Starting today, TheBlaze is launching a brand new online radio channel, TheBlaze Radio Network, featuring shows hosted by Glenn Beck and his co-hosts Pat Gray and Stu Burguiere, as well as radio personality and Marconi Award nominee Jay Severin.
The new network offers TheBlaze readers a new way to connect with the information and commentary that has previously been offered on the news website and TheBlaze TV network. Listeners will be able to tune into Beck’s radio program, as well as audio simulcasts of TheBlaze TV’s “Pat & Stu,” “Glenn Beck,” and “Real News from TheBlaze.”
The “Jay Severin Show,” available exclusively on TheBlaze Radio, is a mix of political commentary and satire, with a mission of exposing the truth without barriers. Jay Severin, hailed by NewsMax Magazine as one of America’s Top 25 Radio Hosts, has served as host of nationally syndicated and regional radio programs including New York and Boston, for which he has been nominated for the Marconi Award for Top National Radio Major Market Personality. Severin has also been a political analyst with NBC News, CNBC, MSNBC and has appeared on Fox News, CBS, ABC, “Nightline,” “The John McLaughlin Show,” PBS, CNN and NPR. He has authored Op-Ed articles for the New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, and The Boston Globe.
Joel Cheatwood, President and Chief Content Officer at TheBlaze, said “We are excited to continue making TheBlaze a destination for news, information and entertainment programming across multiple platforms. Jay is an incredible talent and is the perfect host to launch The Blaze Network.”
“Real News from TheBlaze” features TheBlaze contributors Amy Holmes, Will Cain, S.E. Cupp, and Buck Sexton.
TheBlaze Radio Network’s lineup is (all times Eastern):
• 9am-Noon: The Glenn Beck Radio Program
• Noon-2: Pat and Stu
• 2-5: Jay Severin
• 5-6: Glenn Beck (simulcast of Glenn’s daily TV show)
• 6-7: Real News from the Blaze (simulcast of TV)
TheBlaze Radio Network can be heard starting today on iHeartRadio, Clear Channel’s free industry-leading digital radio service, TheBlaze.com, GlennBeck.com and TheBlaze iPhone and iPad apps.
Read Severin’s exclusive op-ed on TheBlaze about his new show.
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Posted on October 2, 2012 at 12:15amStill on radio here. Glenn is available to go cable; He ask you to demand it. He is ready to go 7/24. He adding as he goes. He wants Not to go into debt; He is ready, so Demand. Also, Glenn is still on Talk Radio FM here; It comes in handy when ROKU is attacked by hits form the government and the Leftists.
I love all the ways that I connect to his programs. The Internet is still the best way for $99.95 a year. You get everything that he is producing and can use Demand anytime that you choose to watch. I love this media the best; but, I still listen FM locally. I want to support all of them to keep the truth out there for all Americans. I would like for Glenn to add Cable and Short way radio media.

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 11:39pmBeing in radio myself, I’d like to see them launch a news service for radio stations. I’d bet a LOT of conservative stations would drop Fox News for The Blaze. And even if the ones carrying Fox didn’t switch, you can bet they likely have a competitor which would snap it up in a heartbeat.
I do have a concern about all this internet based “broadcasting,” however. We’re going to run out of bandwidth. Consider a DTV signal at 2mb/s with 10,000 viewers (a fairly low rated show). That’s a mere 200 bits per viewer. Now think of 10,000 commuters each listening to a different 32k stream (rather low quality, even with AAC encoding.) That’s 320MEGS right there. And if you’ve ever logged in simultaneously with two different devices, one always lags the other- different digital packets for each device and not likely taking the same route on the web to get there. We could use every ounce of spectrum from DC to daylight and not have enough in the big cities. I sure hope Glenn doesn’t drop traditional broadcasting because I doubt I’d be able to hear him while on the road if it’s only via these digital devices. Not always very good coverage west of I-29.

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 6:27pmGot Blaze radio network today and heard Jay Severin for the first time. Great! I am gathering up all my radios and donating them to Goodwill. Getting ready to dump TV cable as it is a waste of money. Added an extra monitor to my laptop with a good sized flat screen–just like watching TV. Severin says Beck is the Thomas Edison of communication. Right on.

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 5:08pmThis is great news. Jay, I was a big fan before I moved from Boston to Austin, TX. But, there’s still a problem. I listen during drive time. 2-5 doesn’t cut it. And the podcasts are only iTune podcasts, I’m an Android user. So now that you’re syndicated, I still can’t listen. Doesn’t seem fair. Maybe I can get Obama to get me an iphone.

Are you referring to the regular podcasts from GBTV? Or Jay Severin’s podcasts of old? I download MP3 podcasts all the time on my phone in order to get Beck’s radio show when I miss it in the morning.

