Beck Blasts Conservatives for Focusing on Non-Issues Where Obama Is Concerned

Just hours before the first presidential debate took place on Wednesday evening, Glenn Beck took time to ponder why conservatives have spent more time focused on the president’s “race speech” from 2007 and not the U.S. Embassy attack in Benghazi, the “perilous state of the economy,” or anything else that that truly matters to the American people.

At the end of the day, Beck believes that the 2007 video featuring President Obama engaged in race-baiting will not “move the needle at all” when it comes to public opinion, but that devoting time to serious issues “matters to people.”

Beck, who believes America is “closer now to World War III” than it was during the Cuban Missile Crisis, also delved into the curious state of affairs concerning the FBI’s alleged investigation (or rather, non-investigation) into the U.S. Embassy attacks. The questions raised in Beck’s powerful segment are damning for the president and worthy of consideration, yet the media at large seems to be turning a blind eye. Why?

  Romney won last night hands down, but I hope that he and his coach’s don’t think it will be that easy next time. Obama will be waiting with everything he can throw at Romney, the man is evil pure and simple and he will come back with a vengenance you can put your money down on that one.
  I bet Axelrod and the rest of his campaign staff could have thrown darts at him, that’s probably what the loud boom was behind stage. Mitt Romney you better put the gloves on a little bit tighter and get prepared, Obama will be loaded and you better be ready. Then again he might be more of the same, who knows but we can all take a pointer from last night, I prayed before the debate that Romney would be on top, so maybe we all ought to be on our knees for the next one too.   I love Glenn but he is too focused on this middle east conflict thing. There should only be one focus and that should be getting back to the Constitution. The commerce clause has been ridden like a dirty pirate ****** forever. When we have statesmen instead of politicians showing up to pass a budget and go home to their jobs we will be better off.

C’mon, Glenn. Eric Holder is in charge of the investigation of the ambassador’s assassination. You know, I know and 3/4 of the planet knows that the final report has already been written. It wasn’t Clinton’s fault, it wasn’t Obama’s fault. This is just another par for the course moment for these people who are in charge of our federal government.
BTW: I hear that the FBI finally arrived at the crime scene in Benghazi today and left after about 4 hours of investigating.

America is such a great big country full of so many different people from so many different places, that it is easy for the MSM to bait us with internal squabbles (esp. between races and religions) and thereby distract us from how we are impacting others in the world.
If we don’t bypass the silly social issues and look beyond our own shores to recognize how others see us, we may very well be unprepared again for another 9/11 (and this is why we were unprepared and taken by surprise on that day too).
Foreign issues are important to our safety and well being and other much smaller countries pay much closer attention to them.

  Glenn is totally right. The Libyan fiasco is a much more important story than the old Obama video. Ambassador Rice was sent to deceive the American people about what really happened at the Libyan embassy.

You are the media Glenn, if you don’t hammer it, who will? Are we going to finally demand that Congress pass a law, that if you serve in the US Military, you have to carry a weapon with a minimum 80 rounds of live ammunition, so that not even the President can say you can’t carry ammo when reporting for duty?

We trust our own citizens with ammo for their guns, but we can’t handle the “optics” of military service people actually defending themselves? If you can’t handle the optics of the military being able to defend itself, then it does not need to be there, where ever that is? How many soldiers leave the military saying to themselves, you want me to report for guard duty, with no ammunition? You don’t trust me, after you spent thousands in training? That’s by design, they want leadership in the military to vanish?

Glenn….let’s try a few less layers for a change. The other day you actually had on a sweater (or two, couldn’t tell), a dress shirt and a dress shirt and tie underneath. You’re a grown ass man. Dress like one.

In other news, you’re my favorite. I really enjoy the Blaze and it is my source of daily news. I think most of your stuff is spot on, though I do believe that the race speech in 2007 WAS a big deal, that ship unfortunately has sailed. Thought Romney was brilliant and was glad to see that the video didn’t come up in the debate.

Glenn, last nights debate was about domestic issues. The “race speech” was a domestic issue. When they have the debate that focuses on foreign policy, Libya will come up.

I think Glenn’s got this one right. We already know Gaybama as a race-baiting, class-mongering, communist sleeze-bag, so why waste valuable air-time like Hannity did, rehashing what we already know?

I want to know what Gaybama knew and when he knew it when it comes to Libya and the 20-something attacks that occurred (Middle East) world-wide on 9/11/2012. What was Hillary’s role? Why haven’t investigative units been allowed into the compound a month after the attacks? Why were the WH stories so convoluted? Why were Marines turned away in favor of Libyan militias to protect the Ambassador?

The MSM is coviering up for Obama to ensure the matter “goes away” and in the firm knowledge that when the truth erupts, and takes Obama down – they are going with him completely for working with him.

As for the conservative advisors on this matter, I feel that ghosts of past defeats are still echoing loud and long in the halls of the RNC…this is in addition to the Republican progressives.

PBS selected the outline and questions, they believed these were Obama’s strong points?

Be assured, we are out here and are very upset about foreign policy, the constant apologizing, and the weakening of our nation–militarily, economically, and abused mentally through belittling and verbal abuse of our very own President.

I agree Glenn .. we seem to country. We are missing the issues that are making America a third world country. We have lost our moral compass to appease a few people that have their feelings hurt. We allow Obama to sign executive orders that allow child soldiers, hurt businesses. jail people for speaking out, force people to eat/drink what he thinks is the right foods, but he does not follow those rules.

We allow Obama to spend a lot more money then we have. He should read Dave Ramsey’s books on personal finances

Because TV, radio, print, music (not just the alleged journalists of the MSM) have created an information vacuum that only focuses on topics that will drive ratings and marketing results. Media are leftist/communist (and US-bashing) around the globe, but at least you see real-world topics being covered when you’re outside of the US vacuum of ignorance.

I am hoping that eventually the news media will wake up to the fact that the reason their ratings are slipping is that we have woke up to the fact that they are not giving us the “news”. fox news or glenn beck and other internet sites i depend on for news, places you know is going to tell the truth. his foreign policy is more important than oboma’s rent from 2007. anybody with a brain knows he is like that. his policies will get us attacked here at home. oboma closing his eyes to islamic terrorist will get us killed there and here. oboma appeasement to these people the dummie does not want to see they hate us. muslims in this country hate us. our borders are wide open. israel sitting in the middle of this hate for them. oboma turning his back on israel. all this is more important than his racist rant. he is not a person that cares about this country and its people, he is just an old dude filled with hate.

Why was security NOT beefed up when requested? My guess is that Stevens’ mission to Benghazi was a covert operation to recover illegal arms given to the rebels and turned sour. You don’t increase military security because (1) the military was not involved and (2) the military logs its operations.

  I have watched Sean Hannity on Fox as well as listened to him on the radio and can say that Sean is much better, open, tell it like it is and more aggressive on Radio than he is on TV. Fox, just like they did with Glenn, censors or controls what can be said on TV, for where radio is not so restrictive.
