Man Tells Obama His Business Has Been Going ‘Terrible Since You Got Here’

An Ohio market vendor told President Barack Obama on Friday that his business has been going “terrible” since the president’s arrival, according to media reports.

Obama was greeting different vendors at Cleveland’s West Side Market when he came upon the proprietor of Rolston Poultry.

According to the White House pool report, Obama asked the man how business was going.

“Terrible since you got here,” he replied.

Reporters were unable to get close enough to ask the man his political affiliation. According to the report, Obama “didn’t appear amused by the sentiment” and the Cleveland Plain Dealer said he “quickly shifted direction to another stand” after the encounter.

The Plain Dealer noted that the man had appeared annoyed prior to speaking with the president and “grumbled” as reporters commented about his chicken display.

“Take one home with you,” he said, according to the newspaper. “I haven’t sold anything in 40 minutes.”

This guy is brave…They are going to round him up like they did the “film maker”….Our Freedom of Speech is already Gone. They just haven’t made it official at the UN.

Think of all the “Words and Phrases” we ALREADY can not use. Make a list, starting with The President of the United States’ Name. I’ll get you started..War on Terror, Islamist Terrorist, Islamist Extremist…Look at what happened in the Olympics, We couldn’t say USA.

  I heard earlier today that Obama was in Northern Va (Fairfax County) this morning doing a stump speech.
  
  He then flew out to Ohio to meet up with the “Chicken Man” for lunch? Looks like Valerie Jarret set this up to counter the “Big Bird” Taiwanese chain saw incident. Looks like the “Chicken Man” prefers Obama stuffed, skewered and deep fried.
  
  I guess I could say that Axelrod and Rotisserie both skewer the dark meat evenly. Miss Chrissy will be licking up the drippings soon enough.

  The Jerk: I think the sign probably does say “Fried Chicken”, you’d think Obozo would have ordered a couple of buckets of it. I’m sure Obozo wasn’t amused, he can’t handle it when someone doesn’t act as if he’s God and don’t get all starry eyed. He probably turned around and said to his security detail, “we’ll deal with him.” just like the NAACP guy.   Actually @turkey13, the correct title of Obama’s book is “Dreams FROM my Father” (emphasis mine)!
  
  Specific words are very telling–what the book is about is not “dreams” his father dreamed, but rather dreams/goals that his father believed in, wanted to be enacted and in Obama’s way of seeing it, that Obama was RECEIVING FROM HIS FATHER, in order for the son to complete!
  
  This is covered in several books about Obama where this particular book is discussed. But the very first time I heard the title, I noted to myself that it was VERY STRANGE WORDING, thinking he meant exactly what you said, “Dreams ‘OF’ My Father” (emphasis mine), and someone had made a mistake when talking about it. Then I discovered that the title stated was correct, and as I read the book I felt that whoever chose the wording of the title, they KNEW what they were doing and were imparting additional information on who and what the POTUS really was and intended. . .

  I would think the reason business was bad is because the secret service has shut down the area & so that means no business while he moves around. People in a food business like this must sell what’s precooked, (in this case within 40 min’s) or throw it away at a loss. That’s why he’s upset at the question. It’s a stupid question!! What the boy genius should have asked is “how does your food taste” or “what’s good on the menu” not how is your business going!   so small business & America can once again, exhale & prosper.

  buy a chicken from the poultry vendor,
  patronize your small businesses-
  you will miss them when they’re gone

  to pop into this vendor’s market & do a little business with him.
  
  It ALL adds up and surely, will make his heart light.
  
  It’s mid-Saturday afternoon,
  if you can’t make it there this weekend,
  try to show a little, small business solidarity
  and patronize this poultry vendor & a few of the others, within the next week.

  Sorry, but you are wrong about “banned phrases and words.” It may not be officially against the law, but a month or so ago the White House said those phrases were BANNED – not just by the government, but also by the public. Additional “banned” words are “Chicago” (which is “code” for Black, they say). Another is “Rule of Thumb” (which is supposed to come from an old law saying a man could not beat his wife with a tree branch larger than his thumb). There were more, but you get the idea. Southwest Patriot knew what he was talking about – you Pounced on him for no reason.

  Hope he never comes to our town again. The last time for less than 2hrs total time from airport to town hall and back to airport, it cost our little town almost $40,000. He should pay his own security on these ventures and not expect cities to pay for the un-honor of his visit.

  I think he meant it literally. When the President comes to town, all the traffic (foot and vehicle) is stopped for blocks around for security. Remember Disney Land? They shut it down when he was there robbing people of their vacations bought and paid for. There are those of us who (rightly) feel that business had been bad since he was inagurated. Heck, when he was elected, the stock market crashed. But I think the business man here meant since he and his minions got on site.

They are lying. The issue could be cleared up by the prosecutor sending a letter to the SSA asking for a copy of the original application that goes with 042-68-4425. Apparently, that was too much trouble.

According to the report, Obama “didn’t appear amused by the sentiment”. OBlamo is so thin skinned! Does it scare the crap out of anyone besides me that this unhinged emotional wreck of a president has his finger on what is left of our nuclear arsenal?
