‘Real News From TheBlaze’: War on Transparency

On Jan 21st, 2009 one day after being sworn into office, the president signed an executive order pledging a new era of open government. Today, Bloomberg published a report on whether or not the administration has lived up to the president’s promise. How’d the administration do? Of the 20 cabinet level federal agencies Bloomberg petitioned under the Freedom of Information Act for information about out of town travel expenses for their top officials–19 completely ignored the law. Bloomberg reports:

In all, just eight of the 57 federal agencies met Bloomberg’s request for those documents within the 20-day window required by the Act.

[...]

About half of the 57 agencies eventually disclosed the out-of-town travel expenses generated by their top official by Sept. 14, most of them well past the legal deadline.

Bloomberg reporters in June filed FOIA requests for fiscal year 2011 taxpayer-supported travel for Cabinet secretaries and top officials of major departments. Justice Department official Melanie Ann Pustay said in an interview that disclosure of those records is in the public interest.

Even agency heads who publicly announce their events — including Holder, Secretary of StateHillary Clinton and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius – didn’t provide the costs of their out-of-town trips more than three months after the initial request.

Christopher Horner has written extensively about this behavior which he dubbs the “The Liberal War on Transparency,” and has a new book due for release October 2nd  on the subject. Horner writes in a recent op-ed for the Washington Examiner:

“Administration officials, from the highest levels of the White House down to career liberal activists in government, use private email accounts to hide public business. Private computers, too. Even systems that automatically destroy, from the outside, all trace of public records.

They’ve ordered the creation of secret email accounts for the most senior among them, who are unquestionably subject to FOIA. To protect from scrutiny specific appointees or outside groups’ influence, they employ what spies call “tradecraft”: handles and cutouts.

Obama and liberals just aren’t that into transparency when they’re in charge. Their opponents must bare all. The most transparent administration in history has turned transparency on its head. “

Horner joined “Real News” Friday to discuss how this administration has not only failed kept its promise on transparency, but is arguably worse than his predecessor. Watch a clip from Friday’s show below:

Are we to believe that Obama was the last person in the world to know this was a terrorist attack?…..Are they going to let the film guy out of jail now?…..I am very sorry Obama got left at the door of Frank Martial Davis by his grandparents after both his mom and dad abandoned him. Frank the bi-sexual author and pornographer (of Obama’s Mother) who wrote books about having group sex with 13 year old girls. Obama was dropped at Franks doorstep when he was just ten years old. Frank had a FBI file as thick as a phone book.

But like Hillary says……”It takes a Village to raise a Child”.

The entire narrative we were told about Obama is a lie.

Why do Valerie Jarred …Bill Ayers…..Bill Ayers Father (along with many others in the WH) all have close ties to this sick perverted commie pornographic nutjob FRANK MARTIAL DAVIS???????

BUT MOSTLY WHY DID WE NOT KNOW ABOUT IT BEFORE HE WAS ELECTED?
Could it be that our MSM had all of their heads in a dumpster in Alaska and none in Chicago?

What Does Make America Different And Special?

‘In God We Trust’as the creator of heaven and earth.
Our separation of chruch and state provides us Freedom of choice to seek a truth to practice our Trust.

I believe these past 4 years have been our ‘Test of Truth.’

With our current president, We have:
    - not been told straightforward of his policies
    - not been able to see his procedures
    - not been recipients of kept promises
    - not been made aware of his plans and priorities

We the People have heard and seen nothing; giving us not one truth and making a mockery of our Justice System.

I believe our Founding Fathers have put us in a ‘role-reversal-mode’ to show us how careless we have been with our Constitution.

For ‘We the People’ to state ‘In God We Trust’; God must first Hear our Truths and See our Justice.

I’ll start with my two personal truths; you tell me if they are justified:

    1. The day the Twin Towers came down, I took off the clothes I was wearing and threw them in the garbage… never wanting to relive that day again.

    2. The day Obama became president, I stopped wearing underwear…never wanting my ‘sense of freedom’ to be taken away.

Obama was well aware of how INEPT congress was with regard to OVERSIGHT so any promises made would go unchallenged by OUR elected officials. Our votes placed them there to do THE PEOPLE’S business yet they have made all regulations that would deprive US of DUE PROCESS other than the FOIA.

WHO has the bawlz to enforce the FOIA if Congress doesn’t want the electorate to have enough power to IMMEDIATELY RECALL everyone of them who fails to do the people’s business.

Someone will eventually write a book entitled ” The SILENT REVOLUTION “.

Every single one of his campaign promises were a LIE propped up by the leftist media, including his CITIZENSHIP! When this is all over and, hopefully, a slew of them are strung up, LAWS will be passed to prevent this from ever happening again. Those who seek office under false pretenses should be punished and exiled. The same goes for all that help them. Plain and simple.

It’s a little hypocritical for you to call for transparency when your own candidate wont release the standard amount of tax returns that the American people are asking for. And this same guy has criticized others for not releasing their tax returns in the past

this whole tax return thing is ridiculous. It’s just a smokescreen for Obama to hide behind in order to evade discussing his failed presidency.
Transparency? There are so many red flags( no pun intended regarding his marxist leanings)with Obama it’s ironic that his presidency has been the most secretive,( including the appointment of czars that answer directly to him)in the history of this country.
Sounds like a good book written by Christopher Horner, let’s hope it can help impact the outcome of the election.

Mitt Romney’s father, George Romney, released twenty years of tax returns when he ran for President, beginning the tradition of disclosure that candidates since then have followed. Mitt Romney asked Paul Ryan for ten years of tax returns as part of the vetting process before he could finalize his selection of a running mate. If Mitt stubbornly refuses to release any returns from before he decided to run for President again it must be because he’s trying to hide something that would make him look really bad.

The truth is that the World Trade Center was never as study as the guys whose job it was to rent out offices in it claimed that it was. The truth is that our air defense system was not as infallible and impenetrable as we had always been told that it was, but had failed to keep pace with the geometric rate of growth in the volume of commercial traffic since it had been first designed. These are things that rational people would lie about for rational motives, unlike the elaborate conspiracy theories involving hundreds of flimsily motivated collaborators that people have spun in their fevered minds over the last eleven years, all because they were surprised to see that the effects of dropping the equivalent of a thirty or forty story building on top of a sixty or seventy story building resembled a controlled demolition, while in their imaginations (not having worked out the math of the physics involved) they had pictured it looking more like a tree getting cut down.
