The Surprising Moment a Defendant Winds Up and Cold-Cocks His Attorney

Usually when you see violent courtroom outbursts they don’t involve the defendant attacking his own attorney. But that’s exactly what happened in North Carolina this week when a just-sentenced criminal took out his rage on his public defender.
Lamarcus Williamson, 30, was not happy after being sentenced to 15 years in jail for robbery, drug and — you guessed it — assault charges. He turned to attorney and clocked him in the jaw with his handcuffed fists.
“I was shocked, I did not see it coming. I hit the floor,” attorney Dan Hall told WSOC-TV.
Courtroom video of the incident shows Hall, a 25-year veteran of the public defender’s office, falling to the ground as court officers seize Williamson and drag him out.

Hall told WSOC he was left with a sore jaw and a few loose teeth, but otherwise escaped serious injury.
“I’m not a good boxer,” he said.
The York County Sheriff’s Office charged Williamson with contempt of court, meaning he could face an additional 16 months on top of his 15-year sentence.

1. It doesn’t help you at all. How does lumping crime rates together by race help solve crime? It doesn’t.
2. It is the path not toward solutions, but toward genocide.

Posted on October 5, 2012 at 4:01pmAlthough I am not condoning this outburst, I can tell you that public defenders are the worse attorney you can have. They are understaffed, overworked and do not have the time to defend a client with the zealousness that they should. I felt like punching out my son’s public defender on a charge, that my son was not guilty of, because he did not care that my son was not guilty, and wanted him to plead in order to get the case done with. I also know that police put as many charges on someone that they can, and sometimes the charges are not what actually took place. I do not know what this case is actually about, what was the robbery? What was the assault? I just had a friend of mine that was attacked and tried to defend himself but was charged along with the attacker on assault charges. The drug charge? What kind of drugs, how much and was he dealing or what?

I am against crime, but you cannot jump to conclusions about anything a person does if you do not have all the facts and this article does not present all the facts and so I would say it is an unfair article. This guy may not have deserved the punch as much as the public defender that he was filling in for. We may never know.

It is exactly because of low intelligent, self-hating, brainwashed white do-gooders like you that we are having tremendous numbers of black on white attacks.

Blacks cause trouble in every society they have migrated to and nothing you can say will change that fact.
People like you should be picked up and set down in a black neighborhood to live for about six months so you can enjoy to the fullest all the joys of diversity.

You are innocent until proven guilty, but that does not mean the tax payers should be paying you defense. He had already plead guilty there wasn’t much left for the lawyer to do. He also wasn’t assigned to the case he was covering for someone else. Don’t do the crime if you can’t pay to defend yourself.

Lawyers are politically more dangerous than any number of fired up junkies. It ain’t the junky class playing the ol’ rope a dope with what is supposed to be established law. I refer you to the current administration’s desire for the defense industry to delay layoff notices.
Yeah, it’s the junkies who you really gotta worry about.
Let me ask you this: You defend yourself LAWFULLY with deadly force from a junkie OR you defend yourself LAWFULLY with deadly force from a lawyer. Which scenario is more likely to see you viewed as a criminal regardless of your rights?

Thanks for the laugh! That was rich! My goodness, you sound SO convincing. The problem with lawyers is they KNOW they’re the rule makers, and, thus, the rules will always reflect their will and best interests. Shocking, yes? It’s good to be king… or at least the scribe that pens the law and minds the coffers. Yeah, tell me how the private prison industry is really a lawyer-approved entity working for the good of the American citizen. Oh, wait. They actually advocate for stiffer sentencing and broader laws. And there are plenty of lawyers involved in that process.
Think of recent concerns concerning the general well-being of the U.S. and its citizens:
The housing bubble and subsequent bailout and general economic collapse: The movers and shakrs were generally protected from their greed and graft by the lawyer caste (both in and out of gubment).
Calls to limit free speech (with the current Islamic call to criminalize blasphemy and ongoing lamentations regarding the Internet) are ALWAYS led by lawyers.
The move to limit how you and I travel (see the TSA): Penned by lawyers.
Calls to limit gun ownership and possession in the U.S. Always led by lawyers.
Tax code: Penned by lawyers.
Yeah, lawyers are REALLY working towards a more free and open society.
You still feel like the lawyer caste has your best interests in mind?
Go ahead, make me laugh some more. The fact that we elect this lot to represent us is mind-numbing.

I can’t think of two finer representatives of general “tribes” who don’t give a crap about the average Joe. Both lawyers and junkies want to screw us and do as they see fit. We need a helluva lot less of each. The junky solution is easy: Give ‘em all the poison they want and then some. Cheaper and more civil to the collective then the exercise in futility known as the War on Drugs. Lawyers… well there’s an old joke about what you might call 200 lawyers at the bottom of the sea…. Lawyers are responsible for institutional progressivism and our authoritarian government. They are the busybodies who put thought into action.
