Activist Gets in Physical Altercation While Trying to Spray Paint Over Anti-Jihad Subway Poster

An Egyptian-born activist was arrested in New York City on Tuesday after she was caught on video using a can of spray paint to deface a controversial subway station ad that is pro-Israel and anti-Jihad. And the entire incident was caught on video.

Mona Eltahawy was taken into custody for the stunt involving the ad that proclaims, “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man.”

The ad — the work of activist Pamela Geller — was originally banned by subway officials, but eventually allowed by the courts.

In the video, Eltahawy can be seen using a can of pink spray paint while trying to blot out the words. “Trying” is key word because another woman — who seems to be familiar with Eltahawy — almost immediately throws herself between the spray and the sign, preventing Eltahawy from completely covering up the words. The two women can be seen arguing and then even getting physical. Police eventually arrive and arrest Eltahawy as she demands to know the charges and claims her free speech is being violated [raw footage below -- content warning for language]:

If Eltahawy looks and sounds familiar, that’s because you’ve seen her before. But here’s the irony: You likely know Eltahawy because she claims she suffered at the hands of extremists last year during the fall edition of the Arab Spring. Back then she detailed an alleged violent and graphic sexual assault by Egyptian police:

Eltahawy said at the time not only was she sexually assaulted, but the assailants also broke both her arms.

As far as the latest incident, her Twitter account says she’s awaiting an initial hearing on charges of criminal mischief (via tweets from a friend who is sending messages on her behalf). The account also shows she broadcasted her intentions beforehand:

the way to get something like that taken down is to somehow convince a judge or jury that the sign is hate speech. if that is even possible. graffiti is a crime even if its on a offensive sign.

So let me see she was arrested in Egypt and now in the United States? Seems like she is a professional s**t stirrer. Who is paying her to go out and cause people to riot. People we need to be very careful and not let these people influence us. They are out to destroy our freedoms in the name of political correctness. Buyer beware! I think she was hoping that others would join her, we need to let them be handled by the authorities and we need to pray for our police and military. Lets not be sheeple because we will lose more freedoms and that is what these people want.

I liked Mr. Beck’s logic yesterday. He said he’s been told that all his broadcasts and phone calls are being monitored.
He said it didn’t matter if it was true or not; that he believed it.

  Beck is one of the last outspoken believers in American freedom and the truth in the media, given he had to start his own to be able too. I am sure that the US authorities, with whose present political ideas he differs with 180 degrees, not only monitors him and his program, but shall try to harass him as soon as they see one legal option in doing so. I would advise you to wait after seeing “The Project” show about the infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood before making a judgement and as Beck always says: Educate yourself !

The sad thing about this poster is that it is all true. Immediately after this video of Ms Eltahawy defacing the poster is an adverb for another video about a woman whose nose and ears were cut off by the Taliban. Savages? Yes, I think so.

The really sad, and revealing, part of this article is that at the end of the film they show blurbs for other films and one of those advertised was a story about a woman whose nose and ears were cut off by the Taliban. Savages? Yes, I’d say so.

  Isn’t that one of the final stages that the muslims will do, start a Jihad in the streets? That will be their final push, and Obama gave them an excuse that they can use to start it all. And just look at the major cities….where gun control is the strongest.
  
  All I can say is when the violence breaks out and the liberals/democrats see that they can no longer control the muslims as well as the other radical groups that they are manipulating…..don’t come running to those that have the means to protect themselves and have warning of this.
  
  By the way for those that will say if something like this happens the police will protect them….just remember that the police really don’t have to protect the “people” but are really there just to investigate after a crime happens. And when you see the riot police out in the cities….they are there more so to protect the property and not the individual. If you don’t believe, just wait and see….and remember this….when seconds counts, police are only minutes away.
