over the welfare of the country in general that it is ok even if the country is in danger as long as one of your own is at the seat of power. The reality is that Obama could win and if that is the

  Ok, define government money. I own a small business and we get tax breaks on various spending. Large corporations get larger breaks than me. Actually, all business write offs are money from the government. If you own a house do you take a mortgage deduction? Do you or anyone you know take the earned income tax credit? Do you take any deductions on taxes? Do you take public transportation?
  
  That is all government money, just as a very small example. So, what do you define as government money and who should have their constitutional rights taken away? By the way, if you’re trying to take voting rights away, you’re no conservative.

  Disagree! I’m retired with 20 years service in the armed forces, and I get a government pension for my promise to die for my country, many near-death experiences, moving all over the world, forced separations, etc. Many like me who receive gov’t money EARNED it, not freeloaders at all. Let’s do it this way instead. You have to pay Federal Income taxes to vote. I pay fed/state/SSN/Medicare taxes on my USAF retirement income, in addition to all the taxes I pay on my current job (about $30k in fed tax alone per year). Since I’m paying the bills for the Government, I get to vote.
  
  Alternately, let’s try this: In order to vote, you have to have served in the US Military, thus promising to “Support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, to bear true faith and allegiance to the same…” No pledge to defend the Constitution of the United States with your life? Then you don’t get a vote.

i think there should be a test of issues on the voting sheet and you MUST pass the test of 10 questions with at least getting 7 outta 10 to have your vote count…….this is insane…………….BLIND FOLLOWING THE BLIND

  I think it was here in the posts somebody proposed the idea of completing a history test before being able to cast a vote. That would help a lot.
  But of course we would have Democrats and their cohort of cronies crying for the violation of ignorant people’s civil rights. And then again, Republicans are bad, bad people because they expect liberals to be educated or at least informed.

Howard won’t admit that he is very conservative on fiscal issues. On social issues, he is very liberal, but when it comes to money… he seems to believe that a 35% Federal tax rate plus a 10% N.Y. State tax rate plus his property taxes, sales taxes, fuel taxes, etc… he seems to believe that paying over 50% is MORE than his fair share.

I guess he is just another rich, greedy white guy stealing from the poor so he can get richer….

  His job, as with many “celebrties”, won’t allow him to be conservative on social issues. He probably is too but can’t express it or he’ll offend over half his audience. We need to stop this garbage of social vs. fiscal conservatives. We’re all conservatives and all of it is important. All of it shapes our country. It doesn’t make any sense to live in a world where taxes are low and has little government involvement but are aborting half the population and allowing anything to get married to everything else. BOTH are equally important and I dare say, you can’t have one without the other.
