CNBC Anchor Confronts Labor Sec. About Allegations Jobs Numbers Were ‘Fixed’: ‘I’m Insulted’

There’s no doubt that there is plenty of skepticism after the Labor Department released the September jobs numbers and the there was a dramatic drop ahead of the election (see our initial report here). So on Friday morning, CNBC anchor Carl Quintanilla confronted Obama Labor Secretary Hilda Solis over the allegations that numbers were “fixed” to make the administration look good. Her response? She’s “insulted” by the suggestion and think it’s “ludicrous”:

  Blink rate is first thing I noticed, too. It was so noticeable, watch how slow or normal it is before she starts speaking. Then blink rate returns to normal around 3:35. Whenever she responds she blinks fast and hard at times.

  They have not fooled anyone with this, in fact angered people that the AXELROD/OBAMA arrogance would think they could. They try to hang this “YOU want people unemployed so you can win” rope around our necks with their few paid trolls roving around saying that… what I’d like to ask the trolls is this: Don’t you CARE about the TRUTH? about AMERICA? Do you love seeing a very few trying to hijack power for their own selfish reasons? ALL SAUL ALINSKY techniques….lie to the people EARLY and OFTEN. I feel sorry for the real people trying to find real jobs when they see phony figures like this… must make them feel weird… like “what am I doing wrong?”….. Nothing…we’re just being lied to again. IF the numbers were really dropping there would be no drop off in mfg of hard goods, etc. and I like the suggestion of reporting increased IRS deductions coming in.
  I know there is a way to make sure this reporting is honest, but do or would I believe this eye-blinking puppet the day after it was said it should be 8.3? Not just NO, HELL NO! AXELROD: Stop digging dude.

  :Last month we were told we needed to create 120k+ jobs just to tread water. Now we’re told 114K jobs resulted in a .3% drop in unemployment. But no, the numbers aren’t cooked, of course not! Not this close to an election!

  The dems will do absolutely anything to win this election – anything. We’ve seen the lies exposed, one by one, with the latest being the set-up murder of an ambassador. Of course now that the lies have been exposed, the administration is going to spend months “investigating” and in the meantime asks us all to withhold our judgement until the investigation is complete (meaning: the election will be over when the truth is finally admitted to).   You would have to compare her blink rate to a baseline when she is not under that type of pressure, but I am skeptical of the numbers as well. Ever since Obama took office the unemployment rate is understated and corrected. This happened almost every month and is an obvious manipulation. The numbers the administration is putting out is obviously propaganda. I hope the voters are smart enough not to fall for it.

  She blinks a lot normally, if you look at her other videos, but this is noticeably more compulsive. Also, watch when it starts and stops. She stops when she stops talking, then when a hard question comes, she starts again. It’s not rhythmic or normal by any means.
  
  Here is the biggest thing for me: the Secretary gets very offended and defensive when approached with skepticism. That’s never a sign of plain old truth. But we can’t confirm just by our analysis that it’s not the true numbers. We will see!!

  yes YOUBECK…let’s look at economics…For the last three months we’ve had roughly 90K jobs “added” (they weren’t really added as we’re still in a deficit for jobs lost in 2009) while roughly 300K people dropped out of the workforce entirely for lack of finding work. Economists predicted 113K jobs this month and an unemployment rate of 8.2%. But what we got was 114K and an unemployment rate of 7.8%. Now…GDP is at a crawl and manufacturing jobs have been evaporating for many months. Salaries are lower. Most of the jobs in this latest report are part time jobs.
  Romney’s win on Wednesday’s debate was so decisive that even the enemedia conceded he won it..and lo and behold…the biggest drop in the unemployment rate in 29 years a scant two days later.
  You tell me champ….something smells funny to you?
  Let’s look further at economics…more people at work means more tax payers which means more government revenue. You seeing revenue going up at all YOUBECK? This is economics 101. Yet Barack Obama can’t seem to get that.

  The Obama admin has been fudging the unemployment rate for a long time now:
  1. People who stop looking for work are not factored in.
  
