Ted Nugent is back with his very own TV show on the Discovery Channel — and it’s all about guns. “Ted Nugent’s Gun Country” premieres on Wednesday Oct. 10 at 10 p.m. ET and if you like big guns, the Second Amendment, explosions and rock music, you aren’t going to want to miss it.
“I bleed red, white and blue liberty — and nothing says liberty like the right to bear arms,” Nugent says in a promotional video for the show. “Guns built this country and good men with guns made it the American dream.”
According to the legendary musician, “Ted Nugent’s Gun Country” is a “look into the world of guns and America’s obsession with guns through the eyes of the biggest gun nut of all: Me.”
Watch the promotional TV spot for Nugent’s new show and then tune in on Wednesday at 10/9 c on the Discovery Channel for the premiere:

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 5:46amWell, you have the liberty of that choice, often even in totalitarian nations. It’s like a worldwide liberty…
That is not the topic of my reply though. Your tag is. Do you see anything around you that has absolutely no purpose? Doesn’t it seem like everything around you has some purpose in the universe, even if it is a very humble existence (like say, a gnat. Or sand maybe)? If so, does it realize its purpose, or does it exist within it absent of the notion that such a thing as purpose exists? If thats true, does it have a purpose in the whole of reality, or does it have a purpose simply because we witness it and attribute some purpose to it? Since it is obvious that things have purpose long before we define that purpose in our comprehension of it (limited comprehension), and that those things are devoid of their purpose, or even the notion of purpose, how then does an object receive its purpose and opiate to achieve it, and why are we the only things (that we know of so far) that can define (loosely) a things purpose, and manipulate its purpose to our advantage, willingly (that is, not ruled by instinct)?
Answer to first part?-Nature (not the physical context of nature, the psychological context; the “purpose” part) is programmed into every particle by a mind. Whose would you say?
Answer to second part?- the mind that created the nature and its physical representation (the physical universe) in each particle, did so specifically for man.
In all we learn, Hi

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 10:55amI spent about $35.00 and bought(on da net) a reconditioned [DVD-recorder with internal hard-drive]. The hard-drive records, instintantly, first, then afterward, you press “stop” and the H-D records to the DVD-disk. This was about $600.00 years ago. It is a “stand-allone” unit like the VHS-machine was. So, watch the gunshow/Ted, and afte, hit record onthe 2nds-show to watchit at you leasure, later. DVD-disks are now about 5-10cts each. You don’t have to have the extra-DVR controlled by the various “dish” or cable companies. What happens to all your recorded-stuff when the DVR’s HardDrive Dies??

SCREEN NAME:
“therealconservative”
OBSERVATION:
Typically, the folks who beat their chest the loudest about “what they are”… are anything but.
CONFUSING:
“Ted carries more guns than you’ve ever owned.”
CLARITY:
The amount of arms one has, has little to do with supporting the Constitution or not.
ALINSKYITE LIES:
“since your a liberal, you’ve never owned any.”
TRUTH:
Fake-conservatives face quite a struggle, when tangling with a “Paultard.” They will NEVER engage in ANYTHING beyond hyperbole, demagoguery or childish name calling, as they know they will be annihilated. So, one clumsy avenue is to attempt to position the Ron Paul supporter as some sort of democrat or “liberal.” The failed character assassinations always come off as rather silly and transparent… but at least it helps the Alinskyite REDIRECT conversation AWAY from any sticky issues and into an endless spiral of personal insults (IF their target takes the bait. I rarely do.)

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 4:15am@real conservative- Its interesting that you would call an obvious Ron Paul supporter, who correctly labeled even the “conservatives” in the government “leftist gun grabbers” a liberal. Possibly you overlooked the statement, or you are unfamiliar with Dr. Paul’s platform. Either way you’re misinformed.
My step-father has quite a few guns, and is a union president, a democrat, and retired government employee. Shoots your notion all to hell, huh?

After having the good fortune of hanging out with Nugent and a couple of my buddies for a few hours a long time ago, I came to the conclusion that he was just a regular guy behind his outstanding music talent and gonzo persona. As we drank our Miller Lite and Ted imbibed only Squirt soda, we talked about police work, music, and family. So as far as I’m concerned, you Nugent bashers and go put yourselves in a stranglehold.

He’s one of the few who talks the talk and walks the walk when it comes to actually standing up against the government and refusing to submit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most of the mouthy bastards in this country just scream their opinions and would run and hide if confronted the way he has been. I count him as a genuine hero for the cause of standing against the tyranny of our POS president and his regime.

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 2:50amI would agree with verceoftreason but in another context: if he truly believes that “A well regulated militia, being NECESSARY to the security of a FREE state, the right of the people…” I think that supporting what he says, “Guns made this country great…” (this isn’t a country, it is a union of free and sovereign states, but I digress), with action to back his words would include using his influence and celebrity, even his fortune if he was really committed, to help organize and proclaim to the government the true intention of his favorite, and oft-misrepresented, amendment.
Yeah, the guns are for hunting…yup.
@sickandtired- the founders were extremists, you just happen to agree with them (an assumption on my part). But only partially if you consider Ted, of whom I am also a fan, a great patriot.

comments about Strategic Air Command – all good, as I am a 14 yr SAC vet (maybe it was the $$$umsized comment?)
Great patch – great command – maybe the monitors will release it after they figure out it was a term of endearment for, and recognize by those of us that grew up in SAC (i.e. Strategic Air Command) – and not an XXX rated code that is exploiting the system—
Grand Forks, Dyess, Offutt – Osan, DM – the cold warriors stood the line, 24 hrs everday – and although everyone calls it a cold war – there is not even a “campaign” award to recognize what is probably the greatest miliatry battle ever won – whether you were part of the Triad or the “Support Forces” in those little planes – with those “little” bombs – all that served can look the others that did the same, in the eye and know the service that was performed, with excellence, with honor, and with brotherhood.

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 9:21pm@Rebel. Not trying to rain on the parade here, but, if you look at the heavy fire power the rebels were using in the embassy attack on Libya, there are not a lot of Americans armed that well. Small arms fire against heavy fire power is not a good outcome. The big question is where are these poor folks from Libya getting the superior weapons? The second amendment was about keeping Americans armed well enough to resist their government or an invading government. Small arms which we are allowed to have are no match for what would be coming. Better an AK-47 than nothing. But, the other thought, is, last I checked, ammunition was expensive and really easy to go through a bunch of rounds. What happens if their is an attack on America? How soon does the citizen run out of ammunition they stockpiled themselves? Where will they get more ammunition? Most folks don’t know nor are set up to reload there own ammunition. And in the heat of battle, if you did have a store of gun powder and primers etc., you still have to keep up with collecting those casings. Logistics is the key.
