Glenn Beck Asks If You Have Heard About the ‘Secretary of State Project’

On Tuesday evening, Glenn Beck informed viewers about the “Secretary of State Project,” a George Soros-funded organization that began in 2006 as a means to help Democrats secure the position of Secretary of State in certain swing states. Beck said that these states are specifically ones where Sen. John Kerry had lost to George W. Bush in 2004. The main reason, according to Beck, that the left is already managing expectations for the upcoming presidential debate is because it’s already managing exceptions for the election even before the votes are in (this might explain the skewed poling numbers in favor of President Obama).

While some might be currently wondering why the position of Secretary of State is of particular importance to Soros or Democratic operatives, Beck reasoned that the role is inexpensive to fund yet yields considerable influence over election regulations and results. Some might recall that Katherine Harris of Florida and Kenneth Blackwell of Ohio were two Secretary of States that oversaw and ultimately, determined, the presidential voting outcome in both 2000 and 2004 in their respective states.

Secretary of States are required via their position to certify election results, giving them considerable power. Beck went on to cite Minnesota’s Mark Ritchie as an example of someone who decided an election in favor of the Left when he determined that now-Senator Al Franken had defeated the Republican incumbent Norm Coleman.

In 2010, five out of the seven candidates put forth by the Secretary of State project were defeated. While still existing on paper, the organization has since been relatively inactive. The Secretary of State website also appears to have been disabled, but the organization’s Facebook page remains. It’s stated mission reads as follows:

The Secretary of State Project was created by concerned citizens to provide an easy-to-use, low-cost vehicle for online donations to reform minded progressive Secretary of State candidates and incumbents in key battleground states. We also work on election related and voter protection issues.

Beck wondered that if Romney won the presidential election by a close margin, will the group be able to say he stole the election?

Beck then turned to how current polls are exaggerating Obama’s lead over Romney and that what the polling agencies aren’t skewing, the media is. The idea being that if Obama appears to be doing well, even better than Romney in the polls now, it will create a “bandwagon effect” for voters on election day.

According to Beck, Romney has spent his life “turning around” outcomes — be it the Salt Lake City Olympics, or the companies he has streamlined while at Bain Capital like Staples and Home Depot.

“He’s the guy who makes you work harder and smarter.” At the end of the day, Romney, according to Beck, doesn’t leave the companies he has engaged high and dry, rather he has pushed them to be better, to think differently and learn to thrive. Comparing Romney to a mechanic rather than a salesman, Beck asked who one would rather be around when his or her “economic engine is in trouble.”

He’s done NOTHING with all his $$$$ other than bring down nations, currencies, and influence politics to the hard left. He may be a lot of things, but the most dangerous one is the financier of everything evil on the planet at the moment, including the manipulation of governments into his idea of his Open Society, which is actually world communism..

  I have always thought that! Do you remember Beck’s special on “The Puppetmaster”? After that Beck was off the air. His special solidified my opinion of that demon Soros.. I think Obamanation is just one of his soldiers.following orders. Did you think we’d ever have to have this conversation? Still seems inconceivable..but sadly true. At this point in the game it is what is it is. Americans will either decide to embrace and accept Marxism/Leninism and assimilate under Communism or they won’t. Many people are discounting our Fathers involvement among his people (The house of Israel). However that is the one caveat which Marxists/Leninist never plan for but are always defeated by.

After all is said and done, it will be when those voters go to the booths and think of all the Marxist/Leninist actions this current president has taken which will make them change their mind. They will think of their children and their future and Putin in control in Russia and the unrest in the Middle East and all the discord brought about by Mr Obama and his Czars and they will vote him out of office. Further they will vote the Marxist/Leninist out of the House and the Senate and we will watch as America slowly gains back her even keel.

As we look behind us and see the forced assimilation of America to Marxist/Leninist doctrine (Fundamental Transformation) fade in the rear view mirror, we will consider how political parties are not representative of the will of the the people, and we will move to change their influence forever.

I am not voting for Mr Romney because he is a Republican, I am voting for him because he understands fully accounting and finance, and because he has a history of caring about and for his fellow man, when no one was looking or taking notes.

Romney’s budget plan will do nothing but redistribute income upward, while increasing taxes on the middle class and lowering them for the upper class.

