‘Election Protection’: JetBlue Offering Free Flights Out of the Country if Your Guy Loses

Looking for a little insurance if your guy loses the presidential election? JetBlue has you covered, offering a chance for a free flight out of the country if Nov. 6 doesn’t go your way.
Dubbed “Election Protection,” the airline announced Wednesday it will give away 1,006 round-trip flights — that’s 2012 seats — to customers whose candidate loses next month.
“We’ve all heard it said before: if my candidate does not win, I’m leaving the country,” Marty St. George, JetBlue senior vice president marketing and commercial strategy, said in a statement. “Fun is one of our five founding values, and in this spirit we decided to give people a chance to recover from the political noise and follow through on their claim to skip town if their candidate comes up short.”
Travelers who visit jetblueelectionprotection.com simply identify their political party and choose their desired international destination, including Mexico, Aruba, Costa Rica or Jamaica. Then, if their candidate loses, they’ll be entered for a chance to win a (temporary) escape.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Democrats had beaten Republicans in sign-ups, 62 percent to 38 percent. The Bahamas appeared to be the top getaway choice for Republicans, while Costa Rica barely edged out the Turks and Caicos Islands for Democrats.

Posted on October 3, 2012 at 3:53pmIf people participate in polls to the media, why are they so afraid to give us paper receipts to audit the elections?
There should be poll sites where we can enter our phone number, enter our name, let it check a database (new phone numbers and unverified don’t count), send us a verification text code and then vote in a “poll”? The only way President Obama can win is by stealing the election, since the last election was not won by that much of a margin, and you consider “gay marriage protest votes”, “fast and delirious”, the middle east, and general economic shambles? This will have to be the most audited election in history?
I don’t believe the polls, because they “call a select group of people” instead of really putting out there anything a large group of people could participate or trust in? By giving limited access to pieces of information to different auditing firms, no one would “know who is responsible for voting” to any one group or organization, but still give us accurate results when they publish their findings, when you can compare your “poll vote” or ticket to the published results?

Posted on October 3, 2012 at 3:51pmHehehe, more democrats than republicans, huh? Someone should sign up for a ticket to give to Obama. Bye, bye liberals! And, thanks Jetblue for getting rid of them! Maybe it shouldn’t be a round trip…

Posted on October 3, 2012 at 3:45pmI’ve already promised myself that if Romney loses, or wins by only the thinnest of margins (which will result in an election recall, which is sure to be called for Obama), then I’m going to get ready to move to Texas by next summer. As much as I love Pennsylvania, there is way too much Blue here– I don’t want to be here when things go from bad to worse.

Posted on October 3, 2012 at 5:29pmTexas is a good state to live in. It can be it’s own country because of the size and the people’s sense of Texas nationhood. Truthfully….the whole south is ‘red’ and will remain so.

Posted on October 3, 2012 at 3:33pmJetBlue is run by a Mormon named David Neeleman.
It is also headquartered in Utah.
They will help you escape tyranny apparently….sortof like the underground railroad….cept most of you are not black & it’s in the air. LOL
I’m sure Jetblue Airways will help you find an escape from the troubles of this world…and maybe get you into Heaven too.

Posted on October 3, 2012 at 4:13pmMr. Neeleman (the founder of JetBlue) was ousted from the company in 2007. He is with an airline in Brazil.
The company is located in Forest Hills, NY (not in the Utah area, per Rand McNally).

Posted on October 3, 2012 at 1:21pmAlthough Alaska is one of the US states, it is separated from the lower 48 by Canada. If Jet Blue offered flights to Alaska if Obama is re-elected, they would go out of business with the millions wanting to escape from the New World Order. Then, the state could secede from the union, declare independence, and prepare to defend the borders.
