Have You Seen the Hilarious Tribute Video to the NFL’s Replacement Refs?

Now that the National Football League has resolved its pension benefits dispute with the NFL Referees Association and the professional refs are returning to the gridiron, a few fans felt it was necessary to pay tribute to the short, albeit memorable, reign of the the replacement officials:

The video, which, by the way, is totally playing off that tearjerker Sarah McLachlan “Animal Cruelty” video, showcases the greatest moments in the whole replacement ref ordeal. The fights, the confusion, the anger — it’s all here:

I liked the replacement refs. For one I like to see a bunch of over paid whiney coaches loose their cool on every play. Two I like to see over paid whiney players jump and down arguing on every play. Three the since that something odd might happen, it was adding some real interest to every play. And four you got to admit it was interesting to watch. Now when the regular refs blow a play just what are these prima donnas going to do? The replacement refs were cool.

Seriously!! We are discussing replacement refs?!! With all the important things going on in the world we are going to talk about all the union morons in the NFL? We are one step away from Rome. Games and bread for all.

So true, one ambassador an three other Americans killed and we were told it was because of a film no one was going to watch. Obama lied, four people died and we are fed some BS about some film. And why isn’t the MSM on this? The replacement refs are more important. Football and beer.

Dont blame the replacement refs…they never asked for this in the first place. They were thrown to the wolves so to speak. Do you all realize what the real refs were asking for? Can anyone say greeeeeeeeeeeed??? I can remember lots of total crap calls for the regular refs and I can’t wait for those a holes to make a blatant blown call.

Sorry not to see Roger Goodell’s picture at the end – bye bye Roger.
Not sorry to see him stay.

The one I wanted to see was when the Cowboys were playing Tampa last week and the official throws his hat in the end-zone just as I think it was Austin was making his cut, he steps on it, slips and falls down…that was awesome

This is by far the strongest sign that the world will end in 2012 as the Mayan calendar indicates and also supported by Mayan carvings of humanoid beings that look like NFL players and referees in a cataclysmic battle that initiates a global thermonuclear war.

LOL, Back in Dec 93 when I landed at O’Hare. The Heisman Pick show was on. I rushed to the next ticket agent who was in an obvious good mood at the time, so I asked, just where is this Joe Swerski guys anyway? He let out a belly laugh, then looked up at my cap and howled out “Roll Tide!” He and I BS a moment and he mentioned that he was ticked that he got stuck working so that he could not watch the Heismans. Just a few yards away was an open area bar and restaurant. I sat down to a cold beer where I could watch the show, and when something new came up I stepped over to share the info with that guy. He told me it helped make for a better night. That danged Miami quarterback won that night and afterwards they all shot their mouths off for almost a month about how they were going to romp Bama for the Championship. I still have my ’93 season Alabama Championship cap hanging in my den.

Not my video. It was done by someone at a radio station in Minneapolis. I thought the lyrics were really funny. Much more imaginative than this other one.
