‘Morning Joe’ Panel’s Blistering Theory on Obama Performance: Heard ‘Hail to the Chief’ Too Many Times, Needs Teleprompters

The MSNBC “Morning Joe” panel offered a blistering wrap-up of Wednesday’s debate. Mainly, they were down on President Obama, and offered some honest theories as to why: he’s too used to hearing “Hail to the Chief” with no one challenging him, and frankly he’s become dependent on teleprompters.

Watch below (the harshest criticism begins at 7:45):

Here’s transcript of some of the tougher points:

Jon Meacham: “To cite the person who knows most about politics in my life, my eight year old daughter, who came in and asked, ‘Why is President Obama so mad. … And I think that’s a really good way of putting it. It looked as though he was either at the wrong debate, he was in parallel play, and it also looked to me as if he had the classic presidential case of, no one has spoken to him that way in four years.”

Joe Scarborough: “Stop and say that again, because Chris Matthews said that last night, that maybe he’s heard “Hail to the Chief” one too many times. Say that again.”

Meacham: “No one has spoken to him that way — no one has tried to interrupt him — in four years.”

[...]

Mike Barnicle:Β  We also know anecdotally from your reporting and other reporting that we read continually that there’s very little interaction between this president and members of the Senate and members of the House. There’s very little personal interaction. There’s no phone calls back and forth. We don’t know really what happens when he has conversations about the legislation pending and stuff like that. But we do know from last night when Mitt Romney says I don’t know what you’re talking about, we do know the look that registered on President Obama’s face was, you know, who are you to be saying that to me. There’s another element here as long as we’re talking about this, and Jon Meacham is right, that no one has spoken to him like this for the last four years. There’s another element that perhaps should be under discussion. The president had no teleprompter last night. He speaks almost all the time off of a teleprompter. Forced now to stand on his feet after four years in the bubble, getting pushed back a little, he didn’t do too well. He didn’t do too well.

The irony in all this? One of the reasons the president might not be used to people pushing back is because the press has been relatively complacent over the last four years.

We’ve been paying this man to run our Country efficiently for 4 years and find out the only thing he knows is what his teleprompter tells him. Then he said how much work he’s done……….yeah, right!\

He doesn’t talk to anyone (important), doesn’t go to briefing meetings, doesn’t do anything but draw his pay, take our airplanes all over the world for himself & his wifie (for questionable reasons), charging millions to this Nation for their personal fun, then we wonder why he knows NOTHING.

He thought because he finally gave an ok to get Bin Laden was a feather in his cap, when it was Bush’s plan and the Navy Seal’s effort and years of searching & planning that caused it to happen and obama just happened to be in the W.H. at the right time but had no part in getting Bin Laden.

McPain shouldn’t talk – he was so adoring of Gaybama he lost the last election to him. Case in point – bowing to political correctness to such an extent, he fired team members for vocalizing Gaybama’s middle name; set his attack dogs on his own running mate; referred to the demon in the WH as a “friend” and a “good man”.

McPain is correct in this assessment, but he’s still a two-faced hose-bag…

McCain’s right but there’s more at work than that. Add to that a narcissist who has never heard the word “no” other than as he said himself last night..when it’s said to his opposition by him.

The most telling thing was in Luntz’s group last night when a 25 year old male Obama supporter said he’s now voting for Romney because Romney clearly knows what he’s talking about..and when 50% of new grads can’t find work in Obama’s “more teachers, more green job subsidies” economy…you know that means trouble for the empty chair. It was exhilarating to watch Romney fight all 12 rounds, never letting up, throwing forceful punches/arguments at the mentally-challenged commie. Then Romney delivered the KO blow: ” …but we need to have leadership β€” leadership in Washington that will actually bring people together and get the job done and could not care less if it’s a Republican or a Democrat. That is a very astute analysis. Every time the media reports something Mitt says on the road they’re taking something out of context or just misreport what happened. The media had to watch like everyone else as spectators, and it was so bad for Obama that few could spin it in his favor. Even Chrissy M. had to admit that his leg didn’t get thrilled, and that Romney won.

Make no mistake though…the Obama smear machine will have the empty chair pile on the smears next debate. Only now Romney has to a degree innoculated himself from the smears and they will backfire on Obama.

Now the Ryan-Biden debate will be a bloodbath…and its’ going to help Romney immensely like a one-two punch when Ryan dispells the smears against him especially seen next to the clownish Biden.

But next Romney-Obama debate Obama will pile on the smears..it’s too late for Obama though. My guess is Obama’s campaign grossly underestimated Romney while grossly over estimating Obama’s purported charisma. The empty chair thought he’d win it with and economic policy of “more teachers, more green job subsidies” and spinkle it with a few anecdotes about his grandmother and “pre-existing conditions”. He’s never been credibly challenged, not even against McCain. Romney knows his stuff and he’s likable and he’s got the record and the ability to back up what he says. Obama’s got chronic unemployment and skyrocketing debt under his watch and a hugely unpopular Obamacare. Letterman and The View isn’t going to cut it neither is “more teachers, more green job subsidies”.

When you grow up outside of the country you are now a citizen of, how can you possibly have instilled into you (even with non-commie parents/grandparents) any semblance of what it means to be a true citizen of that country – including your responsibilities of carrying the torch as an American???

So many people don’t see it, but it was one of the first things I picked up on years ago. If the dude running your country hates your country, what do you think he thinks of you??? At some point, I would think that emotion would trump food stamps, housing subsidies and free medical.
