See the ‘Surprising’ Recently Declassified Images of the Military’s Supersonic Flying Saucer Design
Even though the White House has said aliens do not exist — based on current evidence — in the mid-part of last century the Air Force was at least trying to emulate the design and technology often depicted as being used by extraterrestrial life: flying saucers.

(Image: NDC Blog)
The National Archives blog recently featured declassified documents of Project 1794. This project, the blog states, was set to design a disc-shape aircraft that could perform “vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) plane designed to reach a top speed of Mach 4, with a ceiling of over 100,000 feet, and a range of over 1,000 nautical miles.” The work for the project was contracted by the Air Force to the Canadian company Avro Aircraft Ltd.
National Archives describes images from the declassified report from 1956 as “surprising, perhaps never before seen.”

(Image: NDC Blog)
The project’s final development summary states that reaching supersonic speed at such a high altitude was possible and the aircraft would have “satisfactory handling throughout the whole flight.” If the Air Force moved forward with creating the flying saucer prototype, which it acknowledged in the summary would require more performance tests, it was estimated to cost $3,168,000. Wired notes that today this would be $26.6 million.

Why doesn’t our military jet around it flying saucers now? As Wired points out, the project was scrapped in 1960 when they couldn’t get anywhere close to the altitude goal of 100,000 feet.

Posted on October 8, 2012 at 1:39pmI remember the Avro Car. It was a daring leap in engineering – clearly a dreamer’s project.
It seems there’s a lot of engineering issues here. Computers for constant control? It would seem a turbine inefficient when transfering the thrust to adjust course and loss of energy. If using conventional fuels I would think, would be ineffecient. 1000 mile range seems a bit far-fetched but visionary. I think you could apply what we know today in tech and create something a bit more efficient to make free of gravity’s hold?
It seems the Germans during WWII were experimenting with these types of craft and have been described by earlier civilizations but not in war configuration but as transportation using what we call ‘unified field theory’ as a basis of propulsion. I don’t know but it sounds intriguing? Just things I’ve seen and read as I’m a closet engineer geek that ‘tinkers’ with ideas no matter how outlandish it could be thinking, “there has to be a better way?”
There is free energy everywhere – I think Tesla discovered something big, its too bad he didn’t complete it. Maybe we weren’t ready for it? I don’t know. God is cool, mysterious and wonderous all at the same time.
Overall, I think Avro was projecting a bit too far in there claims of speed/fight capabilities – maybe someone will pick up the torch, aey?!
May the dreamers keep coming!!

Posted on October 8, 2012 at 2:18pmI believe you are spot on. Tesla most likely discovered something that the powers that be could not allow to be developed and this is where free markets fail. If we allow companies to become as large and powerful as that of the energy markets, there will be people involved in them that will prevent their demise at any and all costs.
Now, I do not propose to know how to fix such situations, but I certainly can see the damage the can cause and this is why: we’ve allowed businesses that grow to a huge size to lobby and dictate laws to be passed by our government to ensure their protection and their remaining on top of the world, e.g. Monsanto, Dupont to name a few. The majority of WE THE PEOPLE want GMO labeling on our food, yet Monsanto is large enough to have bought the verdict on this already in many states and to disallow consumers to know what they are eating. We see the same sort of corruption in industries such as cosmetics where legislation has been passed to make the bar high enough that most at-home startups simply cannot compete. The food industry as well — you cannot sell foodstuffs without a roughly $50K investment to build a commercial kitchen.
These are not just consumer-protection issues … they are corporations ensuring their longevity by making it very difficult to compete with them. Money talks — because there are very few people living honesty and character today (and I doubt ANY in government!).

Posted on October 8, 2012 at 2:19pmLet’s remember, a mexican physicist’s work on ‘warp drive’ were just recently supported by cern and with less energy required, even utilizing space fabric itself . Although, the energy required is still out of reach for us at this time, we are drawing closer, as we push the envelope of our understanding.

Posted on October 9, 2012 at 8:33am@JHRUSKY “this is where free markets fail”. Sorry dude, not really true. You even contradict yourself when you state that giant corporations influence government to pass regulations that protect the giant corps. That is actually true and goes to the point that our markets have not been “free” for decades. A true “free” market would not allow the creation of these regulatory barriers to entry and these technologies would be able to become viable. Now, we have all heard of the carburetor that was developed years ago that allowed vehicles to get 6 million miles per gallon but was supressed because the auto and oil companies wouldn’t allow it. Everybody knows someone who knows someone who knew a mechanic that has one of these carbs in his basement but is afraid to use it. Lets think about that for a moment….if it was what they said it was, don’t you think someone would have run with it given the profit potential?? Corporations are greedy….we are all greedy but corps are larger and easier to swing at, so we condem their greed. But it is greed that would have motivated someone or something to mainstream this as it would have given them the monopoly of the technology and control of that market which = big $. Much bigger $ than stuffing the tech in the closet to continue to make meager profits on the status quo. Green energy is a classic example. By your theory the technology has been developed to end fossil fuels but is being supressed by the giant corps. Real

Posted on October 9, 2012 at 8:39amPart II…A technology that would revolutionize the world is something every business, person, entity, is dreaming of and would undoubtedly be exploited BECAUSE of greed. Now, having said all this, we are now in a regulatory environment that severely limits the amount of innovation that can be brought to market easily and is further hindered by a government that plays favorites with business and technologies and therein lies the rub. Free the markets and it will come.

