Obama Invokes ‘New Economic Patriotism’ in Latest Ad

Perhaps in response to the fact that voters care more about the economy than they care about whether 31-year-old college students have access to free birth control, the Obama campaign on Wednesday released a two-minute video featuring the president discussing “new economic patriotism”:

“It’s time for a new economic patriotism. Rooted in the belief that growing our economy begins with a strong, thriving middle class,” the president says in the video that, oddly enough, won’t be airing in Wisconsin or North Carolina.

We suppose the president refers to his “economic patriotism” as “new” because, obviously, he’s not opposed to adding trillions of dollars to our national debt. Four years ago, you may recall, he thought it was “patriotic” to oppose this sort of fiscal insanity. But that was then, this is now. Out with the “old” economic patriotism and in with the “new.”

“Read my plan. Compare it to Governor Romney’s and decide for yourself,” the president concludes.

  I love how the article about how America is now a huge energy producer and how all energy avenues have grown and reached record levels but for some reason…..no comment section. HMMMmmm how strange.   SteveTheRealist. the oil production is up DESPITE the Obama Administration. They have cut leases on public lands to zilch. All but killed the oil production in the gulf. Not allowing the pipeline from Canada. Do more research!

His previous economic “Plan” was the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

1. The Democrat controlled congress didn’t bother reading that before they voted for it.

2. Obama didn’t bother reading it before he himself signed it into law.

He has a LOT of nerve asking us to read things now…Maybe he will start following his own ethics and transparency standards BROKEN PROMISE and allow 5 days of public review online for his new plan????????

  You are right, I am glad I make less money now because I might have just blown the extra cash on Health Insurance. But now I get to look forward to paying a $2K penalty and get nothing for it in return. Or, I can pay $15K for health insurance which may or may not provide for care…..it all will depend on a 15 member board on non-elected officials who will decide if I should live or die.

Isn’t this what he said last time? Exactly what he hasn’t done in four years. He doesn’t say how he is going to accomplish all this and certainly left out all the taxes that come with his Obamacare.
