Chavez and Obama’s ‘Socialized Messages’ Are ‘Almost The Same Thing’ Says Venezuelan Political Refugee
Rodrigo Zerpa is a 56-year-old Venezuelan political refugee working as a chauffeur in Orlando, Florida. In a casual interview last month, Zerba told TheBlaze that living under the Communist Venezuelan regime was “terrible” and he regularly feared for his life.
Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías assumed the presidency of Venezuela in 1999. Since then, he has instituted heavy-handed socialist policies across the country. His outright nationalization of a diverse range of industries has led to extreme poverty and crippled international investment potential in Venezuela’s mineral-rich markets.
When asked what policies continue to elect Chavez, Zerba immediately defines the class warfare policies of the president’s administration.
“He is kind of like Robin Hood. He said ‘I’m gonna take the money from the rich and give it to the poor.’ So all of his war is against the rich people, against the productive people, against the companies.”
Are these messages similar to that of the Obama campaign? Zerba responded, “it’s almost the same thing.” He noted that the two leaders share a similar “socialized message” and that “poor people, they like that kind of message because they think they are going to get something else from the government.” Zerba calls the tactics a “distraction.”
Even more, the tactics are harmful. He went on to describe the socialized medicine system of Venezuela, saying it’s “crazy” and “it doesn’t work.”
“You cannot find anything at the hospital, any medicine, any equipment,” Zerba says. “The only thing that works is the private health and he wants to take the private health too.”
Later, Zebra added off camera that there are many “incredible” benefits to living in America and he and his family are happy here. He hopes the country does not go the way of his homeland, “because then, where would people like me go?”
Over the weekend, Chavez gave Obama rousing support, saying “If I were American, I’d vote for Obama.” He also added that “Obama is a good guy … I think that if Obama was from Barlovento or some Caracas neighborhood, he’d vote for Chavez.”

And it hasn’t gotten any better here since then, except for a few years under Reagan – maybe.

Because of our vastness, I believe we will splinter off into several countries and start over from there. The enemies of the constitution will take over some of these “countries”; others will have to constantly fight to remain free.

Posted on October 2, 2012 at 12:03pmoboma would definity vote for chalvez. just went by the small store where i live. 10:30am here. you can tell every damn democrat pulling up there. middle age men not working looking like hell. they just got off the crack pipe to buy some cigar to put their pot in and smoke. my guess on welfare getting a check and food stamps or the female walking in young and pregnant probably not married or if she knows who the father is. low class or no class getting the best gynologist now free of charge and health care until the child is 18 before oboma care. i am retired i work 30 to 35 hrs. per week to make it. have never taken anything from the government and never would. i have paid taxes all my life and given to charities for different causes. oboma wants the rich to pay more so he can give them more. if a damn shame the rich owe them nothing. if they did not get the free stuff they would have to get off their lazy ass and get a job. these females would have to support every kid they have by themself. best birth control i know. i say let them starve enough of my taxes have gone to these people. my guess every damn one of them are democrats. they should have to take a test on the issues before being able to vote. i bet they don’t even know who is running against oboma. mindless creatures and corrupt politians are insult to God Almighty.

Even though Obama has A LOT of similarities with Chavez, there is the belief on my mind that the American people will not allow him to actually destroy the country as he would probably like to do. This country was founded on very important values and ideals of freedom and individualism, Venezuela on the other hand has been ruled by so called leftists for at least 54 years. This coupled with Chavez’ constant use of class warfare has allowed him to stay in power for this long, along with having control of Every government institution.
So, I agree that the message and actions are very similar ( Chavez is still blaming past governments after being in power for 14years, sounds familiar?) but I also happen to believe and hope that the American people will put a stop to that this november and go back to those things that made this country the greatest place to live.