The Most Soros funded Secretary of State is in MN. He tried to change the wording the the ballots for the Marriage amendment and the voter ID law we will be voting on. The wording would have made it confusing to voters as to which way to vote. It ended up in court and, Thank God, the wording was left as it was originally written.

  JUSTANGRY, very early on you and I had some near knock down, drag out, go arounds. But, after reading many of your comments afterwards, I have learned to respect you as well. Often times, I have found myself to be in agreement with you. We tend to go in different directions in regards to our military service, but I can see where the two of us just see things differently. I do well agree that the GOP that was such an underling for so many decades to the point that yeah, a few got elected, and they got to play golf while the Dems kept them out of everything. We do have to root these characters out of the party, and it will take likely more decades to do so. I personally hope to see the Tea Party remain true to their original ideals to get these RINOs packing to make some great changes in the future. I’ve taken the time to look up and read fully the Libertarian Platform. While I agree with many of the planks, a number of them do really concern me. But, regardless of our smaller differences, we need to put the 0bama family out to pasture. The Libertarians do not carry enough weight in this game right now to really get anywhere in this election season. As Beck often says, and yes, I listen daily, if Romney does not work out, we need to send him packing in 2016. But, as far as that goes, we have got to get rid of the propaganda arm of the Dem-wit party…..the failed media. They are not longer a watch dog, but a willing participant of the extreme left.

I never advocate boycotts, but will personally let my feet do the walking and talking. What I am saying is that at this time of the election season which only has 34 days remaining is to stick together and get 0bama out. Afterwards, you stick to your guns and build your party.   My understanding is that Hillsborough County already has a complete IT staff. Now they want a bunch of $10 per hour strangers to come in before, during and after the election to work on PC’s and the network with complete access.

  First; Glenn did try to vet Obama if you watched all of his FNC shows. Without Glenn we might never have heard about Soros and all of his connections. Soros is such a “hot potato” now Valerie Jarret won’t let him near Obama. With all of Obama’s records sealed… vetting him is not an easy task.
  
  Second; If you believe all the stories about Romney shutting down most every business he and Bain touched then maybe his dealings with Monsanto might have turned out differently.
  
  Third: We now know a lot more about GMO than we did 20 or so years ago. It sounded like a good idea at first and then turned into the nightmare that it is today.

I heard about the project over 2 years ago thanks to one Glenn Beck and, as a result, we were able to defeat the Soros backed candidate in Michigan. Out SoS has discovered 40,000 non-citizens on the voting rolls in Michigan and the libs are going crazy because she added a question to the voter card: “Are you a US Citizen?” If you answer No you can’t vote. If you answer yes, you do so under penalty of perjury.

  I have a much more insidious view of what may be going on.
  
  What if the skewed poll numbers are really setting the stage for a stolen election? What if ACORN, and the organizations that have risen from ACORN like Phoenix from the ashes, have established the apparatus to steal the election. What if those 1.2 million illegals were casting votes at the same time they were being cleared to stay in the country?
  
  They could justify the resulting grand theft by pointing to the close poll numbers all along and simply say “Hey, your boy lost, simple as that!”

Romney will make an outstanding “President”. This bozo we have in the white house is EVIL. I remember when Obama was first on TV announcing he was running for president and I was alone in my home and I was passing by my TV and I stopped and stared at Obama (whom I knew nothing about at that time and I had NEVER seen him before) and all of a sudden I felt an energy pulling my attention into the TV and all of a sudden I HEARD a voice (I BELIEVE was my guardian angels’ voice) and all it said was “he is evil” and right then the energy that was tugging at me was DROPPED.
I was so spooked that I turned the TV off!! And ever since then Obama was shown himself to be EVIL – I can NOT wait til we get rid of him!!!!

  90 percent of Republican votes come from white people, but white people(90 percent in 1960) are just under 64 percent of the population.   The first time I heard about Obama was in 2007-2008. My sister (who is a die hard liberal) was telling about his “epic” speech he gave at the DNC in 2004?
  I wanted to know more about Obama so I bought the book “The Obama Nation”. There was enough in the book about Obama’s life that I was convinced he was both a muslim and a communist. I was amazed that the facts in the book were never reported in the news leading up to the 2008 election.
  The press is the single most powerful propaganda tool supporting the big lie known as Obama. They are at it again for the 2012 election. The MSM can never be trusted again.

yup. heard about that project awhile back…got a bit sidetracked with other issues and haven’t followed as closely as I should have but we do at least have enforcement of voter id laws here; local lib bloggers always complaining about it so it must be working pretty well. have brownback as gov; not really fond of him (repubic on some things). ‘ had the obamabot not drafted horseface for HHS she’d still be around probably.

