Libyan President Contradicts WH: Attack Was ‘Pre-Planned,’ Video Had ‘Nothing To Do With It’

President Obama’s outsized attempts at showing disgust at the controversial anti-Islamic film “The Innocence of Muslims” may have all been for naught, allegedly undertaken to stop future attacks of the kind perpetrated in Benghazi, may have all been for naught.

Why? Because in an interview with NBC last night, Libyan President Mohammed Magarief said the attacks “had nothing to do with” the video, and that in fact he was certain they were a pre-planned act of terror. The Washington Free Beacon caught video of Magarief’s appearance, as well as the following transcript:

CURRY: What is your evidence that it was a pre-planned act of terrorism?

MAGARIEF: Number one is choosing the date, 11th of September. It has all the significance. We take the facts about the way it was executed, you can see there’s enough proof that it is a pre-planned act of terrorism.

CURRY: Describe the attack based on your investigation.

MAGARIEF: It’s too early for me to give the details, but it was launched with a high degree of accuracy, which means the perpetrators must have had some kind of exercise on how to hit and launch these rockets.

CURRY: You’re confirming that rpgs were used in the initial attack.

MAGARIEF: And mortars.[...]

CURRY: Do you think movie had anything to do with the attack?

MAGARIEF: Not on this attack, it had nothing to do with this attack.

Magarief also said that the rockets and mortars were fired with such accuracy that they could not possibly have been used by an amateur – this attack had to be the work of someone with training.

am i the only one that feels that the WH caused more damage by telling musilins about the movie, it is strange they did not downplay the movie if it was so offensive –maybe hiliary is not running the show but her musilin brother hood side kick something is really strange about hiliary she looked awful something is not right

  I wouldnt get to hung up on “their honesty”…generally those moments are rare and far between. It may have been accident or an instance where there was a better offer from a backdoor deal, from another party.

  The Obama Administration came out approximately 2 weeks ago stating that the Libyan attacks were probably preplanned, and Pres. Obama is correct in stating the the offensive video did play a roll in the wider uprising in Libya and the Middle East because it’s release and subsequent viewing by those who dislike America’s ME policies was part of a propaganda piece orchestrated by the those that preplanned the initial uprising. The Administration has not implied that the entire uprising was caused by the video. It is important to note that many Libyans tried to come to the rescue of Ambassador Stevens, and many were killed in their attempt to help him and other Americans.

Everybody under the dsn says the video had NOTHING to do with the 9/11 chaos. Everyone except the Obama administration. Even Carney admitted the video had nothing to do with it. Yet Barry doesn’t want to admit fault or the truth (by fault I mean what he first sad was incorrect). this guy needs to go. Americans die and he won’t even tell the truth about that. I call that a traitor.

What will Obama gain from blaming the so called film, apologizing for the “horrors” America has done, and the need to tell the “future should not belong to those who insult the prophet”?
Isn’t that odd that the next day of his speech, other voices in the UN call for punishment to all those who insult Islam and the prophet?
It’s just like the gun control treaty he and Clinton couldn’t advance in he international assembly. They cannot take our 2nd amendment from INSIDE the U.S. so they tried through the UN, but couldn’t.
They cannot take our right of free speech INSIDE the United States, so they are trying to do it through UN. But God willing, they wont be able to reach their goal.

  I really don’t think that it was the MB. There is still too much turmoil in Libya, and the interim government wants to gain funding from the U.S. Honestly, I believe the attack was planned externally by either the Taliban, or al Qeada if not both. They slipped across the borders in more than one place, regrouped and with intel from certain Libyans formulated and made their attack.
  It’s 0bama, his administration, and especially the State Department who have brought the world’s attention to that obscure video afterwards making it not only the excuse then, but now it has become a real excuse for happened afterwards. Had 0bama not brought to anybody’s attention, I don’t think that most of this crap would ever have happened. That is what a cover up can cause.
