Beck Explores: Who’s Really Waging the War on Women? (Hint: It’s Not Republicans)

Glenn Beck Comments on Whos Really Behind the the War on Women | President Barack Obama

On Tuesday night, Glenn Beck tackled the so-called “War on Women” and the ongoing claims by Democrats that Republicans are restricting women’s rights. Rather than buying into these ideals, Beck posited another theory — that perhaps it’s the left that is going after females.

“I used to think all of that positioning was just about politics — but I’m actually starting to think there really is a War on Women — only it’s not being waged by the Republicans,” Beck proclaimed.

The host then went on to take aim at some comments that were recently made by the president’s deputy campaign manager, Stephanie Cutter. On Monday, she made a statement about women and their general interest in presidential politics — one that Beck derided.

“We’ll continue doing what we have been doing, trying to get the president’s message out on the ground. Whether it’s in the suburban areas of Northern Virginia, or Denver, Ohio, to talk about what the president wants to do in the future,” Cutter proclaimed on NPR’s “The Diane Rehm Show. “That’s the other thing that you find most often with women. They’re not really concerned about what’s happened over the last four years, they really want to know what’s going to happen in the next four years.”

The notion that women aren’t interested in what’s going on in the country (or what has gone on, rather) led Beck to chastise Cutter for her words, calling the notion she espoused “an insult…to women.”

“That’s right, women are just too disinterested or too feeble minded to analyze the past, to learn from it, and to make educated choices going forward based on those past experiences,” he sarcastically said. “Apparently women are only impulse buyers. They only make decisions in the now.”

Beck went on to say that, unlike Cutter, he knows that women are in-tune with what’s been happening in the nation. Rather than buying into the rhetoric, the host said that “they know the war on women is a bogus distraction from real issues that matter.”

Glenn Beck Comments on Whos Really Behind the the War on Women | President Barack Obama

Glenn Beck (Photo Credit: TheBlaze TV)

“They know this, because they are the ones who are most often in the trenches and have felt the pain of the last four years probably more than anyone,” he continued. “They are the ones that are shuffling the kids to and from practice, getting them to daycare…taking them to a friend’s house or going to the doctor’s office with them.”

From gas prices to education failures, Beck maintained that women are well aware of the challenges facing the nation as well as all of the events that have unfolded over the past four years. While discussing these issues, Beck also mentioned the morning after pill being offered in New York City public schools and Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s restrictions on formula feeding, among other purportedly troubling societal issues.

“Do they think moms aren’t concerned with a disturbing and growing pattern of a nanny state trying to steal all of their parental responsibilities?,” Beck asked. “What foods to eat. What subjects to learn. What foods to feed the baby.”

Beck noted that, all things considered, most women are certainly aware and paying attention to all that’s been unfolding in the U.S. The so-called War on Women is being waged by individuals who believe that females simply cannot think for themselves, the host contended.

“If this is the plan for the next four years — more of the same — women do care very much about the last four years,” Beck said.

Watch Beck describe these issues, below:

Ouch, the Beckerheads are turning on their god the almighty beck! Rightfully so. There is no war on women. The 3rd world and muslim nations have a war against women (religiously based of course!). In this country, it doesn’t exist. Women and men do the exact same thing as it pertains to work life or home life. Traditionally , the ultra right has felt the women’s place is in the home and except for the fanatics, that notion is also gone. The story is nonsense, as most of beck’s gibberish.

@Vaman…Yeah the left idea has worked out so well of using guilt to get woman out of the home and promoting every other place other than home is where women should be..and the fable about a woman place was only in the home being the position of conservatives is a fable created by the progressive left….

“We still have a lot left that we’re planning on doing…”
      ~ P. Ryan

Here’s the thing, Mr. Ryan. We the people already know what you and Romney plan on doing to our country and to us; and we already know what you have done with your 14 years in the House where you’ve received $2,436,000 in salary so far. (Named a Post Office, didn’t you?) All of what you will do is outlined in your arithmetic defying budget:

      You and Romney will
      —Voucher-ize (abolish) Medicare
      —Privatize (abolish) Social Security
      —Defund (abolish) Medicaid
—Raise taxes on the poor and middle class
—Lower taxes on the richest (including yourselves)
      —Increase the MIC budget
      —Launch a war with Iran
—Cut 2.1 MILLION American jobs by 2014
—Abolish the EPA and Dept. of Education
—Defund Planned Parenthood, education, Pell Grants
      —Abolish unions and minimum wage
—Repeal ObamaCARES, Roe v Wade, the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act
—On Day 1 you will “remove the requirement for insurance providers to proved birth control access” (as if you could, which you couldn’t even if you were elected VP, which you won’t be.)
—Will continue to vote against jobs bills for Veterans and jobs bills for we the people.
—And because you and Todd Akin wrote 13 of the most extreme anti-women bills in the Boehner House, and because you co-sponsored the “let women die” bill that would allow hospitals to deny emergency abortions even to save a woman’s life, American women

      @ useful idiots http://www.bing.com/search?form=MOZPSB&pc=MOZO&q=useful+idiots
Read up because this is you!

