  Gosh…, I am confused my your comment. Michelle Obama has declared that there is “an epidemic of childhood obesity” and is pressuring school systems to reduce the caloric values of the foods served to children. Perhaps you can explain the obvious contradiction here.
  
  While decent nutrition is important, in the end, the Feds should have no material part in the deal, aside from encouraging good habits, like say, publishing The Food Pyramid.
  
  I am of the opinion that the only way a person could starve to death in the U.S. is by hiding in a cave. I challenge you to find a contrary case, i.e., a case where a known starving person was allowed to expire. Otherwise, please inflate yourself with your own hot air and drift away.

  @JZS…before the food stamp program during the great depression and before, how many people that where in a state of the USA starved to death?? How many people just sat around and said, so sorry, just starve until the government provides you with a meal?? Churches and neighbors have always had each others back in this country. It is other countries leaders that can not and will not see the beauty built into the frame work the US Constitution provides for people to succeed and help others to succeed. People will feed themselves and others if freed from government restraints and not rely on the state to feed them…go back to the former USSR re-education summer camp..

You’ve allowed the babyboom generation the most spoiled generation ever produced in America to rule over you and subjugate your spirit for what they call the greater good. To understand them, all one must do is listen to the John Lennon song Imagine. This is where they want to take us all. Its getting hard to pay the electric bills lately, so we must cut back where ever and when ever we can, food is skyrocketing in price, gasoline too, and these guys want more of our money so they can FEEL good about spreading it around to others who for the most part do not do much to even try to earn or make their own ways in this land. Our strength lies in our independence not dependence.

A recent pro-fluoride article published by the industry-backed Wichita Eagle petitions Wichitans, who will soon vote on whether or not to fluoridate their local water supply, not to oppose the city’s upcoming fluoride measure based on the Harvard study because the study’s findings allegedly only apply to Chinese children. The piece encourages Wichitans to essentially ignore this and other science showing the dangers of fluoride, or at least pretend as though none of it applies to them.

  I have heard the flouride debate for quite a while and before California started voicing a concern over it.
  
  Sadly, most local people that are supposeds to be experts on the chemical and its impact either laugh off the question or just dont really know.
  
  Q: Is flouride really neccessary for teeth and is more harmful than good?
  Typical answer: Look at your teeth, isn’t that enough?
  Follow up: You mean like how people in the 50 and 60′s looked at DDT and how it made they floral and argriculture food less more bountiful and healthy looking?
  
  At this point, the assistants are looking at the dentists and the dentist is either at this point trying to move on looks at the ground and does that “I know better than you but cant prove it” laugh.
  
  Its a simple question… why not answer it to satisfy an uneasy patient?
  I’ve approached politicans one of them was Susan Collins. Her answer?
  “I’ll get back to you about that.”
  Said it right at my house…
