Update: NAACP Leader Challenged Obama Staffer to ‘Ten Rounds…In the Ring’ After Alleged Threat

NAACP Official David Lowery Reportedly Challenged Obama Staffer Louis Raymond to Boxing Match

Chicago NAACP leader David Lowery is embroiled in a national controversy after claiming an Obama campaign official threatened him because of his political views.  After he made his disappointment with President Obama clear, Lowery claims Louis Raymond, the Illinois political director for Obama for America, called him and said: “You know what? We know everything about you…We’ve been watching you, and since you don’t support Obama, we’ll deal with you.”

Soon after Lowery went to police, the story went national and the Obama campaign issued a statement calling the incident a matter of “miscommunication.”

But now, more information about the entire situation is coming to light.  Apparently Lowery attempted to settle the matter “mano-a-mano” with Raymond, promising to drop the charges if Raymond would come on his radio program and commit to what he described as “ten rounds…in the ring.”

The Chicago News Bench uncovered video posted October 4th of Lowery saying on his radio program:

“I’m sending this [olive branch] to Obama’s team, and to Louis Raymond who called me and threatened me.  Brother, come on my show– that’s going to be one of the stipulations.  I want you to come on my show and talk about why you feel that David Lowry Jr. is a threat…I’m a talk show host and that’s my job, to put it out there so people can understand both sides of it.  But you stepped over the boundaries with the threatening and if you’re stalking me, whatever… And then I will give you another chance.

If you want me to drop the charges, then I can…I’ll drop these charges if you vow that you will come and you [will] do ten rounds with me in the ring.  I’ll drop the charges.  But if you don’t, I’m going to keep pressing these charges because you had no business doing that, you disrespected me, and now you’re [going] to pay for that.”

Here is the YouTube clip, with the description: “Let The Truth Be Told With David L. Lowery every Thursday @ 2pm on http://IntellectualRadio.com“:

It is unclear whether Lowery considers his radio program to be the “ring” in question, or whether he is actually looking to box the Obama staffer.  Raymond has not issued a public response either way.

At the current time, the Obama campaign’s response remains: “Unfortunately there seems to have been a miscommunication regarding this conversation, and we have since discussed with the campaign staffer in an effort to clarify the matter.”

The statement adds that President Obama “continues to support the mission and principles of the NAACP and the work they do.”

I think what he did was great!! & we need to see more of it. When these people make threats against someone like in this incident…….a good ole fist-to-cuffs would probably make him think twice about running off at the mouth again.

I know that many have received death threats from the “Regime”. It is time for them to come forward and speak out, from Senators to Representatives, from Judges to TV hosts, from pollsters to journalists. All have to speak out and stop these thugs. This leading and threatening from behind has to stop. The “Regime is spreading the Chicago-thug-culture all over the U.S.A.

No real story here. In the end both will support Obama because of Obama’s skin color.

If Sweet Old Barack gets reelected he and Epic Holdup probably have a list of all the folks who have said bad things about them. They already have the FEMA camps and now the prison in Illinois. The Dept of Homeland Security, led by Fat Janet, will be the lead for the arrests.
    Be afraid, be very afraid.

      “They” should be “very afraid”.
“They” might end up in those FEMA camps. Treason is punishable by imprisonment and death.
Someone did tell me that if “O” get re-elected that the FEMA camps will be the new home of drug
addicts, gang members and welfare recipients who the “federal government” cannot afford to feed
anymore, along with the union members whose pensions were given to the demoncratic campaigns.
Vote for”O” and wind up in a FEMA camp……now THAT IS SCARY.

How is a threat miscommunication. Lets put the shoe on the other foot, what if the NAACP leader said the exact word to the White House staffer? Do you think that the Secret Service would have been called to investigate the NAACP Leader.

Forget the supporter, lets put BHO aka POS back in his Mommy Jeans (the same pair he wore to throw out the first pitch) and then put him in the ring. I would pay good money to watch some big brother beat the sh!it out of girly Barry.

I read a news article regarding how Hugo Chaves deals with is enemies. Same as Obama. Threaten people and I wonder if the MSNBC hacks will say anything about such stories. Maybe Bill Maher can give another million to help pay for more weed, and Stewart believe that Obama in general is better than Mitt.

Another Black on Black violence in a major american city.

    Mr. Lowery, kick his a$$.

President Obama “continues to support the mission and principles of the NAACP and the work they do.”
As He compares them to gays and lesbians.
That is Right NAACP. Obama compares drinking from the same water fountain, voting, and and riding in the front of the bus with gay sex in the park. He equates marching with Dr. King with dancing in the street a g-string.