-Obamacare is eventually going to do away with Medicare & add death panels. Similar to the UK where my sister in law waited 12 months for a triple bypass. Doctor’s orders during the 12 month wait – Take it easy.
      - News flash – Social Security is broke. At one time there were 10 workers for each recipient. Now there are 2 workers per recipient. There is more SS money going out than coming in.
      - Medicaid will be dissolved under Obamacare
      - Taxes on the middle class and those that receive more from the IRS than they pay in will not increase. Some loop holes may be closed and they will be seen by everyone.
      - Lower tax rates increase revenue – verifiable – read up.
      - Launch a war with Iran

Wow, the rest of that is pure BS. Stop watching and listening to the propaganda channels and research something for yourself.

      @Lord
I know you guys spend all your time trying to find tenuous conspiracies against President Obama but try researching your own canidate a little. Here’s how the tax gimmick they are proposing works and I encourage you to check it out. It is true they are going to give a 20% tax break across the board rich and poor. However, they are going to eliminate the child tax credits (tax increase) and your housing tax credit (Tax increase). In most cases this will exceed the tax break they are offering and if you have alot of kids and a big house your tax increase will be huge.
Then they plan on cutting taxes on Capital gains completely. For example mitts tax rate would go from the 14% he owed this year to POINT.82 %. Thats less than 1% for those of you that don’t see the decimal in front of the 82. And we all know how the middleclass in this country is flush with capital gains. I suggest you put half the scrutiny on your candidate as you put on Obama and you be voting with us in NOV. So no mistake was made, you just were’nt aware of the details BTW, I feel your pain, sometimes the things these guys put out would make anybodies head explode. Especially when you find out the details. Now take a moment and go pull out your last years taxes and crunch a few numbers to see how much your taxes will go up.

Shut up Glenn. If your not a woman you have no dog in this fight. Why are a bunch of men trying to dictate what a women does with her body.

Men would never let women do this to them. Image if women dictated that men could no longer wear a rubber during sex. We outlaw condoms. There would perhaps be wide spread STD’s. Not to mention many unwanted, unplanned babies that you conservatives do not believe should have access to Health Care, Food nor a place to live if the mother does not have the means. Real women understand there is indeed a war against them. They feel it everyday while they are searching for a job, pumping gas as they watch the numbers turn over at a rapid rate or paying for their groceries. Real women also handle their OWN birth control issues in private. We are capable and proud and do not need a government to tell us how to feel or deal with reproductive choices! I feel sorry for the Sandra Flukes of this country, most of us are handling our own lives without the government!

The Sandra Flukes are not asking for government assistance. What they want is for their insurance companies that they pay for to cover birth contol pills as they should. They already cover viagra. Simple fairness. Tell us how you feel about making 30% than a man for the same job. I would like to hear your views on that.

SAYNOTOTEABAGGERS, Did you even bother do any research before tossing your speculations out there as supposed truth? Warren G. Harding (R) was president as the 19th Amendment was presented then ratified. He also had more Republicans in the Congress than usual at that time. And without them the amendment would not have passed the congress. Gaining the right to access credit was part of the same suffrage movement of the day, supported by none other than Republicans. Yes, some Democrats supported it too, but they still held the house and senate. Like the Civil Rights Bill of 1964, it was primarily many, many Dems that voted against it.
You might consider not trying to BS us. Next you will be saying that Lincoln was actually a Democrat. It was Republicans who supported rights for African Americans while the Democrats were against it. That is why then head of the senate LBJ refused to allow a vote on the then Eisenhower recommended Civil Rights Act of 1957. Women have always been used to better a males position. The Democratic party is the best at this. Women will be led around with a ring in their noses by Obama since he is a slick talker. This why B. Clinton was called in 2007. I read where Obama has 55% of the women sniffing after him – job well done. Those women that are educated, leaders, self supporting will not vote for Obama. The rest are the ones that when a male hollers jump they say how high. These women will also look up when you tell them the sky is falling.

