Sep. 25, 2012 at 4:22amFor the most part POLITICIANS ARE OBSOLETE. There is a very competent group of citizens that are capable of keeping the lights on and the sewers working that NEVER LEAD US TO WAR. This need to worship leaders of any kind is insanity and perverse. It is our duty to minimize and remove the flaw of LAZY VOTERS that have oppinions without active involvement in the daily business of government. Remember “To govern is to HOLD BACK”

Sep. 24, 2012 at 9:32pm“Socialism and the personality cult.” Well folks, that about sums it up. How long before we see giant pictures and statues of Obama all over the place? If they can figure out a way to get the ears to stay on, that is.

Chavez does not look like anyone who has cancer to me. I think that was made up as a sympathy cover to his people and so me could meet with the Castro brothers more often; there’s something going on between iran, venezuela and cuba that we don’t know about yet. I’m sure it’s not good.

Sep. 24, 2012 at 9:14pmYoung people (some/most?) don’t think things through. Whatever they grew up with and what was cool to their friends is cool to them. I grew up in the 60′s and 70′s, graduated in ’79, went to college in the early ’80′s. the music, movies, and shows from that era of time are cool to me.
Chavez has cancer, let’s hope he doesn’t last too much longer and that whoever replaces him is better.

Sep. 24, 2012 at 9:33pmI have to agree for the most part with your conclusion; our kids are not being taught to think rationally and have common sense developed as it used to be in my grandparents times. Mind you, I do not claim to have much in the way of common sense – just enough to know how often I get into trouble if I do not stop and work a problem or challenge or plan through from one end to another.
More and more we are seeing a generation raised on ‘if it feels good go for/along with it…”
Note, not all kids are this way; but common sense is like learning practical wisdom – often the school of hard nocks is the only way to get it through ones skull. Unfortunatly Obama has created a true and dangerous (as they will vote for him) cult of personality AND dependancy (government stuff).
Thus his talons sink in to double effect.
Lord willing this November we will uproot Obama and set the stage to begin righting the ship of state.

Sep. 24, 2012 at 10:20pmsome of the youth really get it – i have seen it with my own eyes. Many of them are light years ahead of where i was when i was their age.
Conversely, some of the old generation are completely clueless – even the republican ones. They defend SS/Mediscare like their life depends on it and resist any form of improvement. They would rather stick the youth of this country with all their debt than begin to fix the problems

Sep. 24, 2012 at 9:13pmJust a suggestion. Withhold all taxes, save it. Pay it at the end of the year when they come looking for it. Shut off the flow of steady money. I’m not advocating not paying taxes. ;0- Just controlling when they get your taxes…….Just a thought. The life blood of government is YOUR money.

Sep. 24, 2012 at 10:28pmin that scenario, you know the public would demand government spend 10 times less. That wouldnt serve the interests of the democrat or republican parties – therefore they will never agree to do it

We should raise the voting age back up to 21.

Sep. 24, 2012 at 9:21pmI know plenty of people over 21 that are far more stupid……….Thats not the answer. Withhold your taxes, at least till the end of the year. Stop the steady flow of free money for the beast.

Oblamer voters mostly.
I agree. Ive had a similar thought for awhile. The one way to truly hurt is through
the purse. Nothing else is more effective. Im with you, I agree the government needs
a certain level of tax to conduct our business. But the one method to wrestle power
away from the elites is strip them of funding through a massive tax strike by the
american public.

Sep. 24, 2012 at 10:04pmTrue, stupidity knows no age.
But the cult of youth personality is a voting block that I wouldn’t mind seeing altered.
Keep in mind, the logical basis for lowering the voting age and amending the Constitution was because so many people under 21 were being conscripted to fight and die in an unpopular war. That basis no longer exists.
Obviously no one is going to advocate for the repeal of the 26th Amendment but we all KNOW it isn’t such a bad idea.
We have bigger problems….

There’s a very good chance Romney would have been ineligible to vote in 2009 – 2010 by that standard. The October surprise is just around the corner, Romney is going to be toast when the truth of his taxes finally comes out. Hint – he was granted special amnesty, wait until you find out why.