I stand corrected. I agree with you that regulatory barriers being fostered and promoted by big business are the problem. I incorrectly stated ‘free markets’ which you correctly point out that we haven’t had truly free markets for years.
Can we ever get back to free markets? I dunno … doesn’t look good. In fact, this upcoming election SHOULD be 90% against Obama, yet it’s neck and neck, or at least close thus far. Once we cross the precipice of 50% of the people being assisted by government handouts, can we ever go back to a truly free country with truly free markets?
Scary times we live in. I have to go find John Gault.

Posted on October 8, 2012 at 1:04pmIn 1965, in CA, I was standing outside of my house with my brother and two other friends at 8:30 in the morning to walk to school. We heard an noise and looked up. About 1000 feet up was a flying saucer that looked very much like this one, only it had orange and gray coloring. It hovered for nearly 30 seconds before pivoting around and quickly disappearing out of sight, flying off at about a 40 degree angle. It was seen by many others. The evening paper, the Herald Examiner, I think, had a front page article about it. On the front page there was a stock picture of a UFO that looked like a silver upside down bolo hat, not anything like what we saw.

Posted on October 8, 2012 at 10:03pmWe can’t honestly believe that we are the only intelligent life in the universe.
In 1976 my brother and I saw a object identical to the drawing hovering above our neighbors house about 9 o’clock pm. There were about twelve acres seperating our house from theirs. The UFO hovered above the house then shot a bright light down on the house. the UFO did not make any sound. The object then slowly moved away from their house about one hundred to two hundred feet above the ground. We then watched it move up really fast and stop then did a zig zag thru the sky and then zoomed away super fast. We couldn’t believe what we just witnessed. There were other sightings around the Corpus Christi Lake three weeks later. Years later there were sightings of three large red objects in the night sky around Corpus Christi which the police in the area followed until the objects disappeared.

it was called Project Silverbug..and when the avrocar couldn’t manage anything more than a hover of a foot or so, they cancelled everything.

Posted on October 8, 2012 at 2:25pmAnd I believe that the History Channel has footage of a plane in the 50′s – 60-s that had “circular” wing surfaces. And these were designed from captured German Military aircraft plans that were in the research phases. Even the B2 “Batwing” Bomber was developed in the 1940′s by the Horner Brothers and was a flying prototype at the end of the war.
You can also find other planes like this in a book called: “Secret Projects” of the LuftWaffe, they had both fighters and bombers in planing stages.

Posted on October 9, 2012 at 2:38amactually, this thing has no real “wing” surfaces at all. it is purely thrust-driven. the 6-8 turbojet or turbo-ramjet engines are arranged in a circle and exhaust into a central chamber, and then that pressure being directed out or down as needed. the theoretical boost in efficiency it was supposed to get from adding together the exhausts of all those engines never really worked.

Posted on October 8, 2012 at 10:54ami saw this same space ship in 1971. in the hill country of virginia i was traveling home with my 2 year old daughter about 1:30 am. there was snow on the ground but not on the road. t turned on a country road to my house about 5 miles down this road with a large valley and mountains on each side. i saw that the hood of my car and the surrounding area was lit up thinking it was a spot light coming from a business some where i kept driving. when i realized this could not be a spot light i looked up through my windshield and saw this thing. it kept following me when i got to my house i pulled onto the carport grabed my daughter and hurried inside. knowing this thing was still out there i locked us in a bathroom with no window. after about 20 minutes i came out peeped out the livingroom window this thing was still there about 50 ft off the ground of my front yard. it was well lit up where the windows are and had lights shining down on the yard and house. did not see anyone there where these windows were. it made no sound. i watched thing move slowly across the road and shot off at lighting speed. i don’t know what they wanted with me. the thing scared the crap out of me. did not tell anyone for a long time.

Posted on October 8, 2012 at 1:00pmWhen I was a boy, there use to be this nice neighbor lady who would come visit my parents. On several occasions she claimed she had worked for an aerospace company that was working on flying saucers. At the time she seemed credible (had some interesting knowledge that would have been hard to fabricate). Later she started heavily hitting the bottle (excessive drinking of alcohol) displaying nutty characteristics, especially when she’d go to a then famous actor’s house (Sterling Hayden) who lived around the corner, and in a rowdy display challenge him to come out and make lover to her. I figured the flying saucer thing was probably nonsense. Who knew.

Posted on October 8, 2012 at 10:31amAs some have pointed out correctly, it’s not new, as seen with the Nazi flying saucers. The US took a lore more than that from Nazi Germany. Prior to WW1 Hugo Junkers designed the first flying wing. Later, under the Nazis, the Germans built the first actually airborne flying wing. If you take a B2 and compare them, the German version back then could fly without all the fancy computers that are now required to get a flying wing in the air.

Posted on October 8, 2012 at 10:38amClearly, Knight of Malta Geoffrey T. Boisi is one of the Order’s “movers and shakers” in the grand theft and destruction of the American peoples. Part of that orchestrated “chaos” is the plot to “outsource” American jobs to foreign nations whose laborers work for slave wages.
Adviser Douglas R. Brehm has discovered the Company’s power behind the nation’s corporate outsourcing of American jobs via the duplicity of Knight Boisi. It is also worthy of mention that former General Electric head Roman Catholic Jack Welch is connected with Boisi, remembering that GE is one of the Order’s foundational contractors for the building of the Vatican Empire’s anti-gravity craft commonly called “UFOs.”