Yeah, caught that early this morning in the news. Fox only of course, and I have been spot checking CNN and BSNBC. Some of this crap occurred during Clinton’s bid for his second term. Fortunately for me I was stationed 26 miles from my home front door step. During my lunch break I drove home and voted. I retired during a couple of years later, then watched the news during the Al Gore contest in Florida when he found a sympathetic state judge who threw out all of the state’s military absentee ballots. That is not uncommon during any election. I’ve often wondered how many times my absentee ballots were actually counted.

Hey PEEPEE, Most of those polls other than one or two, have been skewed towards the left by polling more Dem-wit likely voters than Republicans. One of the polls has been recently sued by the DOJ when it showed Romney ahead by 7 points just two weeks ago. Fortunately, the last I heard, Gallup still refuses to meet with administration officials.
Now, this could be a set up though. It might just help explain an 0bama win if that Spanish company owned by an 0bama campaign contributor, who did give the maximum amount. Rumors have been going around that the company is owned by Soros, but I really don’t believe that is true. But, I do believe the stories about the company’s owner is a close friend with Soros.

PEEPEE, I have been voting since Nixon’s second term. Something that I have witnessed in each and every election is that the Democrat is winning in the polls each and every time. With the exception of only one or two polling companies. So yeah, it is difficult to tell who will actually win considering the outcomes just since I have been voting. This will definitely be a close vote regardless, but do you actually swallow all of the same old, same old each and every voting season? Hmmm, then I would have to ask just how many presidential voting cycles have you lived through while politically aware?

War on women? That’s just another smoke screen put up by the dems to divert your attention from the fact that this regime is dismantling our republic and will be responsible for starting depression part two.
The regime will continue putting up smoke screens of non issues up until election day because Barry has no record to run on,the economy’s in shambles the middle east is on fire he’s killing the coal industry and we’re supposed to wring our hands over this ‘war on women’ lol,he is very desperate indeed.

The idea that there is a war on women in America is ludicrous. They have all the real power in America. We are a feminist society. For decades now the emphasis in our courts and in our schools has been directed at women. Less than a fourth of our boys live with their biological father. Our prisons are bulging with men from broken families with no fathers. More girls go on to college and more women start their own businesses. There are numerous government programs designed just to help women exclusively. Women completely run our government schools now. Women are allowed to have exclusive business organizations to promote only women. Men have no real power within the family. At any time a woman can end the marriage and get the house and the kids with the father left to visit on alternate weekends but still provide a paycheck to the wife and her new boyfriend. If the former husband doesn’t like this new arrangement he goes to jail, those jails bulging with men. Political Correctness is nothing more than the new power arrangement with women in the mix. The new liberalism in this country is nothing more than female thought. Most of the government handouts that have broken the country go to women. Now our own military, the last male institution is being taken over by political correctness and feminism. Women can even get away with the murder of their unborn child and nothing happens, the government will even help pay for it. A war on women in America, there is a war on men and fat

Very true. The men have been neutered and feminized and now they don’t know how to stand up for themselves. The “War on Men” began when women started demanding that men get in touch with their “sensitive side”, and “It’s OK for men to cry.” That has morphed into “metrosexuals” and “gender confusion”. NO WONDER! Give me a macho man over the gelding Chris Hayes any day!

Before the last year, I didn’t care enough about current events to ever get informed about them. I relied on my husband to tell me anything really important, and only informed myself enough to make good descisons at election times, which I consider a duty to my country.

Obama has changed that lax attitude all right. Cutter is right about one thing. I am concerned about what will happen over the next four years, and I want to make sure it’s not Obama in control.

You got to love it when old, white guys try to explain what women ought to believe and think. Yes, it’s really the Republicans who are on their side! No matter the Republican position on reproductive rights, equal pay, the opinion that raped women don’t get pregnant and so on.

Let’s do a spot check in today’s news and see how all this is working out for Republicans. “Obama leads 60 — 35 percent among Ohio women likely voters…” Okay, not to great there. What about another swing state, Florida? “Women likely voters back Obama 58 — 39 percent…”

The problem here is obvious. Rich, old white guy aren’t explaining well enough to women what they should think and believe. It’s simply a communication problem.

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) $193.07 Million (does not include wife’s income)
Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) $81.63 Million
Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) $76.30 Million
Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.) $65.91 Million
Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) $55.07 Million
Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) $52.93 Million
Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) $10.28 Million
Sen. Herb Kohl (D-Wis.) $9.23 Million

Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.) $7,41 Million
Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) $6.56 Million
Do they not count in your assessment, considering they are Democrats? Oh yeah, there are just about as many old white women who match in multi-million in financial assets. RJ, first, I think you’ve had a little too much coffee today. Second, in search of an argument, it seems you’ve taken my post literally. Mostly though, you don’t understand the “war on women” because you’re a conservative white guy who share the views of those who have declared the war.

