Israeli Lawmaker: Obama Has ‘Not Been a Friend of Israel’

Israeli Politician Danny Danon: Obama Has Not Been a Friend of Israel

JERUSALEM (TheBlaze/AP) — A lawmaker from the Israeli prime minister’s party is in the United States ahead of the presidential election — and he’s speaking his mind.

Rather than shying away from addressing controversial policy disagreements he has with President Barack Obama, he said today that the president has “not been a friend of Israel” and that his administration doesn’t understand some of the issues that are at play in the Middle East.

Danny Danon, chairman of Likud’s international outreach branch, said in Chicago on Tuesday that Obama’s policies have been “catastrophic.”

He also says he is not interfering in the presidential race but merely stating his personal opinion. He has previously praised Republican candidate Mitt Romney.

Danon said he will also travel to Florida and New York to promote his new book, “Israel: The Will to Prevail,” and to meet with Republican and Democratic leaders. Philly.com has more about one of the arguments presented in Danon’s controversial book:

Danon’s argument is simple: About 40 years of U.S. attempts by Obama and previous presidents to broker a peace in the Mideast that includes a Palestinian state have failed and should be abandoned. “Being a member of a group,” he writes, “does not ipso facto mean you should have a state.” He proposes, instead, a “three-state solution. This would entail a regional agreement with Jordan, Egypt, and Israel that would give Palestinians land and other rights across these areas – not land to form a distinct Palestinian state.”

Last month, the Israeli politician also took aim at the Obama administration’s Iran policy, calling it a failure that has yielded poor results. Rather than preventing the Middle Eastern nation from recognizing its nuclear goals, the U.S. government’s current policies have purportedly done little to temper the situation.

“It is a failure because you look at the results and you don’t give a grade A for effort, and the result is that Iranians continue to build the reactors, Ahmadinejad is coming to the U.N. every year,” Danon said in an interview with Newsmax.TV. “He’s actually laughing at us because we talk, we write reports, but he goes back to Iran and he’s continued with enriching of the uranium and building their reactors.”

The politician’s most recent comments could be embarrassing to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been trying to shed accusations that he favors his longtime friend Romney in the race for the White House.

A prophecy Sept. 21, 1977: “And we shall say unto you, now is the time of the Anti-Christ and the preparation for his reign….And all things shall be done for his coming, for he walks your earth now. We have told you before, of the Black September, and now we shall tell thee of its beginning. We told you before, unless the Eagle [USA] spread its wings and did protect — we say unto you that as the Eagle gives away its land, as the Eagle ceases to protect Israel, then woe be man. Yet we say unto you, the temptation shall be great. But for those who should resist the mark of the Beast, the reign shall be short, four and one-half years.
The preparation — as we are here to prepare the way for the coming of the Messiah, so are those that are here to prepare the way for the coming of the Anti-Christ. The giving away of the land of Panama shall show your first weakness; the granting unto the Palestinians that that they wish shall be second.
But the Lord has said unto you, “FEAR NOT….”
Yet good cheer shall be found in all. Man shall know his neighbor, and learn not only to love him, but to trust him. Father and children shall be brought together….Have the faith to know that the sun shall shine again.
Put yourselves together. Let not race or religion interfere. If you can learn this simple lesson, to respect each other’s religion, that in itself shall be the first step to your thousand years of peace. That will be the first step toward the end of your wars.”

As U.S. Presidential policy was being formulated by Jimmy Carter, the above was given. November 3, 1978, four months before the Israel-Egypt peace treaty was signed, warning prophecy continued:
“Yet, many things — the advancement of those who prepare the way for the Anti-Christ are growing across the land, even into your Presidency, deception — this false treaty that he [Jimmy Carter] should have Israel sign with Egypt. We say unto you this, for he who should place his name upon this treaty with Israel and Egypt, look closely, for he shall be one of the heads of the Anti-Christ.
But do not underestimate the Israelites. As we have said before, the descendents of Abraham may be changed as easily as turning a stone. But as Ishmael was given a promise, so must that fulfillment come also.
There are wars and rumors of wars. And great wars, the greatest of wars, has not happened yet.
We shall also say unto all of you, your inflationary depression has not ended….”

aside from the religious importance to christians, is there any other reason to be bending over backwards and possibly into war for Israel?

Yes, continued existence of Western Civilization, as we know it, and the joining together in acceptance of one another’s faiths and freedom of religion (not jihad and world-wide struggle for Caliphate) in a thousand years of peace upon Earth. The American Constitution, not Sharia law.

Maybe because they are a member (full) of the United Nations and are therefore accorded the same rights, including existence, as any other nation. Note: palestine is not a nation.

Glen, here is a truth you should enjoy…we are sure that the democrats embrace the palestinians over the jews, this is a truth that cannot be denied…however, the jews , accept for the orthodox, will to a man vote for obama…why??? When he meets with bibi, obama’s disgust is almost palatable….so why do the jews embrace a man who so obviously hates them??? Because the almost competely secular jews hate jesus christ, christianity, the bible..etc along with the democrats and the conservatives are by and large christian, god fearing and embrace Jesus Christ.. this is the TRUTH.

Do you still continue the myth of the Catholic church? Grow up, Jews have nothing against Christians. Jesus was Jewish. The problem is with people as you that hate Jews on shallow basis.

This guy does have a point about the whole 2 state approach being a complete failure. Personally, I have a hard time understanding why Jordan has never be asked to participate in solving the Palestinian issue when their country is 70% Palestinian. More Palestinians live in Jordan than anywhere else. And if it wasn’t for Jordan annexing what we now know as the West Bank, a Palestinian state might have already happened.

I didn’t see anything antisemitic. I’ll stand with the Jewish people that don’t want war. You and GB can stand by the ones that don’t believe in the teachings of Jesus.

This is breath-taking because Israeli leaders don’t historically say things like this. Obama is that bad and that hostile to our ally that they feel they must speak out. Read more insights at: http://smallcraftadvisorychronicles.blogspot.com/

      We stand with Israel,
Obama CORRECTLY, let Bibi know, be that as it may,
Israel will not dictate OUR foreign policy or send OUR sons and daughters into war.

It’s NOT Israel’s decision or this male Joan River’s either.

Jews with integrity could never vote for the guardian of human atrocities embodied in President Obama. There is a quiet resolution in this man to do nothing to stop any act that will weaken or threaten Israel. It’s a waiting game, and all he needs is just a little more time. Jews, will you give it to him?

Danny is right. I agree with Pastor Hagee. God has made a covenant with Israel to this land 5,000 years ago and it is their land. I would never agree to break God’s covenant for any purpose. The devil wants Israel to break it’s covenant with God because then he thinks he wins. Do not give in Isreal..Do NOT COMPLY. Stay strong and have faith as was credited to Abraham. Shalom, Shalom
