Obama Scolds Moderator Jim Lehrer: ‘I Had 5 Seconds Before You Interrupted Me’

Part of the storyline during the first hour of Wednesday’s presidential debate was the way both candidates interacted with the moderator, PBS’s Jim Lehrer. Romney lightly joked with him during a discussion on subsidies and Big Bird. Barack Obama? Well, he got a little frustrated and took a shot.

After Obama tried to interject a response to one of Romney’s points on healthcare, Lehrer tried to tell him he was out of time and move on. That’s when Obama shot back a steely glance and a retort: “I had five seconds before you interrupted me.”

Lehrer, however, didn’t take it lightly. After Obama finished his response, Lehrer got the last word in: “Your five seconds went away a long time ago.”

When obama talks about corporate jets, Romney should say “Obamacorp flies around every day on a corporate jest – It’s called air force 1 and it can do other things besides campaign”

  And I thought campaigning was the last thing it ( AF ! ) was meant to do ( is it even legal?).Can some one tell me what Bush did in the hrs after 911 it was the perfect example what the “flying white house” was meant to be!

  You raised a sore point with me. AF One is the biggest of corporate jets that Obama knocks for everyone else. After the election, I would like to see a law that any use of a government aircraft for political or campaign events would have to be paid for by the user, not the tax payer. Even if the campaign event was mixed with official business, the user would have to pay at least half. I am surprised that no media wonk has calculated the billions of tax payer money that has been spent on Obama campaigning and how much the Obama campaign has actually paid under the current law.

  As much as I loathe her policies and her hypocrisy, I am really tired of hearing about the size of her bottom.. Really, guys….she is attractive in an average American way, and her shape is average in proportion. After all, we celebrate not judging people about their looks in other stories. But she deserves a lot of criticism for her moral judgement and her nanny state politics. Go after that!

  what I always think of, is how Obama doesn’t understand us….he has never experienced a Juy 4 picnic or a Memorial day parade…..after the debate, Mooooooshel came on stage, but Mitt had his family entourage….kids, grandkids, brother, etc……..where is Obamas “family”? brothers? sisters? he doesn’t understand this country as he didn’t grow up here…..so someone answer me, WHY and HOW did he become President? the electorate in this country is just plain stupid…….DWTS much more important than checking facts of studying the real Constitution not the way they revise it into what they THINK the Founding Fathers meant……we must educate our kids the correct founding, not the liberals view of it

I pray tonight, I put my keens into the ground, and I pray for my GOD, a GOD from ISRAEL. Romney was brilliant, very handsome, very Presidential, Romney is a good man. And for those who asked why Obama dint bring the 47%, because he knew Romney would bring him against the wall, for the comments he made calling Americans Republicans that enemy, that he want to punish them because they don’t agreed with his polices. Any way ROMNEY WON BIG, AND WITH GOD BY HIS SIDE, GOD BLESS ROMNEY AND HIS FAMILY.

I have to believe all the people helping Obama prepare for this debate cringed when he did that. Obama tried SO hard to keep his true self hidden from tonight’s debate (just as he has spent the last 4 years trying to hide his true self from the world). However, after about 45 minute of getting his a$$ kicked and undoubtedly feeling cornered, the arrogant, childish, and insecure Obama had a truly self-revealing moment. All around he got beat badly. I just hope enough on the fence voters tuned in, and enough Obama voters will feel too deflated to vote for this sap after the good old fashioned ****-whippin he suffered.

  Yep, Fool me once…………once is enough to learn who we don’t need playing games in the Oval Office. Bill Clinton played other games in the Oval Office, but he also kept his pulse on our Country and acted like a President when he wasn’t chasing gals.
  In fact, I’ve often wondered what sinister thing obama had on Clinton to make him say those nice but untrue things about him. Mighty curious. ROMNEY IS THE WINNER, he looks Presidential and seems to know what & how to say things to make us all proud of America, once again. God Bless.

I think all the pauses reflect a wire feed. He doesn’t seem like he’s answering the question as much as he’s repeating what someone is telling him directly in his ear. The only “himself” line is about the 5 seconds. Pathetic
