Watch Team of Navy SEALs in Action as They Search for Taliban Leaders & Weapons in Afghanistan
It is easy to take for granted the brave men and women who are overseas fighting and risking their lives for all the freedom and liberty we enjoy here in the United States.
But every once and a while we get a glimpse into the world of the U.S. military. A new video report from The Daily follows a team of Navy SEALs who patrol parts of Afghanistan looking for Taliban leaders and dangerous weapons, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
Navy SEALs take on some of the toughest missions in Afghanistan. The Daily got a firsthand look as they helicoptered into a remote village to search for Taliban leaders and weapons. Since the SEALs’ work is often secret, they asked that we not show their faces.
Watch the compelling video report via The Daily:
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Posted on October 3, 2012 at 10:50amAs with Viet Nam we lost 58 thousand young lives to a worthless cause fighting for nothing and ending in eventual withdrawal and defeat. However, in Viet Nam our top military generals never blamed our own troops for their own demise as they are now doing in Afghanistan. General Allen is “angry” at all the green on blue murders and General Dempsey blames our troops for getting themselves killed. Both men should be fired and we should get our young people out of that corrupt place NOW!

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 5:17pmThis is a misrepresentation of “SEALs”. These are not SEALs. Dude is wearing an ISAF patch and they are patrolling amongst the population. Give me a break. The media’s fascination with special ops reminds me of a three-year olds fascination with lollipops. Move along, nothing to see here. Bonafide special ops doing God’s work in the shadows as per design with no fanfare…

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 9:35amnothing against Seals, but my son is an Army Ranger and he has done this stuff for 4 years, missions exactly like what they were doing.. Just saying seems only special forces getting all the shout-outs are Seals. by the way, my son also said most of the Seals he has met are “cowboys”. He did say Team 6 was the exception to that. they are professional.

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 10:20amThank you for your sons service.
But let’s not compare. They ALL do the work no one else will do.
…and seals are just a tad tougher. ; )

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 2:48pmArmy Rangers….US Navy SEALS…. I agree, let’s not compare! They are all exceptional Americans fighting for our country. But that is where all the comparing stops. The training, the weaponry, the scope of the missions. I think that your son might be a bit jealous. When something as important, as dangerous as the killing of UBL, how many Rangers were sent in??? How much Army personnel was involved on that mission. Ask him why the Rangers weren’t sent in. I bet he wouldn’t give you a simple, straight answer. By the way, HOOYAH!

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 2:58pmUSAF Para Rescue never gets any credit and most people don’t seem to know they exist. They train just as hard as any other special forces unit. ;)
As the wife of a retired member of the military and as the mother of a child who just joined the military, I am thankful ALL of them exist and are so well trained as I know my husband was and my child will be in good hands should they need it :)

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 3:28pmAnd, yes, I realize that while PJ’s train just as hard, their mission is mostly different than the other special forces units. my point is that they are all important
When my Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps relatives get together, their good natured insults amazingly degenerate quite quickly into some of the raunchiest, yet funniest back and forth one can imagine

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 5:18pm@band19 – You can’t compare apples and oranges. Example; The Army has aircraft and they fly better than the Air Force but not as good as the Navy. The Air Force has rifles and fight better than the Army. You can’t make blanket statements comparing special ops units, they all have a reason to exist.

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 10:45pmArmy Rangers are not SEALS. They exist to excel in different missions. Its foolish to compare them.
Might as well compare Force Recon to SEALs.

No wonder so many people hate America… great comment.

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 2:52pmWe either joke them now or they will nuke us later when they get their hands on them. In a perfect world we shouldn’t talk like that. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a perfect world……. Most people need to learn and realize who we are dealing with. I love it how people that never served, become experts on how the military should deal with their enemies. That kind of mentality got us here to begin with. I wonder what Gen. Patton will do!

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 3:33pmDon’t fret these pantywaists. They hate glass. I would like to know where they get the term innocent Muslims. Really? I don’t hate them, but “forgiveness is God’s business, ours is just to arrange the meeting.” Most of these goobs seem to be too young to remember the Muslim world after 9/11. I won’t ever forget them dancing in the streets.

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 1:19amI’m pro military, but how effective is lining the citizens up and then asking them if they are Taliban?
that wouldn’t work in a high school if you ask “who throw the spitball?”
The US troop presence walks through and then moves on. the Taliban stays.
this didn’t work in Vietnam.
there has to be a change in their hearts. they have to want the change, or it won’t happen.
our cultures are very different.
it would seem you would need enough troops to actually know who is in the villages. to know their names and families, rather than rely on eye scanners. its similar to a policeman walking his patrol area daily, learning the people.
I appreciate the troops effort, but it just ineffective.

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 1:39amThere might be slightly more complexity to the interrogative techniques that the SEALs use than is shown in this couple of minutes of footage.

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 5:35amIt’s ineffective, yes. But you know what? They’re hands are tied as well. Blame the Liberals in power for twisting the rules that tie the military’s hands behind their back, demanding they fight “fairly”. Even in peace time, you see this kind of thing….

Get our soldiers out of the Muslim H*LL-HOLES. Those people are a hopeless cause. They refuse to act civilized and move into the twenty first century.
They treat their goats better than they treat their women. Americans are dying for nothing.
Israel is the only Middle Eastern country worth fighting for and saving.
