Republican Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan compared President Barack Obama to the replacement referees during night’s NFL game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers where a series of controversial calls — and one very egregious one at the end — by said referees led to a victory by the Seahawks.
“It reminds me of President Obama and the economy,” Ryan, and avid Packers fan, said with a smile. “If you can’t get it right, it’s time to get out.”
“I half think these refs work part for the Obama administration in the budget office,” he added. “They see the national debt clock starring them in the face, they see a debt crisis and they just ignore and pretend it didn’t even happen. They are trying to pick the winners and losers and they don’t even do that very well.”
Watch Ryan skewer the refs and Obama below:

Sep. 25, 2012 at 3:49pmIn the grand scheme of the Great Experiment, the executive branch is supposed to be the adult supervision where wisdom and experience restrain the spending exuberance of the legislative branch. Unfortunately Obama has exhibited neither wisdom nor experience, just ideological exuberance in his effort to redistribute our national wealth to other countries and increase the number of dependents on government at home, while reducing our influence abroad. Regan was the last adult to hold the executive office in this country. I’m NOT looking for more of Obama’s “I-Me-My” lies, distortions, and propaganda past this year. Votes have consequences. Obama has been a bad consequence. It’s long time past time to try someone else.

Sep. 25, 2012 at 3:04pmWhat is the most important happening in the USA today ? Not the destruction of our civilization by Barak Obama, but the NFL fiasco. I’m a football fan, but I like to think I have my ducks in a row, when it comes to what is important to my and everyone elses freedoms, as we have known them. Whether or not an official makes a bad call in a football game, will not affect my freedom of expression. If Obama is reelected, we will loose that freedom as well as most others. We will be forced to see Christians attackes, the name of God ridiculed, while possibly being threatened if we
have an opinion about Islam. As far as I’m concerened, football can be damned !

Sep. 25, 2012 at 2:40pmClearly Grean Bay worked hard to win this game. The rules & judges of the game caused them to not be successful. However they worked hard, prepared and started the game with an equal shot to win the game. Since they were not successful, our president should sign an executive order calling the game a tie. This would give everyone involved a fair shot at success at the end of the season. Then Green Bay could be rewarded for their efforts during this one game.

Sep. 25, 2012 at 2:03pmL O L to the 25th power! Finally Paul Ryan has made up for his lie about his marathon time. That lie really bothered me since I actually LIVE by Ayn Rand’s definition and description of HONESTY as can be found in the following placess: 1. On page 144 of the Centennial edition of her “For The New Intellectual” 2.On page 1019 of the hard cover or the paperback full size “ATLAS SHRUGGED” 3.On page 945 of the small print edition. It is part of Galt’s speech and starts with the words: “Honesty is the recognition of the fact that the unreal is unreal and can have no value, that neither love nor fame nor cash is a value if obtained by fraud–” and contains the words “…honesty is not a social duty, not a sacrifice for the sake of others, but the most profoundly selfish virtue man can practice…”
For those who are interested in resolving conflicts between Loving Jesus and Loving Ayn Rand, take action by Asking, “What is Eternitarian Integrationism?”
GOD BLESS AMERICA AGAIN! (This is the title of a country CD by Donny and Sandy which also has Sandy singing “God Bless the USA”. Donny who drove a truck had his retirement STOLEN by Jimmy Hoffa. For nothing but WIN WIN WIN WIN…get back to me and I’ll figure out a way to get one to you for NOTHING.)

Sep. 25, 2012 at 2:06pm@ J_ROOK It’s not about non-Union / Union it’s about competence. That last call last night was (Seahawks/Packers) was pathetic. Even many Seahawk fans were saying things like ” I need to go take a bath” it was so dirty. Carroll, the ditzy coach was hysterically happy but he showed -0- character. Real sportsmen want to WIN because they WIN, not because some temp. ref is incompetent.
@G.E.R. you are so very wrong. Ayn Rand’s only flaw was that she was an unbeliever. Born under communism I can understand that. That quote about mud underfoot is what YOU RADICAL COMMUNISTS types think of “the masses”. Rand encouraged people to think for themselves, be themselves, follow their dreams. “I will not live my life for any other man and I won’t expect any man to live his life for me” is more of her own philosophy. Being Catholics (both Ryan and myself) I’m sure we find great joy and contentment in helping others get to know God and living as God would have us live.
Since ATLAS SHRUGGED is one of the most popular books ever written, I’m sure there were many asking WHO IS JOHN GALT from the time they were 14-18 + in every Generation.
Her main focus in ATLAS SHRUGGED is the smarmy, sleazy, nauseating Harry Reid types (and Biden) who would do whatever their Satanic Boss (Obama) told them to do with no questions. Those are the “bad guys” in her book(s).

Ayn Rand, on her worst days, is far better than the maggots spawned from the hellhole known as the Democrappies Party. Rampant Capitalism is categorically better than any variation of Marxism (Socialism, Communism, Progressivism), but I can see where you would fear that. Progressives want the government to wipe their arses and warm their bottles; Rampant Capitalism forces the participant to move and operate on their own, making decisions that have real impact on their own well being. I can clearly see why you would shun that manner of responsibility, when the other option is the distended government teat.
Were she not an immigrant, she would have made an economically powerful president (and a first woman, to boot).

Oh, so this was supposed to be civil discourse? Your initial failed to build any illusion thereof.
On your age, I am near 30 and looking at a social security system that will not likely exist by the time I get to retirement age…if I ever get there. At this point, I am pretty sure I won’t live to see retirement for one reason or another. Same with Medicare.
Also, on the consideration of flakes and disturbing persons, I do not fear their ranks. The most effective persons I know at their chosen job are what normal people would classify as ‘flakes’ or ‘disturbing’. You worry over those who are different. I worry over the masses of those who seek to emulate others as a lifestyle. There is only the illusions of freedom in sameness.
Now, on to your points.
1. How someone destroys themselves is not particularly my concern, so long as it does not take someone else with them.
2. Abortion is not a problem I am concerned about at this time. Aye, it is a problem (it is soft-core eugenics in practice), but at this time it is neither lethal to this nation nor is it a systemic issue pertaining to the present glut of Marxists we have to deal with.
3. There are millions of atheists walking among us without causing any trouble or assaulting the religious majorities. The problem with their rank is in the Fundamentalist Atheists — those who assault other religions. Target them, not a helpful one.
End of my day. Have a good evening.

@ Pete
Human Trafficking is, as you suggest, down. The instigator of this change is, also as you suggest, due to Obama.
The REAL REASON Why it is down: Human trafficking in the United States is mostly focused on getting people INSIDE America. Since Obama’s unstated war on the economy has flat-lined American businesses from sea to shining sea, there is no need to traffic people into the country, as there is no prosperity in this nation that cannot be found closer to home for the trafficked parties.
Successes come in many flavors, and even a failure in one fashion can generate victories in a less-than-concerning side-quest. Of course, since you have adroitly declared yourself progressive, the forcible disassembly of the American economic juggernaut is also a goal shared between you and BO, thus I’m reasonably certain you will be celebrating that fact as well.
