You Have Never Seen a Touchdown Pass Like This

I’ve been following sports for a long time, and I’ve never seen anything like this.

A video posted by the Purdue University intramural sports league captures what words don’t do the best job of describing: in short, it’s a backwards, behind-the-back, 30-yard touchdown bomb. Yes, you read that right. And since that doesn’t really do it justice, here’s the video:

And in case there are those of you doubting the reality of the pass, know that it aired on ESPN’s SporsCenter as its top play for Wednesday.

The quarterback responsible for the play is Brady Cronk. His Twitter account says he used to be the quarterback at Seeger High School in Indiana, and a follower tweeted out that he also is or used to be the team’s quarterbacks coach.

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

    Awesome vid.

    I hope you get enough hits to pay for college.

    Awesome pass.

    Kind of weak really. It only worked because the defense just stopped playing. The whole thing looked rather staged.

      not rather staged, but carefully planned and rehearsed

      I say most likely fake. It’s the YouTube generation. All they do anymore is videotape themselves doing something crazy hundreds of times until they get it “on tape.” Then they can get on Sportscenter or have a million youtube views for their 5 seconds of fame.

      ps. technically, this is not “behind-the-back.” he is spinning.

      @AAARONKCMO

      No I’m still saying staged. The defense makes no effort whatsoever to play defense. They move a couple of steps and then just stand there watching. This was a fabricated moment, not something that happened within the flow of a real competetive game.

      Exactly, if this happened in a real game then we’ve got something, otherwise, rather lame. Big deal, the qb spins and chunks the ball down the field. Who in their right mind (who wanted to win) would actually do this in a game? Ha! And the Blaze puts the most sensational headlines on the most unexceptional videos. It’s like people now days calling everything “Epic.” What do you call something actually worthy of the term? Sorry, had to rant. Celebrate mediocrity!

      I too believe it was staged, but not just staged, carefully planned and rehearsed

      @shogun

      I would have no problem making that throw. It didn’t have to be accurate at all, it just had to be long enough, and it wasn’t that long. I could probably make that throw between my legs and I don’t even play football.

    It was beneficial to watch the skillful Brady Cronk, frame by frame. He’s obviously done this many times before, and might have eyes in the back of his head.

    Pharmer sez that if Mr. Cronk wants to become an amazing football sniper, he’ll be able to hit a small target with his spinning back pass if he brings his head around faster and leans a little less during his spin. A little ‘me ashi te’ theory there……. Consider working with various other projectiles.

    ?????

    Because it aired on ESPN, that makes it real?

    And because Obama appears on CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC that makes all his lies real??

      Sad to say, I read right through that line until scrolling down and noting your comment. Well stated! We’re all a bit brainwashed when we feel we need to lean on the media to emphasize the veracity of something said or seen.

    that was seriously lame. does the guy have shoulder problems or something? i’m sorry but that guy was so wide open that my grandmama could have hit him for a TD. can’t they get a QB who can throw the ball correctly?

    Hey Steve, Real Americans have a name for the current President also, actually several, but Anti-Christ seems to fit him best. Free Speech man, deal with it.
    On the Subject, I’d really like to know how the hell he chunks it that far backwards. He’s obviously practiced the delivery but Damn, with accuracy too! Amazing throw!! Now lets all get a cup of coffee and maybe later, I’ll share a nudie pic of some females I know, hope the life alerts hanging off their necks dont cause you to lose focus, become a distraction!