That’s okay. I’m here to help. Here’s a couple of examples copied from http://alexleo.tumblr.com/post/30553490224/quotes-from-the-war-on-women

State Representative Alan Dick : “If I thought that the man’s signature was required… required, in order for a woman to have an abortion, I’d have a little more peace about it…”

Congressman Todd Akin on pregnancy resulting from rape: “It seems to be, first of all, from what I understand from doctors, it’s really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down.”

State Senator Glenn Grothman: “Women make less because ‘Money is more important for men’”

      Or here, watch this: http://www.takepart.com/video/war-womens-worst-quotes-voiced-women

You ought to at least pretend you understand the issue. And I recommend you switch to de-caf for the rest of the day.

JZS, Sorry, you in no way suggested that you were joking or sarcastic. Nor did it just seem that way. Oh, and I’m just a white guy who does not understand this war on women. Oddly, I’ve been married to one woman for a very long time and have plenty of respect for her. Furthermore, we can pay for her wants and needs as we should. My mother was something of a pioneer in her field starting back in the ’50s. Never heard her once complain of a perceived glass ceiling in her line of work. She rose to the point that in the late ’70s that she was hired by another company where she turned a small office around into a statewide organization. She passed away in ’96 and I still run into people who tell me about the difference she made in their lives. Don’t tell me that I don’t admire and respect a strong woman. Have known too many in my life, in my family, and careers. What I don’t respect are people like Sandra Fluke, who come from a middle class family, goes to a fine school, and wants all of us to pay for her whims and choices, good or poor. As 0bama said in one of his interviews with Jay Leno, is she in the Special Olympics or something? You can find quote in one of my posts above with a few of his other gaffes. As I pointed out above that Art Linkletter always said that Kids Say The Darndest Things. This also applies to adults and really fits politicians from either side and both sexes. Both Dems and Repubs say some damned stupid things, then there are a few Libertarians h

As a 40 year old woman, I care more about the countries economy and am better informed than my husband. I understand how much food has gone up when I go to the grocery store and buy the same things that I always have (which isn’t extravagant by any stretch of the imagination). Trying to keep a budget is very difficult.

To me the war on woman began with the “Woman’s Movement,” when woman were sold that they could have it all-career, marriage, children, friends, time to one’s self and that quality time with a child is better than quantity. I have watched many woman who spend little time with their children under the adage of quality over quantity and their children are being raised by school and day care, dropped off at 6 or 7am and picked up at 6pm. The “Woman’s Movement” to me is when government began taking over the raising over our children.

I agree. I appreciate the fact that now we have the option to work if we choose, and for the most part our pay is equal to that of a man’s for doing the same job. However, traditional family values and women’s roles have also been put down as being “demeaning” etc. We see the results of this with the disintegration of the family, the rise in crime, and the high dropout rate in the schools. Today the “Women’s Movement” has become a self-centered, “It’s all about ME” ideology more than actually being about freedom. For example: “It’s MY body”. (Who cares about the baby?), It’s MY career.” (Who cares about the family?) “It’s MY time for ME.” (ignore the kids, husband, etc.) “It’s MY money.” (not OUR money as a couple).

I think the Progressives and the Muslims will next work together (War on Women) to take away the freedoms that actually WERE earned by using our own religion (the Bible especially) against us. I saw this happen first hand with a fellow poster (Muslim?) right here on the Blaze the other day. BEWARE! (Remember how the Progressives feel that “Social Justice” is the “Christian thing to do”? Also, paying taxes is “Patriotic”.)

Sorry, but the War on Women is all on the Republicans. Just is. And you have idiots like Limbaugh to thank for it. Limbaugh and forced ******* probes and “legitimate” rape and plans to destroy Planned Parenthood and the fact that since the Tea party candidates have arrived in government under the pretense of fiscal restraint and smaller government, the only legislation they have passed is aimed at limiting a women’s right to choose.

And women know it. And they understand the irony and hypocrisy of a Mormon man telling women what to think.

The majority of real American women see the conservative right for what it is – a sexually repressed patriarchy. The fact that you’ve lived your entire life going along with it is the only reason you continue to support it. To do otherwise would require you to admit you’ve had the whole thing wrong all along, that you’ve wasted your life submitting to the demands and worldview of others.

But there’s good news! It’s not too late to repent. Jesus wants you to have a full and rewarding life. And you can. All you have to do is renounce the satanic injustices of right-wing extremists. Be your own woman!
