Watch This Pitcher Catch the Ball, Lose His Glove, Then Catch That Too — With the Ball Still Inside
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Chad Jenkins made an unusual — but nonetheless effective — catch Friday night, first nabbing the ball, then his glove — in that order.
When New York Yankees center fielder Curtis Granderson knocked a line drive right back to Jenkins on the mound, Jenkins quickly put up his glove. He caught the ball, but the force of it swept his glove off his hand, sending it up into the air. Jenkins caught the glove, with the ball still inside, to get Granderson out and end the first inning.

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 3:08pmHow cool is this?
The pitcher makes an incredible play and just walks away, flipping the ball behind him as he makes his way back to the dugout.
The batter smiles broadly as he ends his run to first base and goes on with his job.
Nobody spikes the ball, makes a “made-for-You-tube” gesture, curses up a storm, they just do what they are paid to do and get back to work.
This gentlemen and gentlewomen is a class act; something in short supply in sports today!
Thank you gentlemen for reminding us what the game is all about!

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 8:11pmPresident Obama was obviously born in Hawaii, so get over it. Just because he enjoys a bit of dog meat like his Kenyan relatives does not make him born there, although I concede he was born as a Muslim according to the Islamic tradition of his father, since that religion was not specifically repudiated by the mother at birth and his father is a muslim.

If you read the total post you would see I approve completely about getting some down time in life and having some enjoyment. I merely state the obvious, people obsess with things that distract them from real life and wind up in a state of complete and utter uneducated being.
Doom and gloom is not what it is about. It is about balancing your life, the work life, and life to the country. Without people paying attention and taking active participation in their own government they have no idea what is happening.
Changes do not come quickly, they are subtle and covert. After you say something long enough and in enough ways people will believe it and you start a cultural change. Our educational system is a prime example. Where I have lived in my years every single place has said “:we have the best schools around” when in reality that was not the case. So don’t fall asleep at the switch, your country depends on you.
By the way, it was an interesting sports moment and I did enjoy the 29 seconds…I played almost every position in baseball when I was younger. I loved the game, until I saw how it too was being changed to win at all costs, then everyone is a winner no matter what.

Posted on September 30, 2012 at 12:07pmOur county is one that is distracted by things that become an obsession. How many times have you called a friend only to hear I have to go to watch *insert some sitcom name here*, how many weekends in the Fall do you see lines of people at the checkout with all the fixings for a sports party, 42 + inch televisions for sports, alcohol abuse every weekend, the expansion of the sports seasons….the list goes on.
Sure it is good to be distracted and enjoy life once in a while, but to obsess with sports and media etc….just taking away the intelligence of our populous slowly. Media and the entertainment industry, including sports, has a stranglehold for a long time, meanwhile our culture is changing, the American way of life is slowly disappearing and before we know it it will be completely gone and will have nothing left of our freedoms, so party up !

People have just gotten (as you point out) to hooked on satisfying their Hedonistic Desires. Work Hard til it hurt, have some drinks on Friday (Saturday too if single), Saturday is for the Family and Fun, Sunday is for Rest/God (depending on your bend). I Promise… You’ll Feel Complete and Satisfied in all Areas. And if it doesn’t go Smooth… Remember, There’s Always VACATION DAYS!!! LOL

Posted on September 30, 2012 at 4:30pmYour are 100% right, most people are like robots, not sure why other than they where raised to be self centered , thinking that no one can over throw us, If they do not wake up to the problem they will be like England, with protest in the streets trying to get back there Independence, but much like England the cancer will be to deep rooted to get rid of…..Our local level is now showing the corrupt ways with same working attitude towards the public, What needs to happen quickly is clean from bottom up with intrusions of our rights , I personally see drugs as the largest enemy we have …….week end warriors think it is a outing for fun all the time changing the mind set of free America, as long as they have their jobs and can buy the weekend good times , they are happy ……sad world we live in is what i see….

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 5:48amNow that you are off your soapbox… Everytime a sports story is reported here there is always someone who freaks out and thinks we should eat sleep and breathe politics 24/7. I hope you took 29 SECONDS out of your doom and gloom filled day to watch something that might have never happened, or at least on film before. You can now go back to your panic mode while I go back into Prep mode.

Posted on September 30, 2012 at 12:26amI looked around and only saw something about a curfew. Surely you’re not equating a curfew to keep hooligans in check with armed military personnel administering law enforcement on the populace. I’m confident such a gross overstatement of reality isn’t what you’re talking about, so I’ll keep looking. I’m curious.

Posted on September 30, 2012 at 1:17amWell, absolute tyranny starts just like this, telling you how to dress, what you can or cannot do, search you without probable cause, what next? Here is an article on the youth curfew: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_162-57521814-504083/curfew-dress-code-imposed-on-teens-to-combat-crime-in-east-st-louis/ Pre-crime measures are from a movie. You cannot keep people safe by making freedom issues a crime. You cannot keep people safe no matter what. Next comes gun control. Then only the outlaws will have the guns. How would that be safe? Where are the parents?
“Those who would give up essential liberties (I will add, families liberty) for the purchase of temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.” – Benjamin Franklin
