American fast food chains are booming abroad. But don’t expect your typical stars and stripes fare in these joints. The free market has rendered the fare of Pizza Hut, McD’s, BK and Wendy’s almost unrecognizable. The saddest part? Some of this stuff looks AMAZING!
KFC:
Egg Custard Tart (Asian markets)
We Love Them!
Fish Doughnuts (Singapore)
Shrimp Stars (Singapore)
McDonald’s
Are you in the McMood? (Netherlands)
Something tells me this is not proper Spanish (Sweden)
These are actually delicious (Germany)
People still say ‘Sultan?’ Awesome (Croatia)
Germany just gets the best of everything
But of course! (UK)
Not fair! (Spain)
Even Noodles! (Austria)
But we don’t think you should eat any of these here
Pizza Hut!
The Actual Cheeseburger Pizza (Turkey)
Hot Dog stuffed crust (UK)
There are no words (Middle East Region)
Burger King!
Love windows 7 (Japan)
Pork Sausage & fried egg (Hong Kong)
Wendy’s!
Truffle Grilled Chicken (Singapore)
Lobster & caviar burger (Asian Markets)
Foie Gras Burger (Japan)
The Black Bun Collection!
Squid Ink burger (Burger King, Hong Kong)
Yin Yang burgers (McDonald’s, China)
Darth Vader Burger (Quick Burger, France)
We…
let…
this…
…happen.

Sep. 28, 2012 at 3:25pmWill they allow MREs in packed luggage for travelers to foreign destinations? MREs are bad enough, but by comparison of the photos… yup, the MREs will sustain life long enough to enjoy the scenery, take photos and send postcards to friends and catch a flight back home to find a Chick-fil-A.

Sep. 28, 2012 at 2:54pmNOW FOR THE BEST WAY TO COOK POULTRY LIVERS, (chicken, turkey, duck) FOR ALL YOU FOIS GRAS PATE LOVERS! The secret to melt-in-your-mouth poultry liver pate is to cook the livers very, very, very slowly, over very low heat in a lot of real butter for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Cook them in a charcoal grill for added smokey flavor, which is awesome! Add salt/pepper or seasoned salt when they are done. ( You can also make a gravy by adding sour cream, yogurt or any kind of real cream to the cooked, mashed livers and ladle the mixture onto spaghetti, mashed potatoes, etc). If you are cooking the livers in the kitchen, turn the fire down to barely being on, add the butter to the pan, (at least 1 stick per lb) (yeah, it’s alot of butter….but this is not an everyday meal, so butter’s ok here). Add the livers, season and cover the pan. Let them cook for a few hours. The longer you cook them, the more melt-in-your-mouth they will become. (A crock pot on low overnight is great for this! It’s foolproof, every time!) You can add some drops of any kind of “Liquid Smoke” when they are done. Liquid Smoke can be found where the worcestershire sauce, steak sauce, tabasco sauce bottles are in the supermarket. The livers will be very moist, and will easily disintegrate and you can use them just like canned fois gras pate at a fraction of the cost ……..and no duck had to be tortured.

Sep. 28, 2012 at 1:22pmI did this spontaneously and it’s GREAT. In a fry pan, stir fry some shrimp in butter and garlic, then set aside. Cover the pan with cheese and fry it. When it’s brown on the bottom, put the shrimp back and fold them in the cheese, like and omelet. Ummmmmmm

Sep. 28, 2012 at 11:33am@ ATECHGEEK-
Hotdogs are made of 100% pure beef. Every part of the cow like a sausage. A little food coloring is added. Then they are extruded into plastic casing to give them their shape, VERY slow cooked/cured/aged, then the casing is cut off and the dogs are packaged. Mmmmm. Like fine wine…
Some of the stuff in this article looks really good. the ‘Mac Burger’ store reminds me of ‘McDowell’s’ in the Eddie Murphy movie ‘Coming to America’.

Sep. 28, 2012 at 11:19amThat Canadian burger, when I think about it and its flavors, might actually make sense. When my son was 5 he asked for peanut butter on his bison burger. Trying to be a dad that lets his son make safe choices I let him. And when I tried it on my burger, it was better than fantastic.

Sep. 28, 2012 at 12:26pmI agree I think the peanut flavor may make the burger gain a interesting flavor, already eat burgers with Bacon and peppers so I think adding peanut butter might not be that bad.

Sep. 28, 2012 at 12:30pmYep… Asians have used peanuts and peanut sauces on many dishes that we consume all over the world. So, it does not surprise me that you liked it. Will try it on my next burger. Thanks for the tip!!!!