  If any of you had listened to his shows during the primaries, you’d know that Beck was quite vocally against Romney. Only after Romney looked to be the candidate because Ron Paul had not stepped back yet, did Beck start backing Romney when he said “At least Romeny is not a Commie.” Yeah, all through the primary I read accusations here of Beck supporting his fellow LDS member, but heard a totally different story from Beck during his programs. Those accusations were obviously made by those who never bothered to listen to Beck. As for the first election cycle Beck was still with CNN, at least until the month before the election itself. He left CNN during Oct ’08, then started with Fox in Jan ’09. If you guys are going to tell wild tales, at least make them believable.

  RJJ, My Beck exposure is on the Blaze these days. His radio program is ANNOYING and I wouldn’t pay extra to watch him on my computer. A bunch of commercials, old sound bites and three morons making fun of a half-wit caller was all I ever heard.
  
  I know, at least the Blaze participated in the initial smear campaign and the media blackout of RP once it became clear it wasn’t working. While I was listening to his show he seemed to back Bachman, then Santorum. Bashed Newt. Complained about RP’s foreign policy and said things like people only hated Romney because he was a big government guy or that Romney off the record is a whole different guy than when in campaign mode. I never heard him say anything BAD about Romney. I do know that convincing his flock to go for Santorum who wasn’t even on half the states’ ballots helped Romney secure the nomination. Whether GB actually helped Romney because he was in his church is just a theory I’ve heard, which is why I used the “perhaps” qualifier. I stopped listening to him and the rest of the media pundits during the RP blackout around Presidents’ Day when they all ignored the Veterans’ march on the White House honoring all those that sacrificed and those of us that killed themselves. He couldn’t even bring himself to cover us honoring those that committed suicide because of our warped foreign policy and to bring attention to this epidemic.

  JUSTANGRY, Okay, I can see where you are coming from on part of this. As for The Blaze, I really think that Glenn Beck is so tied up with other things that he delegates the daily control, writing of stories, and editing to a hired staff. So many of the stories here if you look them up on the net, they are exactly the same across the board regardless the site. Several lately have been word for word on more than a dozen each of said sites. The biggest part of this site gives us the space to discuss these stories and actually exposes each and every one of us for whom we are. That is the nature of the beast. It also gives us a great way to communicate and share our opinions.
  Anyway, beyond this election cycle, I hope to see some major changes within my party for the good. I wish you guys the same, and we’ll be seeing each other in those awkward ways all over again in about three years.

I remember this very well. It may have began with a meeting of 70 millionaires headed up by sorazz, meeting in Scottsdale, AZ in April 2005. I understand these windbags were pretty ticked off to invest millions of dollars in the election only to lose to George Bush in 2004. The SOS project, I believe, came out of this group who wanted to increase funding to go against conservative groups. And, thus we have all of sorazz’s funded slayers of the truth, i.e., mediadoesn’tmatter etal, and the democrat SOS of MN produced the phoney votes for franken…some found in the backseat of a car.

We have been fighting the Sec State projet in my state for 3 years. It is also tied to the popular vote idea.

Why is Soros not in jail, after his insider trading conviction was uphel on appeal? Soros trades on inside information, panicked about a Romeny win (story that Mother Jones dropped), and helped Nazis go after his fellow Jews.

This is how the Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan got elected. Her brother, Congressman Russ Carnahan, just lost his congressional seat due to redistricting. He lost the primary to Democrat Lacy Clay. Robin will also be gone on November 6th. I am sure they will be able to retire comfortably though with the stimulus money they received for their wind farm in Missouri and their close connections to George Soros.

I liked how Glenn compared Romney to a mechanic. That’s what we need right now. I also think Romney will listen to the holy spirit’s promptings as a leader. More than we can say about what we’ve got now… our present leader is dead inside, he has no light in his eyes, only darkness and evil. One can only wonder what sort of spirit lurks inside him….
