Chaos Erupts After Protesters Crash Allen West Event: Both Sides Throw Beer, Ice Cubes & a Salt Shaker

Chaos erupted at Rep. Allen West’s (R-FL) campaign event in Port Salerno, Florida, on Wednesday night, after protesters took some unique steps to crash the congressman’s speech. The detractors rented a hotel room above the outdoor event and, in the middle of his speech, they stormed the balcony and began shouting, throwing items and then hung a banner from the railing about removing West from office.
West stood quietly and watched while the scene devolved into four minutes of rowdy exchanges between his supporters and the protesters. TCPalm.com has more about the events that unfolded:
Protesters rented a hotel room to crash an outdoor Allen West event at Pirates Cove Resort & Marina from their balcony above, prompting beer, ice cube and even salt shaker tossing before sheriff’s deputies escorted the protesters off the property Wednesday night.
The congressman was six minutes into his campaign speech on Pirates Cove’s outside pool deck when four protesters emerged from a hotel room onto their balcony overlooking the event. Stand Up Florida protesters shouted out garbled messages and unfurled a banner that read “Allen West is out of touch, Allen West is out of office.”

Andrew Mina, a local field director for Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign, quickly tugged the banner down from below the balcony. Then, the crowd of supporters began booing loudly at West’s opponents, with shouting and jeers taking over the scene. The protesters dropped water and beer down onto the crowd and West’s supporters tossed water, ice cubes, beer and some middle fingers back at those on the balcony.
“At one point, an elderly West supporter cocked back his arm to hurl a glass salt shaker upward, but could only throw it a few feet before it shattered on the ground,” TCPalm.com adds to the description of events.
In the end, the protesters were escorted away from the scene by local sheriff’s deputies after the West crowd began shouting, “USA, USA!” in support of the candidate.

This admin and the U.N. are trying so hard to make the world equal and in order to do that the quality of life in the U.S. has to be lowered and it’s wealth re-distributed throughout the world. Why do people keep thinking we can have a perfect world? That is impossible. Individual freedom has to be taken away and replaced with strict law to make this happen. The leaders with the power are not perfect and as proven in history, when given too much power always abuse it and end up hurting the same they say they are helping. People will always make mistakes and do wrong and have since the beginning of time. We need to work with that. Trying to make everyone the same is going against nature and nature always wins.

What about the Obama Administration and the fact they knew about the attack in Libya at least 24 hours in advance and chose to do nothing? The decision of inaction that cost us an ambassador, and 4 American lives. The fact that he and his administration choose to continue to lie to us about the events in Libya and all over the Middle East. The fact that this administration chooses to withhold information from Congress on just about anything they see fit. From anything from Operation Fast & Furious to “The Project” files that the administration supplied to terrorists in their own trials but won’t give them to our own officials. Oh, and did I mention that one of the terrorists we released from Guantanamo was at the head of that attack on our U.S. Consulate in Libya? Guess who was at the head of the move to shut Guantanamo down and send these prisoners overseas to much less secure prisons ran by foreign governments. Governments that aren’t even close to being friendly with us. So… who’s the real traitor here? Col. Allen West, or the Communist in Chief and his cronies who have been working hard to destroy our country from the top-down for the past 4 years? …Commo

Actually he made his choice when he ‘retired’ from the military. Unfortunately he was given the choice of “EITHER retire NOW or face court martial”. I don’t think he should have been given the choice. He should have been court martialed and sent to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, where he would have been right at home with his ilk! True military men/women take an oath to uphold the Constitution and obey the orders of their superiors WITHOUT QUESTION. And if he REALLY believes he is RIGHT in all things, WHY did he take the easy way out of his problem and RETIRE instead of facing court martial?? Surely that court martial would have proved him innocent – IF he really believed his actions were right and proper for his rank!

In 2008 on a Sunday Mornings Meet the Press, then Senator Obama was a guest and asked about why he does not stand with his hand over his heart when the National Anthem is played or why he does not salute the flag and you know what he said?

West is black through and through. If anyone should go to jail it’s Barry. West didn’t just sacrifice an ambassador, and a bunch of others. Barry did, and on top of it Barry lied about what happened. The worst thing West did was take an known enemy combatant and fire a gun next to his head to get information out of the person to save his men, then afterword turned himself in for his actions. If it were Barry, Barry would have shot the guy in the head and blamed someone else. West didn’t turn the guy into bumps in the road and unlike Barry he tells the truth. Barry screwed the economy and he’s still blaming Bush. Barry couldn’t say he made a mistake or take the blame for anything he does, it apparently is more fun to blame someone else. Barry’s a real looser, and West’s opponent is a drunk. That’s what looser liberals prefer.

He was a get-it-done kind of a guy and if people think he will be intimidated easily, they are sorely mistaken. When a hard-driver like Lt. Col. West faces resistance it only fuels the fire to survive and thrive even more.
Anyone remember a man by the name of Col. Oliver North? When he was called to testify in Congress all these panty-waist politicians (who are full of themselves and their titles) thought they would intimidate him and brow beat him. A Marine who reaches the rank of Colonel and who has spent much time in combat and wartime environment is not going to be intimidated by the likes of those Senators. He ate their lunch, so to speak.
I think Lt. Col. Allen West is cut from the same cloth. He isn’t perfect, neither are you and I, and no one representing us will hold to all of our priorities and interests exactly. As we look at the upcoming election, look at the overall person. Is he/she a person of high moral character and integrity, are they knowledgable in economics, the law, free enterprise, capatalism, etc.? Their philosophy for the role of government is more important than a particular issue that we may disagree with.

Most of us don’t care about skin color. Those who do are racist. Racism is a two way streeet. The fact you would point to it makes you a racist as well, even if only slightly. I never heard of “White Guilt” before 2008. I have never felt guilt over any racial situation. Politicians, on the other hand, are steeped in racial guilt, whether they know it or not or will admit it or not. They classify us, pidgeon-hole us, divide us and then stir the tensions to keep us divided. When the founders said “United we stand, divided we fall” they were saying we would fall to those who want to govern over us and control our lives. Wake up, please, before we fall.
