Former Vice President Al Gore on Wednesday suggested a curious culprit was to blame for President Barack Obama’s lackluster debate performance: Denver’s high altitude.
“I’m going to say something controversial here,” Gore said on Current TV. “Obama arrived in Denver at 2 p.m. today, just a few hours before the debate started. Romney did his debate prep in Denver. When you go to 5,000 feet and you only have a few hours to adjust — I don’t know.”
Glenn Beck on his radio program Thursday called Gore’s comment the “greatest excuse of all time.”

Obama was better off arriving the day of the event vs getting there a day or two prior. Regardless, I can’t believe he even went there. One of the funniest things I have ever heard. Oct. 4, 2012 at 3:31pmActually………and believe me, I am Romney’s #1 fan (I regularly send him contributions as well)………and this REALLY HURTS me to say this, but the second the debate ended, I looked at my wife and said “He was really stupid to train at 2000-feet (henderson NV) and then fly in the same day to the mile high city (5100-feet).
Out of my defense, let me explain… my daughters live with an ex-wife in CA. I drive I-15 between SLC, UT and Vegas (then on to CA) many times a year. When I drive over the stretch 46-mile stretch from Cedar City Utah (at about 5700-feet) to St. George UT (at about 2000-feet… same as henderson, NV)….. I ALWAYS feel Euphoric!!!! Conversely, when I drive back to Salt Lake along that same route, I feel a little bit duller going up the same stretch.
The effect lasts about 24 hours and (sad to say) is very real.
Do I think that’s why Obama failed? No, but it contributed…. happens to me all the time. Sports teams who play in Denver know this to be a very real situation.
Please don’t kill me. lol

What about THAT altitude??? A mile above sea level is nothing by comparison. I go to Denver about twice a year, and I can’t say it has ever affected my thinking. But then, Gore has already proven his grasp of science is informed by his need to be “important.”

So if Al’s theory is to be believed Obama is mentally compromised every time he’s on his plane.
Unfortunately Obama is equally incompetent at all altitudes, so yet another one of Al’s pseudo-scientific theories bites the big one. Bet the average MSM reporter does zero fact checking before latching on to Al’s newest fantasy.