Posted on December 13, 2012 at 3:47pmIf you can’t download the MP3 files from iTunes then you can always stream the radio show (plus Pat & Stu) using Stitcher which has an Android app. For the new radio network just use the iHeartRadio app and search for “The Blaze” and you can stream the network live on Android. So, there are some options at least although I would prefer a single app.

I always have so much trouble navigating to this page, so I keep it bookmarked. So easy to download to my Android smartphone. This is where you can easily click and download MP3′s of radio archives, including Pat & Stu. Usually available daily @ 1:30 PM EST or later. There are about 4 months of archives available for download. There s a link there for ITUNES subscribers as well.

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 2:58pmGBTV has become a collection of the most unappealing and unattractive hosts imaginable EXCEPT FOR THE GREAT GLENN BECK ofcourse. Have you lost your mind Glenn? Severin is the most un appealing mysogenistic, foney fake and fraud ever to disgrace the Boston airwaves. Have you read his history? YOU ARE DESTROYING YOUR BRAND GLENN!

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 2:40pmOkay, I have about given up on Glenn. I am one of the way-back originals, but am on a very limited budget. I first heard him on radio and when he moved to cable, I subscribed to cable.
He left cable and I am still stuck in a contract with my cable company as I ended up bundling my tv/phone/cable together.
He starts his own TV station on the internet and because I was an original Insider, I can keep my subscription at the lower rate — but I am not able to listen live as I rarely have the ability to log onto the computer at that time.
Now, as of today, Glenn is off the radio in Atlanta. 640 WGST was the local station and they turned to a Hispanic Sports station as of today. (something odd about that as WGST was wildly popular) I’ve now found out that there may be no new station and Glenn has started his own radio station ON THE INTERNET!
Glenn, what about people who don’t have iPhones or iPads or iTunes or any ability to get an internet connection while they are in the car? I travel in the morning and have been a loyal listener for years in the car. I have a dumb phone that won’t let me access the internet. I don’t have Facebook and don’t use Twitter.
Each time you re-create the wheel, you go towards more cutting-edge technology that many of us older listeners don’t have access to. We can’t afford to keep upgrading our lives in order to follow you, Glenn.
What are WE supposed to do?? Is your system only geared for those who are into the

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 3:49pmGranny I can agree with you on the technology. I do have internet and can listen and watch. TV? nope got rid of that crap and just have straight antenna TV. Nothing on TV worth paying for. Facebook and Twitter are a joke and I will not subject myself to those. I don’t need to know what people are doing every minute of their day and could care less what they tweet. I don’t know if Glenn is leaving all the free radio airwaves or not. I didn’t see it in the article but if so we will know soon enough. You do have internet so you can listen to his show anytime you want with that. It is a bummer you can no longer listen in the car.

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 11:50pmHe was taken off the 710 AM Station in NY city years ago also. The only way to get him on radio is Sirus/XM Patriot Channel 125. Also, the internet and The Blaze TV or if you switch to DISH you can DVR everything on Channel 212.

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 2:40pmSummary of suggestions:
1. Android app. Thins makes too much sense that I’m surprised it hasn’t been done yet. It must be some sort of political decision. Google TV uses Android, and outside of the plethora of cheap Google TV devices available, many TVs come with it embedded out of the box. This would open up hundreds of thousands of ready devices. Obviously there’s the Android phones and tablets, millions of which also have an HDMI out port. TheBlaze, what I am saying, is that by adding a single Android app, you are opening your market up to millions of devices. So what, Google’s in bed with Big Brother; well guess what, so is Apple. Create the app, to not have an Android app is the sign of a second rate operation these days, just saying.
2. On demand access, via the Apple app and the soon to be release Android app, to the audio of all the shows. I’ll admit, I rarely get to watch Real News and Wilkow. I would however listen to all of the shows in the car and at my desk. This includes not only Beck, but Wilkow and Real news as well. An audio stream of these shows to stream in the car would be heavily used by many people I think. I’d love to listen at my desk with my headphones as well.

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 2:07pmYea – this is very cool. I can listen on the way to work and on the way home. Iheart is my replacement for am radio because it’s more clear to listen to. Also I can’t always catch Glenn in Houston b/c he is not on the local am stations. Fine by me – but now I can get glenn on iheart. Thank you.

My apologies, Glenn, but there seems to be a growing demand for non-apple users with nothing but an unstable workaround available. Posted on October 1, 2012 at 12:59pmBlaze, please consider making these programs on-demand. Not everyone has the same schedule but we would still like to listen in the car, something we can’t do with BlazeTV because 3G is not fast enough to support it. We also like to listen on the weekends on long drives to visit family. Thank you and keep up the good work!