  2. The unemployment rates were revised upwards for July and Aug. UP. It looks like companies forgot to report $86,000 new jobs for those two months. Uh-huh.
  
  3. The new Sept. jobs are mainly part-time jobs, since the number of people who have stopped working or can’t find full-time jobs remained unchanged at 14.7%.
  
  4. Layoffs or end of temporary jobs decreased by $468,000. That’s huge. In other words, liberals staved off job terminations in Sept. We know for a fact Barack told Defense contractors not to give layoff notices until after the election, so no surprise there. These “saved” jobs will be lost as soon as Obama wins.
  
  5. The one sector that has grown steadily since Barack took office is health care. “Health care added 44,000 jobs in September. Job gains continued in ambulatory health care services (+30,000) and hospitals (+8,000).” Thus people are getting sicker, health care premiums are too high so people have to resort to outpatient services, and more illegals are being treated.
  
  But guess what the state media ain’t flaunting: “The unemployment rates for teenagers (23.7 percent), blacks (13.4 percent), and Hispanics (9.9 percent) were little changed.” Hahaha. The joke’s on you fools!

No one in their right mind would trust a decline in the unemployment rate to the lowest number since 2009 right on the heels of Obama’s dreadful economy debate.   I quick update from a small biz owner, our sales have been up from March this year. Maybe my biz is the seeing the change that we are experiencing in the job market. Household and ADP survey picks up this. In our Chamber of Commerce meeting other biz folks said the same thing about demand picking up.

  Examining the report….most of the 114K jobs were part time jobs.
  Knowing we’ve lost roughly 300K people a month over the last 3 months who simply dropped out of the workforce for lack of finding a job for the roughly 90K “added” (saying added is misleading because we’re still at a deficit of jobs from 2009) each of those months…you tell me champ…how did the unemployment rate go down without some numbers getting massaged at the BLS?

  Look…here’s what’s going on….the Household survey offered 873K jobs. The payroll survey offered 114K jobs. Most of the jobs in the report are part time and home jobs. Clearly there’s a huge discrepency between the household and payroll surveys.
  
  What’s likely happening is that more people are discouraged from looking for jobs and have decided to give some part time home jobs a try hence the difference. Now is the 873K figure accurate? Likely not, but the 0.3 leap from 8.1 to 7.8 is clearly not an accurate number or reflection of the true state of unemployment in this country.
  
  What Obama’s accomplished is he’s discouraged more people from looking for work and they’ve resorted to part time and home jobs.
  The numbers have definitely been massaged whether intentionally or not is another story. Congress should look into it.

  The suggestion that the numbers are fixed is so ludicrous – it could only come in an era of conspiracy theories gone nuts. Anybody who knows anything about how the numbers are calculated, and about how and why they are revised in the two subsequent months, is speaking out of sheer ignorance or malice. There is no other possibility. The BLS are not political appointees, they’re career civil servants and they don’t care who’s in the White House because they’re not going anywhere and will outlast all the administrations. What they do care about is the integrity of their numbers because a failure to guard THAT would cost them their job. It’s about the only thing that would.
  
  How about educating yourself on how the numbers are calculated and revised. Try stepping away from the conspiracy theory addiction that plagues the right these days and looking at facts for a change. You might like it.

  I call BS. The real numbers to consider are, how many able bodied Americans are there in the 18-65 age range, subtract those enrolled in college, subtract those who have retired early and ARE NOT on a government program (food stamps, welfare). That is the true number. If you factor in those people who work part time and are on food stamps this would be the (under)employed number. Those “who have stopped looking for work” or have expired their unemployment eligibility, if they are not working are still unemployed. Another “miracle”, those jobs numbers are USUALLY revised down by 10,000 or so, yet these are revised up (July’s have been through at least two revisions) about 40,000 to 90,000. Really? They really can’t do a better job than that? They were off 50 to 80 percent? That inspires confidence!

