‘Wake the F**k up!’: Here’s Samuel L. Jackson’s Profanity-Laced, Pro-Obama Ad (Featuring a Kid Cursing)

Actor Samuel L. Jackson is known for his sharp tongue and a penchant for profanity. Merging these skills with his fame, he’s put together a pro-Obama ad that’s sure to capture attention (the clip was teased a few weeks back, but has now been released in full). Reflecting a Dr. Seuss-like structure, the video follows the story of a young girl named “Susie” who’s desperately trying to get her family to “wake up” and support President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.

Throughout the clip, entitled, “Wake the F**k Up!,” Jackson delivers anti-Romney lines, while supporting little Susie in her efforts to rally her family members to the polls for Obama. Following the pattern of a children’s book, Jackson, who also narrates the story, relies on rhymes to tie together his anti-Republican sentiments.

“Sorry my friend, but there’s no time to snore, the out-of-touch millionaires just declared war; on schools, the environment, unions, fair pay,” he tells Susie’s parents in the video. “We’re all on our own if Romney has his way. He’s against safety nets. If you fall, tough luck. So I strongly suggest you WAKE THE F**K UP!”

Jackson talks to other members of Susie’s family, too, tailoring his anti-Romney message to each of them. The New York Post reports:

Jackson also explodes on the little girl’s grandparents on the future of Medicare, saying, “Hell no, it can’t wait. Your lives will be affected. Romney and Ryan will gut Medicare if they’re elected. Ask the fact checkers. Those two are fact duckers . . . SAY HELL NO, MOTHERF–KERS!”

Susie’s older brother also gets an earful from Jackson: “How about that student-loan overhaul? It’s going to save you thousands of bucks. Mitt’s gonna cut that s–t in a second. WAKE THE F–K UP!”

And Susie’s teen sister is told: “A vote for Romney is a vote to have Planned Parenthood cut. Listen to your little sister. WAKE THE F–K UP!”

In the end, the overall theme is that Democratic voters aren’t as enthusiastic about Obama in 2012 as they were in 2008. Rather than sitting back and remaining spectators, Jackson pushes for people to get motivated.

In the end, Susie puts her head out the window and screams the signature line, yelling for everyone to “wake the f**k up!” While the version of the video that is making its way around the Internet blocks out the curse words, an official version of the video shows the little girl actually saying the F-word.

  Notice all the subjects in his little “commercial” are white. He portrays them as ignorant and clueless, except for the little girl who probably understands politics about as well as he does. He’s not only off the reservation in his grasp of facts but implicitly racist in his message.

  It’s hard for me to dislike Sam Jackson, because of his role in Pulp Fiction. My favorite part of that movie is when he tells the robber to get his wallet out of the bag, and the robber says “which one is it?” and with a You got to be kidding me if you don’t know” tone Sam says “The one that says Bad Mother F’er on it.”
  
  In a socialist world Sam, there can be no “Bad Mother F’ers” no one can be “badder” than anyone else.

  Let’s see, how could the right make something as ridiculous? Oh, they did have Clint Eastwood talking to a chair.
  If by awesome you mean pretty damn funny in it’s absurdity, then I agree. Jackson has every right to use his time & money to voice his opinion. Gotta love free speech (let’s leave the zealots out of the argument for now). And I can laugh at him without fear of serious reprisal.
  Here’s my question: If Jackson is so concerned about all of these demographic groups, what is he giving directly to them? Telling us we need to “wake up” & do as we’re told isn’t really putting one’s money where one’s mouth is. I’m all for helping people who need it. I’m not so much for enabling folks or screaming at them while using the politics of fear. Jackson is absurdly rich… & I’m sure he is taxed like a mo fo before he pays people to figure out ways to protect his wealth. Does he give enough, or is he given a pass because he carries the right brand of water?
  There should be SOME support to those who need it thru no fault of their own. I’m not for a suicide pact that means I have to scrape by while propping up the junkies & slugs so Jackson & his ilk can sleep a little more soundly.
  This whole display was a call for the audience NOT to think. Shut up & do as your told: Vote progressive or Whity will f’ you up. Yep. That’s funny.

Watched “The Project” this morning. At the conclusion I found myself praying that God would protect my country or at the least wake enough people to see what our government is doing to us. Fellow citizens I beg you to pray for our country, for once we lose, not only will we lose the freedom our founders so valiantly fought for but our very foundation of faith will be in jepoardy. We cannot afford to be spectators any more. We must get involved! Our country is crying for help and it needs us all. Democrats, Republicans, Independents this is still our country! I beg of you all to come together for this worthy cause. I pray God will move you and bless this land. I will be by your sides protecting our Constitution in whatever way I can.

We who beleive in the ONLY GOD know HE is always watching and listening. I served from ’78-83 ( involuntary extension for a year) and we saw this same ugly head pop up there- it is so much worse now, since it has breached the halls of some of the highest levels, i.e. D.O.J, State Dept., F.B.I., on and on; what our people must realize is that we must do all that we can as a United States of america. See, this enemy thinks that we do not have the ‘cajones’ to stand and fight, and maybe some don’t. but let me tell you, Jesus teaches us to turn the other cheek, but also tells us that it is lawful to DEMAND an eye for an eye, but only as long as that demand is a righteous claim. I know that we have that righteousness, and I also know that America will not fail, after all, our society is built on the morals of the HOLY BIBLE, even if there are forces trying desperately to steer us away from those tenets. Forces like abortion, progessives, many ‘democrats’, and especially those in education. This last may be the most important. Early life

Jackson was born in Washington, D.C.[2] He grew up as an only child in Chattanooga, Tennessee with his mother, Elizabeth Jackson (née Montgomery), who was a factory worker and later a supplies buyer for a mental institution, and his maternal grandparents and extended family.[3][4] His father lived away from the family, in Kansas City, Missouri, and later died from alcoholism; Jackson had only met his father twice during his life.[3][5] Jackson attended several segregated schools[6] and graduated from Riverside High School in Chattanooga. Civil Rights Movement involvement

After the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., Jackson attended the funeral in Atlanta as one of the ushers.[10] Jackson then flew to Memphis to join an equal rights protest march. In a Parade interview Jackson revealed: “I was angry about the assassination, but I wasn’t shocked by it. I knew that change was going to take something different – not sit-ins, not peaceful coexistence.”[11] In 1969, Jackson and several other students held members of the Morehouse College

  And you didn’t build it by yourself. I would rather tell people that the progressive tax system allows 49% not to pay federal income tax is perverse. It is set up to divide the classes a flat tax would eliminate this divide. So the problem is decades of big government dependence and Mitt happen to point this out as a fact.   Let me see if I got this right ENCINOM/MONICNE/SLEAZY HIPPO/ ad nauseum….Romney is supposedly going to ignore “half the country” while you choose to ignore the fact that the workforce has shrunk under Obama, indeed less Americans work today, unemployment has been above 8% throughout the empty chair’s entire tenure.
  The underemployment rate the highest since WWII. GDP at a snail’s pace. Durable goods sales down 13.2%. Middle class salaries down under Obama. The empty chair has added nearly $6 trillion to the debt after pledging in February of 2009 to halve it by the end of his first term…we can go on but you get the picture ENCINOM/MONICNE/SLEAZY HIPPO/ad nauseum….
  
  So if Romney’s ignoring “half the country”. Obama’s been ignoring the other half..the most productive half.
