What Video Caused Joe Scarborough to Break Down Laughing and Declare Mitt Romney a ‘Horrible Politician’?

Joe Scarborough during a Wednesday broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” broke into a fit of embarrassed laughter after co-host Mika Brzezinski introduced a clip of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney leading what looks like a rather unsuccessful “Romney-Ryan” chant at a campaign stop in Ohio:

“Oh, sweet Jesus,” said Scarborough as he buried his face in his hands.

“What’s wrong with those people?” asked co-host Brzezinski.

And while MSNBC contributer Ed Rendell looked on with amusement, Scarborough, a frequent critic of Romney, took the opportunity to once again declare the GOP presidential hopeful a “horrible politician” and “one of the worst.”

Final Thought: We thought we’d point out real quick that Brzezinski didn’t think former Gov. Jennifer Granholm’s Democratic National Convention speech was in any way embarrassing or unbecoming:

Joe Scarborough Calls Romney a Horrible Politician After Watching Video of Candidate Leading a

No no no! I watched this event live on Foxnews.com. CONTEXT is missing!!!! The crowd had been chanting “Romney! Romney! Romney!”, then, after Mitt talked about something that Paul had said, they broke in to “Ryan! Ryan! Ryan!” Mitt was SAYING (not leading) that they should be chanting “Romney! Ryan! Romney! Ryan!” He wasn’t LEADING the chant… he was saying they should combine chants. This sucks.

Many will see the edited video, and not bother to follow up because the news cycle is like 1/4 of a day. The “journalists” are willing liars and accomplices for the current administration. The only job he has ever had other than speech writer, ergo a politician. In fact that would make him a career politician. Are you people really this lame. Yeah, he’s that truthful politician that cheats and steal votes, then helps to put rules in place to cheat and steal votes forever, against the voices of the people. Dems are no better, they did the same at their convention. The GOP will pay a huge price for what they did, with so much honor and fair play, it is going to make everyone’s head swim in November.

I just cannot believe that so many on this site are so blinded that they do not see what has happened. They, the Republicans and the Democrats, took all our voices away this year, with no concern over the freedoms of their constituents. Please, I had more faith in the GOP, but I guess I was wrong. Well, video’s don’t lie, and at the time Romney appeared in the video, no one was chanting anything until he said something about Ryan, then the crowd started chanting Ryan, Ryan. That’s when Romney said, “Wait a second. Romney/Ryan, Romney/Ryan, Romney/Ryan”. So, although people may have been chanting Romney’s name before the video started, they weren’t at the time he said, “Wait a second”. The video clearly shows that they were only chanting Ryan, Ryan.

What’s funny about it isn’t because it was a half-hearted chant, but that Romney, when he first heard that they were chanting only Ryan’s name, said, “Wait at second, it’s Romney/Ryan”. That’s what Joe and Mika were laughing about. It made Romney look uneasy and perhaps even a bit childish because he was unhappy that the crowd was not including his name in their chant. Whether or not this is really what Romney felt matters little when a candidate’s image and body lanuage is scrutinized 24/7.

Reminds me of my younger days watching wrestling when the The Rock would lead the crowd in a name chant. For fake wrestling it’s fine but for the presidential candidate it is in fact hilarious.

MSLSD is still a total FAIL!!! They try to be relevant but they’re just not! Remember this is the network that has the goofball that has a thrill run up his leg every time he hears Obama speak! Really? Get a life! Mitt Romney was out working and building a substantial portfolio while these clowns were too busy drinking and probably trying to cop a feel in college or at whatever news desk they happened to be working years ago. Losers!!!

romney is the one saying he is proud to be the grandfather of obamacare , now saying obama never raised taxes , said he is only interested in tax cuts for the middle class now was pro choice , pro gun control and pro individual mandate b4 he looked around and found a group of gullible cavemen that would believe he is conservative and carry him to the whitehouse , every friggin day is an embarrassment for romney and you people should be ashamed of what your party has become , an insane asylum

Mika’s daddy was ex-KGB. I wish we could kick her *ss back to her precious, idealized, commie USSR. The reality is that she’s would have to strip for a living back in Russia, since there are no jobs for big mouth communists in Russia. They’re more capitalist than we are. Way to go Russia, you learned from the best. We WERE the BEST once upon a time thanks to people like our Prez and Mika.

Oh so Romney’s cheerleading credentials are now important to the voter?
I don’t care if Romney can lead a cheer…I care about whether he can lead this country out of the zombie-like state it’s in today under Obama’s “rule”. If I want cheerleaders I’ll watch NFL. Thanks anyway “Joe”.

Agreed, If I want cheerleaders, I want them with tight-toned female bodies wearing skimpy tops and short pleated skirts (sorry if that seems sexist, but sometimes the truth isn’t pleasant), and NOT a man in a suit…

I’ll go stare at the sidelines when I need my “cheer” fix….. And look to Romney when I need someone to help lead us away from the Obamanation….

Agreed, issues are the most important factor, but people in general will vote for someone who is “likable”. thats part of being a politician, getting people to vote for you. romney is bad at that, and so, he will get his a$$ handed to him in a few weeks, and we will look forward to 2016. HOPEFULLY, we have a decent candidate by then.

I have a feeling you may be right Clive, but don’t forget the important caveat that: “We hope/assume that there will BE an election in 2016″…. If Obama gets re-elected, I am not sure there will ever be presidential elections again.

      swamp_donkey,

I never said Romney was a Conservative.

We have two choices come November 2012:

Obama: Who’s policies and Presidential Decrees (Dictatorship) will be on steroids, because he has nothing to worry about in his “Last” four years in office. He will bypass Congress to achieve his goals, and Piss on our U.S. Constitution because he has nothing but contempt for it and America…….

Romney: Has some business sense, how to manage money. Hopefully get our economy back on track. His values ARE different than Obama’s.

I am NOT a Romney fan (I like Paul Ryan). He was NOT my choice choice during the primaries (my choice dropped out). HOWEVER!!! He is what I am stuck with because there is NO WAY IN HELL I am voting for Obama, no way…….