  Economists predicted 113K jobs “added” (we’re actually at a deficit of jobs since 2009 so “added” is misleading to say) last month and an unemployment rate of 8.2%, it was meant to go up slightly…yet “coincidentally” after an abysmal debate by Obama we got 114 jobs “added” and the rate falls to 7.8%.
  The numbers have been tinkered with, Solis knows it, Obama knows it, Axelrod knows it, Jarrett knows it.

The federal government stopped paying EU (Extended Unemployment) benefits and this caused the number of people allowed to claim unemployment benefits to decrease. Just because people can’t claim to be unemployed doesn’t mean they are now employed. What’s needed is a data base that allows people to report that they are unemployed regardless of whether they are receiving unemployment compensation or not (we know this will never happen).

  We only added 114,000 jobs last month but the rate declined as many Americans returned to the workforce to look for work. As more American’s begin to look for work they are now considered participants in the labor force which means the unemployment rate should have increased, not declined, when you only add 114,000 jobs. Plus the dept of labor statistics revised employment numbers upwards for July and August. Revised from 96,000 to 142,000 in August and 141,000 to 181,000 in July. How can the DOLS be so inaccurate on their original report? This doesn’t pass the smell test.

We’ve had abysmal job reports of figures like 386,000 people giving up looking for work each month for the last few months and only around 80K to 90K finding work. The Fed gives us unlimited QE3 to spur job growth. Obama give a dismal performance at the first debate..so much so that even the enemedia had to concede a Romney win…then VOILA…the BLS gives us the biggest drop in the unemployment rate in 29 years in the face of the highest underemployment rate since WWII. And what is this “miraculous” drop in the unemployment rate made up mostly of? Temporary jobs.
  
  Rick Santelli at CNBC actually predicted it almost to the decimal point..he said the Obama administration would report it dropped to 7.9% around a month before the election.

  This has been going on for months. First they bring out “good” numbers for the media to print stories on how the economy is improving. The headlines are “unemployment down” and everyone says what a good president Obama is to be leading this recovery. Then 30 days later they silently release downward modified numbers. These stories run on page 12 of the business section.
  
  Problem is they could lie fast enough to get the number below 8%. They ran out of time so they had to escalate the process. I expect these numbers will be revised downward after the election.

  There are estimates made in coming up with the number. That part is pure WAG in some cases.
  
  There is a major plant in Decatur, Illinois of a major corporation that will have 5 weeks of layoff in November & December. Elswhere in the same corporation they are laying off contractors.
  
  Does that sound like a healthy economy?
  
  It seems as though the economy is tanking again.
  
  The economy is moving in fits & starts. When the economy has a slight uptick every now & then the presstitutes & administration crow about it.

Believe nothing that comes out of the Obama Administration! The U-6 report (which includes those that have dropped off the unemployment rolls) is still standing at 14.7%. The U-3 number, which the released report is based on, will probably continue to come down because the number of months people can collect is back to 6 months. Don’t be fooled.

  Her report shows 114,000 new jobs created (slower than the popultion growth). The number of unemployed dropped by 456,000. This means 342,000 dropped out of the work force in the month which is exactly 3 times as many found new jobs. So they said “Crap only 114,000 new jobs created when we need 75% more than that to drop below 8%. I know, let’s just say 342,000 dropped out of the work force. Bam employment is below 8% easy peasy.”

  There are plenty of Republicans that are trying to destroy their party from within – or at least change the party platform to mirror their ideology. I think “all democrats are evil” is a wrong and misleading statement. I’m sure there are many democrats that are angry that their party has been hijacked by extreme leftists and want to see their party embrace more conservative values than it does now. And because those democrats stick around, they will fight extreme leftists within their own party instead of ditching it. There are many democrats that you’d swear were Republicans. The math doesn’t add up. Hilda Solis is as corrupt as they come. Something tells me the unemployment numbers in the past few months are much worse than has been reported.

  I want them to report the number of people who paid taxes each week to the IRS.

  Im part of the 47% I dont get any government checks and i wont go back to work while the commie in chief and his **** ugly ole lady and the niglets and dog takes a nother vacation on my dime…Im doing just fine…and i may go back to work when the commies are out of my white house.
