Photo of a Baby Doing a ‘Keg Stand’ at Tailgate Party Draws Outrage: ‘They Should Be Jailed’

Photo of Baby Doing Keg Stand at Arizona State University Draws Outrage, Laughs

(Photo via ABC15)

A picture of a baby doing what appears to be a keg stand– an act typically performed in college when two friends hold a person upside down while they guzzle excessive quantities of beer– has caused outrage with one woman even saying the perpetrators should be “jailed.”

Posted on thedirty.com, most are at least are agreeing that the picture is in poor taste or “just wrong.”

Fox10 News has more:

[It's] not clear if the child was actually drinking beer, but you can clearly see the nozzle in his mouth. Onlookers snapped photos as an adult held the child up for a “keg stand,” where a person is held upside down and drinks as much beer as he can.

According to thedirty.com, an ASU student, who was appalled, sent the picture in.

I just don’t see the joke in it at all,” says website creator Nik Richie. “People are really looking at this saying, even if it was a joke it is just poor taste and it is terrible parenting.”

Richie says the photo was taken while tailgating outside the stadium before Saturday’s game.

“If you are an ASU alumni, I know this is a party school and people look at ASU like this is what you do. It is fun and games. It is not.”

If this was intended to be joke, not many people are laughing now. ASU Police are investigating. [Emphasis added]

ABC15 asked a number of individuals to weigh in:

However there are also those who are taking the photo with a grain of salt– and a bit more humor.

Disagreeing with the woman who said “they should be jailed,” one commenter wrote on thedirty.com: “I doubt they actually gave the kid beer…Just a funny photo opp.  Everyone needs to stop being so serious!”

Another agreed, adding: “I doubt everyone around would be laughing if it was actually happening…Come on, people.”

What do you think?  Is the “baby keg stand” photo an innocent joke, or over the line either way?

It’s just a picture. Mohammed is a pig delta India charlie kilo, your free will is at stake. Israel is soon going to be tested. The big government cops are not going to protect you sheeple. Prepare to meet Jesus. The Jews are going to finally believe in him soon. Thank you god for sending him the first time. A Joshua moment is approaching. Take Jesus as your savior and you will be saved. Probably not many events like this would be happening if more people did. Even Muslims can be saved.

      I agree dude.

but This is a joke!! My goodness, if that kid is at a tailgate party with parents that actually take him places he is already doing a lot more then the MILLIONS of kids that dont do a single thing with their kids except accept their welfare check, because daddy didnt want anything todo with them.

This pic is a joke, the kid isnt drinking beer. No one would be taking pics or laughing if they were. If the parents and family can AFFORD to even goto a game, i would say this kid has a good family.

Those calling this child abuse are absurd.

PARENTS THAT ARE NOT SPENDING TIME WITH THEIR KIDS IS THE WORST KIND OF CHILD ABUSE!

Read these replies and it’s easy to pick out the humorless nanny staters. Your dad or uncles never let you have a few sips when you were young? You never used brandy instead of cough medicine? ( it works better) One reply states that underage drinking is running rampant!!! You mean just like it was 30 years ago, when I was young? Or 40 years ago when my brother was young?
Get over it, it is a picture, to which you do not know the context. the only mistake is doing anything questionable in public where a jacka$$ with a camera is everywhere.

Do you seriously think that there aren’t people that will give their kid’s beer? I don’t know how old you are. But, when I was a kid, it wasn’t unusual for a father to give his kid a sip of beer. Times and society have changed. But, not everyone has caught up. Have you never heard of people that are stupid enough to get their kids high? I’m thinking that you are the one that needs to “get real”.

It doesn’t matter whether the baby was drinking or not. It doesn’t matter whether it was a joke or not.

What does matter is that the authorities are now investigating and in this day and age, there is a very good chance that they might lose their child or have social services up their **** for the next couple of years. It’s not enough to ask whether or not you can. You have to ask whether or not you should. Is there anything about this picture that was so funny, it would be worth losing your child?

In our state we have a fine for giving alcohol to underage kids but they also have the option now to jail offenders as well, so did the kid take a drink? Most kids don’t like the taste of beer, but if they let him taste it they’d be going to jail here unless they are buds with law enforcement & then they just get the fine or a warning. We have our share of party schools, too & it’s such a waste considering these schools are part of the state university system & realize funding from the taxpayers. The hazing has gotten out of hand & kids are dying because of stupid stunts. I think the picture shows a lack of concern for the kid & that bothers me because the kid isn’t old enough to know better & it’s the parents’ job to protect him. Lousy job, Mom & Dad. If you want to give your kid a sip of beer in the privacy of your own home to satisfy his curiosity, then that is your concern, but this public op is unacceptable. This is a guys & gals of drinking age party & minors shouldn’t be participating.

Relax, they were goofing around as evident by the number of camera phones pointed that way. In addition to teaching your kids right from wrong, teach them how to cut up and have fun. If they cant make a fool of themselves and learn to laugh at their own stupidity, you can bet everyone else will learn to laugh at it.

This was nothing more than a funny picture the kid will probably want when he gets older. It’s just what dads think of to do when mom is not around. I doubt the kid was actually drinking beer. By the way, my grandpa used to send me for a beer out of the fridge starting when I was about 5. He let me take the first drink, because he put salt in his beer and it made it foam over if you didn’t take a couple drinks out of it. I turned out fine, not an alcoholic.

Really? So your dad never gave you a sip of beer as a kid? I guess I am just from a different era and I am only 52! My dad gave all 5 of his sons occasional sips of beer as children and while some wound up drinking more than others throughout their lives, it wasn’t because of that. Case in point, I don’t drink at all, never did. If it was proven they let the kid get smashed, then yes, there needs to be charges brought. But to just give a few sips, come on, get a life.

Pretty much every ill can be traced to the AGENDA of dumbing down the populace so not only do they want big government but they will not survive without cradle to grave government care. Raising a generation so dumb they can’t govern themselves, they can’t critically think, they can’t serve on juries competently and can’t vote intelligently. Useful idiots for the state – A complicit media, captured Hollywood and forcing normalization of homosexuality and all manner of perversion, war against Judeo/Christian values, pledging allegiance to the earth rather then the flag of the US and the Republic for which it stands, environmentalism a tool of totalitarianism, a corrupt, amoral, godless generation and its not their children – for the most part they abort theirs – its co-oped indoctrinated “our” children and much more and I have tried to post links for 2 days on various articles on the Blaze and for some reason they are not going through…for the life of me I don’t know why this would be censored –it is every bit as germane as 2016. so

Depends on whether they’re actually giving the kid beer or just taking a funny picture. Just last weekend I was at a birthday party sitting at my brother in law’s basement bar and my 2 year old granddaughter came down and climbed up onto a bar stool. I snapped a pic of her sitting at the bar with an empty beer bottle in front of her. I guess I’ll be jailed next.

But if they are actually having the kid guzzle beer, well then that changes things, although wanting to jail them is a complete overreaction.

Because they find it funny? I mean, it’s because it’s inappropriate that it’s funny. I know there’s a lot of awful parents out there, and who knows, maybe these parents are awful themselves. Or maybe they just have a sense of humor. But I think it’s this lack of trust in our fellow man that leads people to this mentality that SOMEONE needs to step in and do something, with that someone always being government. Again, if the kid was actually chugging the beer that would be a different story. But we don’t know one way or the other from just this picture. My benefit of the doubt falls with the apparently radical idea that most parents can be trusted to not actively screw up their own kids.
