Whoopi Goldberg ‘Bleeped’ During Heated Debate With Ann Coulter: ‘If You’re Gonna Talk About Race…Know What You’re Talking About’

An uncomfortable situation unfolded on “The View” set this morning when co-host Whoopi Goldberg confronted conservative author Ann Coulter. Goldberg demanded that the commentator tell her how much she knows “about being black” and later proclaimed that Coulter’s “facts are a little shaky.”
Appearing on the show to discuss her new book, “Mugged,” Coulter detailed her reasoning for writing the book, while defending Republicans against common Democratic talking points about race. Her comments were apparently so infuriating to Goldberg that the network was forced to bleep out the co-host.
“What I’m trying to say is race-mongering has been very bad for America,” she said. “Liberals use it to promote causes that have nothing to do with blacks and, in fact, harm blacks.”

Goldberg simply couldn’t handle Coulter’s stance on race relations, so she interrupted, telling the fiery conservative, ”If you’re going talk about race, at least — at least — know what you’re talking about.”
Coulter attempted to cut through the chaos, responding that “Mugged” is “not a book about black people” and that it is, instead, “a book about white liberals.”

Posted on September 27, 2012 at 3:40pmJOHN_FREE, While surfing the channels back when Maude Behar still had her talk show on CNN Headline News I stopped a couple of times when she had Anne Coulter on. Really stunned me at the time, but Maude claimed that even though the two of them differed on politics, they were actually friends. The two interviews that I saw went rather smoothly. Very surprising to me. I guess Anne must feel somewhat comfortable going on the View. I’d rather watch than when O’Reilly is on. For some reason he can shut them down. Maude just sits there looking all p i s s e d off and sulking. Baba Wawa will occasionally ask a question, but can be condescending, while Whoopie actually behaves herself. Its rather funny. No, I never watch The View on a regular basis, but will when I know O’Reilly is on. Many here do not like him, but he really can cut these women off at the knees.

Whenever I watch Liberals who are supposedly debating, their responses so often highlight that they never try to understand the opposing view. Sometimes they even allow their opponent to have their say, but when it is the Liberal’s turn to respond again, it’s obvious that he/she will not be swayed; even when it’s being pointed out that if they are wrong, it could mean their own destruction. They just will not try to see the other side. This same thing applies to the non political in this country who don’t pay attention. 10% of this country are beating their heads against the wall trying to save the rest from themselves. It gets frustrating.

That’s like saying we shouldn’t bring up “Islamic terrorists”…I have absolutely NO “white guilt” anymore after the O.J. trial, because prior to it I believed black people would stand up for what was RIGHT (I was young and naive). That trial opened my eyes. So, I will never shrink from the fact that black people are just as racist as anybody else…and further more, they should own it! While not a huge fan of Ann Coulter, I think she handled herself very well during the process. They accused her of going back to the past and she simply responds, “I only went back to the past because it was brought up.” They accuse her of supporting the minority voter suppression, and when she points out the facts of a Democratic Legislature is the first one to pass Voter ID’s and they immediately say “yeah, but…” and then scatter on to other subjects. The ninnies on the View are just like everyone has said, “cackling hens”.

Conservatives gave blacks the vote, voted for more for 1964 Civil Rights Act than democrats, and there are very few conservatives that stand out as segregationist. Democratic presidents Wilson and Johnson were liberal and pro-segregation. Even James Earl Ray, MLK’s assassin, supported a democrat for president. Ann Coulter is accurately talking about what really happened. She is correct.

Every seen at those people in African countries where there are few white people helping them, overwhelmed and trying to distribute the stuff (food for instance) and that long line of black people. You don’t see black people stepping up to help with the distribution. They just sit there, waiting someone to hand them something.

Like an earnest dope, I did my due diligence, gathering serious research on the subject and reading non-anecdotal evidence like polling data on journalistic attitudes.
Much of that suggested the media is a pretty bourgeois, fiscally conservative bunch with a deep tendency to genuflect to power and protect the status quo.
After some initial fencing, I started laying out my data and the citations, asking Coulter how it squared with her thesis that we’re all socialist stooges.
She swatted it all aside, DECLARING HERSELF UNINTERESTED IN SUCH FACTS and went on the attack. She might as well have called me a big stupid poopy pants. That’s pretty much how the rest of the interview went.

It is then reinforced at public school (remember “Barak Husain Obama UMM UMM UMM skit with the little kids?) and then it is further indoctrinated when those children attend college. i have been a prof for 15 years and taught at different kinds of schools some of which were supposed to be conservative leaning but most of the faculty are to the left…and so JULIA grows up and lives her whole life in a liberal fog. the truth eats away at the edge of her psyche but she pushed it away to stay in the mediocre life of handouts where the government is her husband and she raises the next generation to be vote-slaves to the Democrats just like she has always been.
